The Reborn Roman Empire

The Eastern Rome
07-07-2006, 06:00
From the end of the Western Roman Empire to now, Eastern Rome has stood up and become a great power. In real life, it fell in 1453 but my version is a different one.

Here it is (Note- May change later on as I am planning things out still, I suppose):

After the Turks were converted to Christianity (Muslim missionaries left Turkish soil, got it from a Alternate History website, stuff that follows is based from the same), the Emperor of Eastern Rome was intrigued by General Brasilius who utilized the traditions of the Turks to make them a fighting force. The Emperor had married off a daughter of his to Kath Pasmisha, a Turkish tribal leader. He has been called Parmino and he tried to help boost the Turks in Latinization, though Turkish still kept going. The official church of the Turkish pepole became the Church in Constantinople. The Emperor then noticed a ruler of the Turks, Senalcus Cornelius. Senalcus was a man who was named Basileus of the Themic Frontier, making him responsible for guarding that area.

Senalcus noticed the Crusaders (in the website, this is all in the 1100's) and decided to make peace with them. He was respected amongst the Crusaders for his character. Senalcus passed and with that brought his son, Romanus Cornelius to power. It was during the time of Senalcus that the State of the Turks was made for him to rule. Romanus became the next ruler. Romanus is known for consolidating the Turkish State. After Romanus was Augustus Corvinuss. Augustus was a good man and he did do some things for the State of Turks. After him was Cornelius Brutus. Brutus ruled over the State of the Turks until his passing. Oppius, his son took power. He was known for the Great Campaign in which he took revenge on the Crusaders for 1204.

He sends three generals to the Crusader States: 1. His son, Honarius Maximus 2. Angharold and 3. Rasha Mohammed. With these men, he wreaks havoc on the Crusaders, taking the Crusader States and annexing them, including Jerusalem, but not to the Eastern Roman Empire, but to the Turkish State (which was allies with Byzantium).

After the end of the Crusader States, a notice of peace came from the Pope. The Three Generals consolidated TS power in the new conquests. The daughter of Angharold, Mary of Colonia married Honarius Maximus. However, they are killed later on (some time after Honarius is head of TS), Thadius Vercellius Maximus takes power. He has a new figure with him, Pasha Al Khar ib Ifanzi who is a respected figure.

Thadius made treaties with Byzantium, now at peace and flourishing. After Thadius, Cornelius Constans of Smyrna took power. Cornelius was succeeded by Honarius Theophilus of Constantinople. Honarius was succeeded by Etrogulius who helped lead a successful Byzantine Conquest of Hungary, after relations went downward like 1929 Wall Street.

Soon, the Turks faced a new enemy, the Mongols. At the Battle of Mohi, Bazan planned to beat the Mongols back, during the battle he had seemed like he was doing so. However, the Mongols charged back, Subutai, the Mongol Commander, took Bazan as prisoner.

General Lucius Syagrius and his armies came up and fought the Mongols and won, securing the Danube and Hungary for the Byzantine Empire.

When Honarius is assassinated, his eldest son, Solomon Turkophilos takes power. Solomon consolidated his power in Hungary and other places. He did do his own things.

This ends a description of my history.

And so, the Eastern Roman Empire and Turkish State is now in the 21st Century. How will things work out?
