Bio: Riley Jefferson comes from Alabama and volenteered for the military to fight for his country in it's time of need, regardless of race it's everyones country, white or black. Jefferson left his mom, four sisters , five brothers and his father at home to take care of buisnessin vietnam.

short Bio: Got drafted (1 year before the RP begins), because he wasn't able
to get into a college. Frankly, he would've joined anyway, though. On his first tour, he was eager to serve his country. On this, his second tour, he's just in 'Nam because it's what he knows. Looks out for the men in his squad, and in the platoon at large. Is vengeful against the NLF, but respects them as an enemy, and usually refuses to take part in any attacks on civilians.

Bio: Dick is a career solider. He graduated West Point near the bottom of his class, but he was considered one of the top officers of that class. He was born in Texas, but lived most of his life in Chicago. This is his first tour of duty in Vietnam, and is looking forward to combat.

Bio: Normal life, went to Collage studying medicine and Training to be a doctor. When Vietnam broke out he joined up becoming a medic. That was three years ago and now on his 3rd tour Corroll was in a deep state of depression stiching up humans everyday for Three years.

21 years, old moved to Ireland at three came back at 18. Found guilty at trial for numerous misdemeanors and had to face shot jail time or join the Army. Was a common thug of the times. Pale, 5'11' 160lb. Slight remaing accent earned him the nickname "Celtic." Did a little para-millitary work for the IRA from the age of 15 until he left Ireland.

I know that if you get hit than you get the purple heart. If you get sent back to the lines and are hit a second time than you are awarded an oak leaf cluster (pinned onto your original purple heart) I don't know about a third time...

Hey, Drexel, you say Celtic Crowley got his name for his Irish accent, well... It's far more likely that he would've been named "Mick". A lot of the soldiers probably don't know what the hell Celtic means...

Celtic is a term for Celtic people. Irish, Scottish, etc are Celtic groups

He never really has said that he was in Ireland. He doesn't wanna real tell people about it because he did some stuff for the IRA. He just says he was in a Celtic Country.

And wanderjar, have you posted in my Northern Ireland IC thread yet?

So, based on his name and his accent, soldiers will figure out that he's Irish, and during his days as a FNG, he'd get called Mick a lot. Why would anyone call him "Celtic"? Also, note that he was born in America but moved to Ireland at an early age...
It's been three years so the accent has probably at least become less noticable...

short Bio:Gunney Bernard was demoted from being a sergeant for getting in a bar fight with his commanding officer. A career soldier whose first tour was in Korea, he's not the best when dealing with authority of those "pansy ass career boys." Chose the M-14 as his gun do to his distrust of the M-16 due ot it's unreliability early during the Vietnam war. Also carries as a momento his grandfather's service revolver from the First WOrld War.
