I've been thinking about starting something like this for a while now. Here's a very general overview:

- Hamilay 1 billion population celebrations (hurray for me :D)
- Dignitaries/diplomats from other countries invited
- Terrorist attacks
- Things blow up and the Hamilay government is panicking over a major international incident, international representatives possibly killed/injured
- Counterterror forces try to stop multiple terrorist attacks
- A country is funding the terrorists and they are discovered
- (possibly) Full-scale war breaks out

We'll just play the rest by ear as we go along. These are the parts:
Hamilay
Terrorists/Terrorist funding nation- The Aeson/Illayina (?)
Visiting nations (can be either bystanders caught in attacks or also send in counterterror forces)
- Usea-Jason
- Byrrilium
- Illayina (?)
- Maldorians
- ChevyRocks
- Mationbuds
- Novacom

And yes, I have been watching too much 24.

No state religion- staunchly atheist. Religion isn't banned, but the majority (approx. 65%) of the population are godless atheist heathens so they'd definitely be in the line of fire by religious fundamentalists.

No problem.

If at all possible, I'll like to join in if I'm allowed. I've got some time constraints though, so could only play a minor role. My nation speciallises in Biological technology, so could either supply the terrorists with weapons (I do have some very exotic bio weapons) or could use their expertise in helping mop up? Mind, I can't do a full scale war, so funding the terrorists may not be a good plan...

I'll join as well,mabey at one of the diplomats that gets attacked.

i could send some diplomats... seings as Byrrilium sends Diplomats to allmost everyone and tries to remain neutral, yet has exxellent anti crime/terrorism units.

Good, more victims... uh, volunteers. The Aeson, your government is a rather democratic and upstanding government, right? So I assume they won't be funding the terrorists?. Although I'm not sure yet, I'd like to keep the option open for a full war with whoever is funding the terrorists, so I might try find another backer as well. Illayina- fine by me, The Aeson will probably be able to tell you more.

My nation has a good air force. I guess I'll help counterstrike terrorists

Not so much democratic, but yeah, we're very moral people, and my state religion holds that virtue is more important than faith. (Actually, that's what led to the Ehznoists in the first place) I'm good like that.

So no, government not funding them, although there's one or two incredibly wealthy individuals in my nation who are.

I suppose so, but I was thinking more specialforces-ish, with training being more important in this situation than firepower, since Hamilay has a ridiculously overblown military budget and plenty of planes to do the job themselves. Although not necessary, it would also be nice if the people sending counter terror forces can also send diplomats to the initial gatherings.

So how interesting a biological attack are we allowed, or in the case of the Aeson, willing to, commit? Are we talking traditional stuff like nerve gas, or are we able to go into more... interesting stuff? (possibly bordering on the sort of stuff out of rez evil). Also, perfectly willing to lend a hand with my marines, or indeed Section 17 if nessercary, in mopping up if I'm not helping the terrorists

I'll spray them with anything you provide me with. Unless there's like a Catholic gas, that turns everyone that inhales it into a Catholic. That would sort of be shooting myself in the foot. No Catholic Gas.

Sorry, no resident evil stuff. Turning people into things creeps me out :( . Your traditional nerve gas or viruses. Nuclear is also fine, as long as it's only "dirty bomb" type devices.

Hmm, interesting, because as you can probably tell from my nation description we're very capitalist. Illaynia- but... but... but... nukes explode! and make pretty noises and colours! and pretty clouds! they're the only wmds which explode! :( Go ahead and send in a diplomatic team, it'll make things interesting. Are they going to be spies further working to destabilise the situation or are they not going to have prior knowledge?

Hamiliy - Sorry, ain't using nukes, unless you really want to have some used, in which case I can come up for an excuse for why some guys in the goverment would want to use one.
And nope, the diplomats have no prior knowledge, and most likely will get caught in the cross fire. Simply doing it to make things more interesting if I get some extra time to post :)
Any idea when you're starting?

Let's say I already have it, to keep things simple. What have you got?

Pretty much anything you like, considering we aren't going for the most exotic examples.
What do you want it to do? It can have any number of affects, from quick, painful death like nerve gas to slow and drawn out. It can incubate for a few hours or days, or strike instantly. We can have it so it kills off the organs, withers the flesh, kills the brain, causes massive internal tumors, or could even make it flesh-eating. Basically, whatever you would prefer.
I'm guessing it needs to be spread by air, but we can also pack it into explosives so we get the all essential KA-BOOM! if you want. More impressive, and gets people panicing and moving around quicker, so it can spread faster.

Flesh eating's good. I have a couple of model airplanes I can spray it from, via remote control. Might be easier than trying to get someone into the area with a canister.

Good plan. This should be fun :p

Okay, I think there's going to be two simultaneous attacks. One is going to be the model airplane spraying a flesh eating virus on the delegates, I think the second one is going to be the flesh eating virus released on a subway train. Would that be all right Hamilay?

No problems. However, since there are trigger-happy soldiers all over the place, I'm not sure if a suspicious-looking model aeroplane might get through, although it's not impossible. I was thinking of some conventional attacks too, maybe they could be a distraction?

By the way everyone, just to clarify, the state dinner and celebrations etc won't start for the next day or two. The delegates are being greeted at the Palace by the officials and then will be brought to their hotel.

Car bomb should be sufficent to draw attention from a model airplane.

yeah i was thinking that a little romote controll plane, which usually make a fiar amount of noise i might add, would get noticed. especially seeing as my dignitaries have over-cautious bodygaurds who would shoot a gnat if they thought it was a threat...

What are the symptoms of this disease? Is it airborne? Fatality rate?
