This is a OOC Thread .

I found this NS Military calculator which calculates the size of your Military Full Time Men and Reservists . Feel free to comment on its accuracy and such . Maybe it could even be the official NS Military calc ? Who knows .

Well, it told me that I have more than four billion reservists, and, on investigation, I find that I had under-estimated my population, so I think that it might be a lot of horses' bum. No offence or anything.

Work it out yourself. It's a hundred thousand billion times better that way, assuming that your IQ is better than 85.

Actually , assuming that your nation calls up all males for National Service (like my country in RL) at a certain age and after graduation from NS , become reservists until lets say 40 . Between that time they will have to go back regularly for reservist training . That is what I did for my NS Nation .

All this 'calculator' does is giving you a percentage of your population as military - .1% for 'Pacifism', .5% for 'Need for defence', 2% for 'To secure peace, prepare for war', 5% for 'Security is paramount', and 10% for 'Get them first'.

With 'Reservists' being 60% of the population, regardless of what you choose, so long as you have conscription.

Now, apart from this completely disregarding XML feed, UN rankings, 'Little' details such as concentrating on shinyness or reliability...

... You need a calculator for that? Seriously. This is 5th grade or so (My memory's hazy) math, and calling this a 'Calculator' is... well, the creator must have a truly monstrous ego. He's not justified in having it, though.

This is basically a fixed percentage calculator. You should be able to do everything this calc does on an actual calculator, and being as it uses some highly dubious figures [Germany and America get 'need for defence' and even North Korea is only in the middle band] um...No.
