Hi all!!

Is anyone interested in participating in a Jamestown rp? Below I have some links on the subject if you’d like to check them out.
Jamestown is the first English settlement that survived, however just barely. If it wasn’t for Captain John Smith and Pocahontas I’m sure the colony would’ve failed.

Some characters you could be;

Powhatan: The father of Pocahontas and the chief of the Powhatan Indians. He had a huge territory of land that stretched from Virginia to North Carolina. He had many wives and children.
Pocahontas: Basically;to make a long story short she was Powhatan’s favorite daughter and she helped the colonists out and saved John Smith’s life.
Captain John Smith: I really can’t do any of these characters justice, to make them more appealing so here’s a link about him.

You can also be John Rolfe (who Pocahontas marries in 1614 however we are in 1607) He didn’t show up in Jamestown until I believe it was 1612; however this is an rp we can change anything even history! After all, Pocahontas is between the age of 10 or 12 years old in 1607. We can change whatever about the characters. However, I must insist that we keep the RP realistic! No machine guns or anything like that.

So, is anyone interested? You can be whoever; make up a character even! You can be a native, settler, one of the 3 captains that had command of the 3 ships over from England…
Christopher Newport, Bartholomew Gosnold and John Ratcliffe were the captains of the three ships. For even more info go to:

That may be true about the people of Ronoke, however nothing of the colony was ever found back then. That's why it has been named, "the lost colony."

Ummm, what years does this run around..i would say...1600? ...im slightly more towards the 1700's when things were better established, well at earylist 1650...1655...

this takes place in 1607..when Jamestown was founded. I know you (among others) like more and better weapons, however think of what and all that had to happen in order to get those better weapons and settlements?

Im guessing we dont have to solely stick to the characters given, because its not like they were the only people around at that time, heh? Im up for it.

Name: Captain Samuel Weston
Height: 5'6
Build: Well built
Role: Privateer (or "Pirate"), perhaps one of the most renowned? Plundering and attacking ships etc., makes a home out of Jamestown? Just a few ideas. Feel free to find a different role if you dont think this would work.

Ship: 'Mercedes'

Short Bio: after a mutiny, he commands the ship Mercedes with good relations to the Spanish, bitterly hated by the English for his mercilless attacks on their vessels (despite being English himself). Catching onto the three ships coming to this new land, he decided to make use of the new shipping routes and colonists, and plunder what he could. He has strong links with Jamestown, having a large amount of gold buried just outside the town. He cannot get to it with the town there.

Hey to The Religious Order, that sounds great! And, since your character has been there before, the natives must know of him since the natives themselves didn't have gold.

Hi, this looks great. I'd like to invent a character, a Captain from the Royal Navy sent to defend Jamestown from foreign competitors and Indians, as well as defeat pirates (That's you The Religious Order :P). His name is Captain Horatio Hornblower (I'm not original) in command of the HMS Lydia, 36 guns.

Sounds great! Just remember to keep things realistic..anyone want to play the part of any natives?

Biography:Was the captain of one the three ships that founded Jamestown on May 14, 1607. Later, became 2nd president (not governor) of Jamestown. Killed by Powhatan Indians.

If we need a way for the natives to know of my character (if that was the thing that needed sorting out) then it could be the capturing of a number of their tribe, plundering food and general supplies or helping them out in a spot of bother with the English or something, and not being generous but expecting help back at some point. Just a few ideas.

I'll be the natives...stand by for details, i will be trading for firearms aswell :)
