The Hidden Sanctuary

(OOC: Well, I made a nation, and here's what I was thinking for my first RP. A foreign power miscalculates/has malfunction/blind jumps into a remote system previously uncharted. They decide to investigate and find what looks like a primitive people living in a small town at the foot of a giant mountain. Looking around for a bit, they discover that hidden inside the mountain is an ancient sanctuary of sorts, which the rather conservative people don't want anyone to know about. Within the sanctuary is great knowledge and an awesome power. The explorers go home, bring back an army and invade. Meanwhile, word gets out about this thing and more people come to claim it for their own of fight to keep it away from the clutches of the greedy nations. Makes a pretty big war type thing, with an interesting storyline in my opinion, and to all you guys who are about to go "ZOMG!!!! JOO CANT HAVE AN UBERZ WEAPONZ!!!! THATS GODMODDING N00B!!! LOL LOL!!!!", in the end the big powerful artifact is destroyed and I get my entrance into the exciting world of nationstates future tech. Hope you join.)

"What are you doing here, old friend?"

The feeble voice accompagnied the feeble old man who limped slowly down the corridor. His shiny head was bald, but a large beard of grey sat on his face. An elegant robe of white cotton with blue embroidery around the edges adorned his body, and in his right hand a walking stick carved out of dark oak.

Nestor seemed as if he hadn't heard the voice, and continued to stare intently at the white waves that formed at the bottom of the waterfall. The high cliff, covered in vegetation and topped with pine trees, that sent the blue water crashing down into the pond so deep that it was said to be bottomless. The altar in the middle of the sanctuary, build of white marble, and all around marking the boundaries of the temple was a dense forest of green pine. The high cavern that afforded only a small hole that shed light onto the altar, but for some reason the entire area was lit dimly, as if the moon itself sat within the cave.

"Just praying, Marcus, just praying." the old druid said. He too was dressed in the white robe with blue embroidery around the edges, but had a kept head of snowy white hair, and only a small beard unlike his friend. He clasped his fellow on the shoulder as he arrived at his position.

"Still dream of them are we?"

"Yes. More and more I come here, I am able to boast reading the most texts from this grove, almost half of them sitting in that stone bookcase that sits above the cliff next to the upper pond. I wish to learn all I can before I go. I wish to know what force created the universe and left this shrine. This shrine that our people have been protecting since the creation of the cosmos, by the stars! I forget, we haven't been the guardians that long, but more or less. After the fabled spirits left their beautiful home to us."

Marcus grasped his friend by the arm, "Come, Nestor, the hour is late, and the council will be starting shortly. The other druids have already arrived, and I had the rotten luck of having to hobble up here to collect our head priest." he said with a smile.

Reciprocating the face, the old druids began their slow walk down the stone pathway towards the entrance of the cave.

(OOC: Actually no, I'm making it sort of a tool of "God" so to speak. Left behind by whatever created the galaxy, cause I'm saying it was some Gods or something just for fun and a background story for my people.)
