In Osaka castle on the east coast of Honshu island General Toda plotted his next moves.

His spies were plentiful and the port of Osaka gave his spies the chance to send messages easily.

he felt this year could end General Miromuta's chances and make himself Shogun.

His wife Kaede brought some tea into the room where he was looking over maps and she poured him some.

Accepting the tea from his beloved he smiled slightly and took a break.

Western Kirisubo: General Miromuta Katsushiro's HQ

In a castle high on the hills overlooking Hiroshima, General Miromuta Katsushiro stood in a window overlooking the trade ports where foreigners came in great numbers to trade with the nation appeared as little shapes in the distance, he turned around to see a samurai officer standing in the doorway to his chambers, He bowed then spoke,

"General, report"

Katsushiro replyed to the man,

"Speak.." he said in a calm cool but deep voice..

"Our spys have been informed of their task, they are near Kobe..they will be moving in to Osaka to retreive information on when General Toda's forces will move and where they will strike just as you ordered"

The General strolled away from the window, he wore a black silk kimono with a red sash, in the sash was a very fine crafted Katana,

"Good, you are dismissed.."

The officer bowed and left the room not turning his back untill out the doorway. The task of the ninja was a very difficult one but they were will trained and extremly skilled in many differernt techniques.

Kobe Port near Osaka

the port was busling as kirisuban merchants were buying and selling. with the uncertainty of the civil war they were nervous and hoped whoever won the war would look favourably on them.

all this activity would give any spies plenty of cover but General Toda had his own spies in Kobe.

One of them was the courtesan Gyoko and his chief spy in the town. her tea house was the lucky carp and not even her mama san knew her secret..
