Ministry of Defence, the Constitutional Monarchy of Fami-Lee
The Constitutional Monarchy of Fami-Lee hereby declares her intent to formally establish a military, hereafter referred to as the Fami-Lee Armed Forces. To equip this military, His Majesty's Government declares an open bid for contracts for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Requirements:
(a)(i) Army Infantry
1. Assault rifle: One hundred and fifty thousand (150,000) (Domestic Production Rights preferred, but not needed)
2. Pistol: One thousand (1,000) (Domestic Production Rights preferred, but not needed)
3. Grenade launcher, rifle-mounted: Five thousand (5,000) (Domestic Production Rights preferred, but not needed.)
4. Grenades of appropriate calibre, for above weapon: One hundred thousand (100, 000) (Domestic Production Rights preferred, but not needed)
5. Light Machine Gun, also known as Section Automatic Weapon: Five thousand (5,000) (Domestic Production Rights preferred, but not needed)
6. General Purpose Machine Gun: Five thousand (5,000) (Domestic Production Rights preferred, but not needed.)
7. Light antitank rocket: Five hundred (500)
8. Crew-served antitank missile: Five hundred (500)
9. Mortars: One hundred (100)
10. Sniper rifles: One hundred (100) (Domestic Production Rights preferred, but not needed)
11. Man-portable Air Defence System: Two hundred (200)
12. Grenades, fragmentary: Twenty thousand (20,000)
13. Explosives, plastic: 1 ton (1)
(ii) Armour/Vehicles
1. Medium Tank: Twenty-four (24)
2. Infantry Fighting Vehicle: Forty (40)
3. Jeeps: One hundred (100)
4. Trucks: One thousand (1,000)
5. Projected Line Charge, also known as bangalore torpedo: Fifty (50)
6. Artillery: Sixteen (16)
7. Howitzers: Sixteen (16)
8. Surface-to-Air Missile Launcher, mobile: Twenty-four (24)
9. Surface-to-Air Missile Launcher, emplaced: Twenty-four (24)
10. Appropriate SAMs:nine hundred and sixty (960)
(b) Air Force
1. Multipurpose fighter: 36 (Thirty-six)
2. Bomber, Tactical: 24 (Twenty-four)
3. Heavy-lift cargo aircraft: 12 (Twelve)
4. Air-to-air refuelling aircraft: Six (6)
5. Early Airborne Warning and Control System: Four (4)
6. Trainer aircraft: Twenty-four (24)
7. Unmanned Aerial Vehicle: Twenty-four (24)
8. Medium-lift helicopter: Twelve (12)
9. Utility helicopter: Twelve (12)
10. Scout and light attack helicopter: Twelve (12)
11. Attack helicopter: Twelve (12)
12. Medium-lift helicopter, naval: Four (4)
13. Antisubmarine and anti-surface unit warfare helicopter: Four (4)
(c) Navy:
1. Frigate: Four (4)
2. Gunboat: Eight (8)
3. Cruiser: Four (4)
4. Landing Ship, Tank: Six (6)
5. Destroyer: Six (6)
6. Mine Countermeasure Vessel: Two (2)
(d) Munitions and spare parts
All weapons, vehicles, aircraft, and naval ships shall come with an appropriate amount of spare parts and ammunition for maintenance, training, and military conflict. The actual orders shall be placed at the end of the bidding process, negotiated only with the suppliers.
However, about five hundred million (500,000,000) rounds in total for small arms, with an annual contract for about two hundred million rounds (20,000,000); twenty million rounds (20,000,000) in total for vehicles, with an annual contract for about 5 million rounds (5,000,000); ten million rounds (10,000,000) in total for aircraft, with an annual contract for five million rounds(5,000,000); and ten million rounds (10,000,000) rounds for naval vessels, with an annual contract for two million rounds (2,000,000) are to be expected
(e) Terms of delivery
Terms of delivery shall be decided upon by the Ministry of Defence, upon completion of bids.
(f) Final notes
All bidding shall end on Friday, July 15th, 2006, 0000 GMT+8 (OOC: in the 'real world'). The Ministry shall give preferential treatment to any bidder on this thread, but it reserves the right to seek its arms from outside sources should they prove unsatisfactory to the needs of the FAF.
