They treated this day like any other at first. They went into their office build across from the Parliment hous in Belfast. The went up to their wing of offices where they were least likely to be disturbed by visitors. As always they were clad in their suits and all of them wore gloves at all times. It had become more of a trademark now than a safety precaution.
The only person who didn't go about their usual routine was Brendan Crowley, the man in charge. He went through each part of his filing cabinet that was in his office. Out of each he pulled one thing. Alone the things were of little use but together they formed his weapon.
Carefully aiming the scope he called over his intercom to one of his men, "Shay, start the fire." No reply came. Why would one? Once Shay had heard his commander start to issue an order he was up and on his way to do as he was told.
Shay went down into the cafiteria. He acted as thought he were trying to get some food as he tried to light a cigarette. He bumped into someone on purpose and dropped his lighter. Grease that had dripped onto the floor from many meals dropped gave the fire a nice healthy burst of growth. The fire alarm sounded through out the building.
Crowley pulled the trigger twice. "See you in Hell Paisley," he said under his breath as he dismantled the gun and loaded it into his breifcase. With that he ran out of his office wing with his two other men and joined the stampede of people over reacting and trying to escape what they thought was a death trap.
Once out on the street Crowley and the two others, Keane and Duff, met up with Shay once more. They left down the street, not reacting to the sounds of sirens in all directions. They had accomplished their goal.

Father Fitzgerald was walking up the street when he heard gunshots, then sirens. He heard screams, and rushed back to his car. Instead of gonig away from the mob, he went the opposite direction. He sped to a stop outside the Parliamentary Building. He opened the glove compartment, and put a dark purple stole around his neck. He slid the leather ritual book into his clerical shirt pocket, as well as a bottle of sacreed oil he, miraculousy, had in his car, as he was comming from a sick call, and rushed as close as he was allowed to the building. He looked around, and sighed. He walked closer to the building, and, waited by the ambulances. As victims of the fire came out, he anointed the Catholics that he recognized, and those who yelled for him, with the oils.

Yes, please do try to put a little more effort in...
OOC: Drexel, I didn't claim to make an IC post. I posted nothing because I had to think of what to write.
Parliament House, Belfast
The entire place was in chaos. With the fire starting to encroach on the surrounding buildings, the firemen were even more desperate to put a stop to the blaze. The police were out in force to keep others away, to stop interference, and were armed with submachine guns to broadcast their seriousness.
"Sir, look!" One of the officers there ran over to the corporal and looked down at the body of Doctor Paisley. Seeing the bullet hole through his head, he picked up the body and motioned for the corporal to do the same.
"Come on! Get him out of here before the blaze arrives!" They rushed out of the burning building with the body, and put it on a stretcher, loading it on a nearby ambulance to be whisked to the police station. "Bloody Republicans."

10 Downing Street, London
"What?" The Prime Minister smashed his fist down on the desk when he heard the news.
"They assassinated Doctor Paisley and set fire to the Parliament House."
"Who?" The aide shrugged.
"We don't know, but we believe it was an element of the IRA."
"Damn them, I knew we should have never engaged in talks. How many troops do we have in North Ireland?"
"Eleven thousand, sir." The Prime Minister thought a moment, and smirked.
"I will bring this up with Parliament."

Parliament House, Belfast
The police captain looked over his shoulder to see a company of tanks rolling down the streets. "It's about damn time." The Captain of the company walked up to the police captain.
"You in charge here?" The Police captain nodded. "Not anymore. Parliament declared martial law in Belfast and the surrounding area. We're securing this area, and the 22nd is going to drop by." The police captain raised an eyebrow.
"The Minister is sending the SAS?" The Army captain nodded.
"That he is. We can take it from here, now. Go." The police captain nodded and went to round up the rest of the force deployed here. The smoke from the now put-out fire in the House was very strong, but bearable. At least the building didn't go down, he thought.

Father Fitzgerald looked down at Paisley's body and crossed himself. After his work was done, he approached a British officer with Captain's chevrons, "Captain." He extended a hand, "I am Father Sean Fitzgerald. I was here shortly after the blast." He sighed, "Any idea of the casualties?" He wiped the soot that had clung to him from his forehead, and put the bottle of oils in his pocket.

OOC: I was agreeing with you when I quoted you Drescon, sorry if I was a little vague as to whom I was addressing.
Crowley and his men were moving quickly. They had already gotten into a car that they had parked in a near by public garage.they moved down the street. "Where we goin' boss?" Shay asked. "South of the border, I got some friends waithing for us there," Crowley told him. They drove a good five miles below the speed limit to prevent suspiscion but that had to be careful that if the area was to be sealed off that they were out of it in time.

OOC: Oops.
The Captain turned around and looked down at the Priest.
"Well, father, no, no real idea. We have five confirmed deaths, Lord only knows how many injured, and it seems a deliberate death, too, but I'm not at liberty to speak. If I were you, though, I wouldn't hang around here." The Captain sighed. "However, since you're a priest, I think I can trust you. We think this was an IRA or some other branch-off of them, they're the only ones that could pull something like this off. When word gets out, the UVF is going to be ticked off, especially if they find out one of the deaths. It's not safe here, I would skip out of town." The Captain then left without ceremony to ward off the rest of the onlookers.
One of the Lieutenants came up to the captain with a message. He spoke softly, but they were close enough that the priest could hear.
"Sir! We got word from Heathrow that the 22nd is coming down are way." The Captain grunted and smirked.
"They're taking this seriously."
"I'd say so, sending the bloody SAS."
Further South, however, all open access routes to Ireland were being shut off and placed under the control of the British Army. Only a few knew that some form of the IRA was involved, and even fewer knew of the assassination, but that didn't stop the soldiers from shutting down travel.

The priest yelled after the Brit, "I won't abandon my people, Captain. And wouldn;t you be smart enough to know that once the bloody UVF gets involved, then you really got a show on your hands. Shouldn't you be after trying to control them too?" He turned and walked away. When he got back to the rectory, he called his brother, Seamus. "Two minutes, a secure line."
---
From a phone outside, Seamus called his brother, the priest. Fitzgerald said, "Seamus, are you involved?" He replied, "Brother, I was not. NAother group. Some constables comming. Gotta run. See ya soon. Or better, you'll be finding me and kicking the shit out of me, for not talking longer." Sean replied, "Keep safe. God Bless." He walked back to the Rectory, bretahing a sigh of relief his brother wasn't involved. Yet.

Crowley's cell rang. He quickly pulled it out and answered it, "Yes. Shit, and the West? Damn. Okay, I'll get back to you." He put away the phone and pulled over, "Boys, we've been fucked. The Brits have already closed the borders and the SAS is on the look out. Get out of the car now, split up and meet me tommorow night at point Delta. 1900 hours, see you then." His men got out of the car without a word and dispersed into the crowd. Point Delta was a small, private peer in Derry, a yacht club. They had over a day to get what they needed to blend in there, Crowley was a long time member.
Crowley drove around for a little. He saw a church and a preist on the phone outside of it. As he approached the man ended his conversation and headed back in. Inside the Church Crowley caught up with him, "Father I need to talk to you, I have commited a rather large sin."

"Certainly, young man." replied the priest. He led the man into the church, and slipped a purple stole on. He brought the man to the vacant rectory office and said, "Is it a matter of confession? What is on your mind?"

Brendan looked the older man in the eyes, "Father I admit that I have commited a vast number of sins in my life, and for them I am truly sorry. However, one of my most heinous sins has made me feel justified, not guilty. You see, the man who shot Dr. Paisley was me." He waited for a response from the preist.

The priest said, "Murder is never justified, except under certain conditions. I am not sure this was one of them. Paisley was not a very good man. He blasted the church, and Ireland. My brother, who is a member of the irish nationalist movement would have shot him if he could. Remember, however, that as a Christianm you must learn forgiveness. Think of this: Ireland will have more trouble now than before Paisley was killed, at least for the short term. Think of the deaths in Ireland you will have caused. For your penance, I would like you to read and reflect on Christ's passion every day. Think that every time you commit a sin, you are responsible for Christ's murder. Say a decade of the rosary everyday for the peace of Ireland, and try to attend mass every day. Finally, my child, do good works for the church as often as possible. And pray for Ireland, we will need it a lot now because of the murder you are responsible for." He frowned, "Say your act of contrition, and I will give you absolution."
