Announcement to the World

Dweldelfia prime is now entering the space age. We are planning on launching 5 Delta III rockets off of Cameroon. These rockets will hold 5 satellites. 2 spy satellite, 1 nuclear interdiction satellite, and 2 Orbital weapons platforms. These satellites are made by the Sundassala Corporation.

Information about the Satellite

Nuclear interdiction satellite

The Nuclear interdiction satellite would fire a Chemical Oxygen Iodine Laser, or COIL, invented at Phillips Lab in 1977. The laser's fuel consists of the same chemicals found in hair bleach and Drano - hydrogen peroxide and potassium hydroxide - which are then combined with chlorine gas and water. The laser operates at an infrared wavelength of 1.315 microns, which is invisible to the eye. By recycling chemicals, building with plastics and using a unique cooling process, the COIL team was able to make the laser lighter and more efficient while - at the same time - increasing its power by 400 percent in five years. The orbit of the nuclear interdiction module would be similar in performance and power levels to the multi-hundred kilowatt class COIL Baseline Demonstration Laser (BDL-2) module demonstrated by TRW in August 1996. As its name implies, though, it would be lighter and more compact than the earlier version due to the integration of advanced aerospace materials into the design of critical hardware components. For the operational ABL system, several modules would be linked together in series to achieve ABL's required megawatt-class power level.

Spy Satellite

Examples of reconnaissance satellite missions:

* High resolution photography (IMINT)
* Communications eavesdropping (SIGINT)
* Covert communications (HUMINT)
* Enforcement of nuclear test bans (see National Technical Means)
* Detection of missile launches

Pictures taken by this satellite would be ejected in canisters of photographic film, which would descend to earth and be retrieved in mid-air as they floated down on parachutes.

Orbital Weapons platform

Most information on the orbital weapons platform is classified. But we can release that it can hold a nice sized load of Ballistic missiles.

Plan for launch

The Delta III rockets will be shipped form layatreb Defense exporters in the EOL to the Terinorian Island of Cameroon. The satellite will be loaded onto the rockets on Cameroon. Once the rockets are prepped they will be rolled out to the launch pad. Each rocket will be launched 5 minutes after each other. They will go into orbit and eject there payload.

Next Day

The Carrier OLS- Empire was anchored off the coast of Cameroon. 5 transport ships carrying the 5 Delta III rockets. The port at Cameroon was busy with people preparing to offload the rockets. 5 F-41B Multi-Role STOVL Aircraft flew over head in an air patrol. Once the transport ships were anchored huge cranes lifted the rockets out of the ships and onto trucks. The Satellites were transported by C-2 Galexys. The galaxies landed on Cameroon in the afternoon followed by 4 F-63KB Tengriy Definitive Air Superiority Fighters. Once the C-2s landed the cargo was off loaded and taken to the vehicle assembly building were each delta III would be put together one after another.

George Vince head of SSAD launch preparation watched as the rockets were geting assembled. This was the first job for him. If he screwed this up he’d be a goner for sure. "Sir we are ready to load the first Satellite." "Proceed." A crane picked one of the Satellites off the ground and lifted it up very slowly. Sweat began pouring out of George's face. The crane lifted it up to the height of the top of the rocket. It then went to the side to put it in the rocket. George began sweating even harder now. The crane gently set the Satellite in the rocket and the payload bay doors were closed. George breathed a sigh of relief. The first one was loaded... But wait there’s 4 more!

Day 3

The next day as the sun rose over the vehicle assembly building. All 5 rockets were prepped and ready to go. The SSAD pre team began to load the rockets onto the crawlers for there long trip to the launch pad. Fighter patrols continued over the Island from the nearby carrier. The Assembly Building doors opened and the rockets rolled out.

Announcement to the world

Dweladelfia Prime has declared a no fly zone over the Island of Cameroon. Any plane of any nationality or type will be shot down if they come within 5 miles of the Island of Cameroon.

Day 4

The rockets are halfway to the launch pads. Fighter patrols are bigger than they have been since the rockets are out in the open. Patrol cars are flanking the pads, and Helicopters suround the rockets. Only 2 more days till launch.

Day 5. 1 Day Till launch

The Rockets have reached the launch pads. Crews have begun hooking up fuel tubes to the 5 rockets. The count down clock has begun. 24 hours till launch it says. The Prime minister of Dweladelfia Prime has arrived on the Island to watch the launch personally. Fighter patrols are ever the more present. SAH-27A "Peregrine" Next Generation Attack Helicopters patrol the skies near the pad. SSAD crews are inspecting the rockets outside for any problems that might hinder the launch.

Day 6, Launch Day

The day has finally come. Launch day. Its 10:34 am Cameroon time. The SSAD team is in the control tower waiting for the final countdown. The prime minister is heading to the control tower to give a talk to the SSAD crew. Fighter patrols are heavy. Every plane from the carrier is in the air. Helicopters patrol the area in a 1 mile radius of the launch pads. Security is high. Marines have been flown in to guard the area around the launch pads. 5 E-2C Hawkeye’s are patrolling around the island making sure no planes of any kind come near the island.

Control Tower

Prime Minister Jacob Yellowstone walked up the stares into the control room. "All rise for the Prime Minister." One of the Marines on guard said. The whole room rose in respect of to Prime minister. "Thank you." the Prime Minister said. "Today is a great day in the history of the Imperium. Today is the day we enter the space age. And you are the pioneers of it. Good luck and good hunting." And applause insured the Prime ministers speech. It was now 10:50. 10 Minutes to launch. The hundreds of reports on the island began broadcasting to there news networks. The Prime minister sat down in the control room to watch from a distance. The 5 Rocks glimmered in the sunlight. The bright hope of Dweladelfias Future was in those rockets. 5 minutes to launch the load speakers said. The SSAD team was awash with anxiety. The countdown clock was ticking away. Each minute seamed like a life time. The countdown clock was at T minus 45 seconds and counting. All eyes were on the rockets now. T minus 10....9....8.....7.....6......5.....4.....3....2.....1...... With the final second the boosters came roaring to life. All 5 rockets lifted up off the launch pads. "That’s one small step for man... One giant leap for the imperium...."

ooc: well, congratulations, see you've been a busy bee. Thing is Cameroon is mine, I'd be more than happy to lone you Bjornoyan land to launch as Cameroon along with much of Equitorial Africa is perfect for satellite launches.

I'd appreciatte a TG next time. Even though I'm D13 I check my TGs every so often. In any case we'll assume Visara granted permission for a nominal fee.
