Kologkian Waterfront

Kologk

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, criminals and dictators, humans and anthros, to the beautiful country of Kologk. The government has been fighting itself for years now, so they don't pay much attention to us here on the waterfront.

My name is Jerome Hassleton, and I'd like to make you a veryspecial offer. For a nominal fee, you can have complete control over a waterfront warehouse, hotel, or office building. Whether your a terrorist organization looking for a base, a criminal syndicate looking for somewhere to stash your ill gotten gains, or a legitimate government doing some research that would best remain outside of the public eye, this is the best place for you!

But wait, there's more. Due to the complete nonexistence of customs check, and no law enforcement besides what you make for yourself, the Kologkian Waterfront is home of a burgeoning black market. Anything and everything is for sale here, from the services of a 'professional masseuse' to nuclear weaponry. Just tell us what you're looking for, and we'll see what we can do.

Well, Griffencrest, we just happen to have those warehouses avalaible. That will come to a total of 1 million US dollars for all ten. We have shipped the keys to the warehouses, and are awaiting payment.

To the Griffincrest Corporation:

Not at all! We welcome any entrepreneurship in our neighborhood. I look forward to working with you.

To Kanami:

We would appreciate some additional information, so that we can ensure your complete satisfaction. Are these houses for dwelling? How many people per house? Etc.
Kanami
03-07-2006, 22:00
We will likely use them mostly for storage, and on occasion make-shift housing units for troops. Enough to fit a platoon, and massive stock piles.

We wish to know whether there is an airstrip close to the waterfront capable of taking heavy transport aircraft.
Kologk
03-07-2006, 22:30
To Mercosis:

Currently there are two airstips operating near the waterfront. Metholia Field is capable of landing most fighter and bomber planes. Theia Field is capable of landing almost all cargo and transport planes. Both of these fields are free to fly into and out of, with the exception of a nominal fee if the plane is to remain there overnight.

To Neo-Erusa: All necessary citizens have been evacuated. They have been replaced, free of charge, by several political prisoners delivered to us by the Kologkian government (well, one of them anyways) so that you may also gauge your bombs' effect on flesh and blood.

Indeed, I just got a request for another warehouse, again preferrebly hidden. NEMI will test fire an experimental particle cannon onto it. The weapon is highly accurate, as tests within our own borders have shown. It might frighten the neighbors though.

Please, if you can, supply any more prisoners into the latter warehouse. Our scientists say that the Partcile Cannon's electrons will electrecute the bodies and instantly vaporise them, but this is in theory. It would be nice to know what would really happen. And of course, this is confidential, right?

The USSE wishes to purchase two warehouses that must have the following properties:
1. Have substantial above-ground storage capacity
2. Have substantial below-ground storage capacity
3. Be able to withstand a 30-sec EMP Direct Attack
4. Be secluded, or in a warehouse district that is not in use
5. Be connected to one another, as well as the shore, by a series of tunnels, and 2 Two-way monorails below ground.

We will be happy to pay any amount for these buildings, as long as it is reasonble.

Th nation of hyst, has recently been pooling it's resources into the developement of new sodium-based nuclear reactors. While we are nearing completion, one main test need to be preformed. In order to best understand how to prevent a core breach of our current reactors, we wish to manually overload and creat a core breach. This process, designed to create a meltdown, would be utalized to better prepare for the final implmantation of an improved working device.

While Hyst has plenty of minor islands with few inhabitants we could use, if the test was run with your permission on your soil, the domestic political reprocussion would be minimal.

To come to a mutually beneficial arangement. The nation of Hyst is prepared to offer 1.2T USD in "international aide" and the use of one of these reactors ([MT with actual RL potential] they can run on one fuel load for upwards of 1200-1300 years, effectively infinate energy) for what ever reason in exchange for the use of your land. The location chosen has no qualms, the hyst military is more than equiped to deal with any interfearence. If, for example, a test on the effects of radioactive sodium on a political disident's body as compared to traditional radaition poisoning could be conducted.

Do we have an accord?

Your warehouses should be ready in approximately a month, due to the need to lay monorail tracks in the pre-existing tunnels, as well as install EMP defences. That comes to a total of 1.5 million USDs.

To Hyst

It just so happens that my business maintains a number of islands, precisely for situations such as these. In fact, one of them already contains the beginning of a nuclear facility, whose construction was aborted due to the civil war. Your offer of 1.2 Trillion is accepted, and you will find the political prisoners there upon arrival.

Soon F-4 Phantoms painted in Corporate (black with white and red stripes) colours were flying over the Kologkian Waterfront. An-72 'Coaler' transports began descending at an alarming rate and leaving just as quickly with fuel trucks running back and forth.

The crates were torn open and SAM installations became obvious. An electric fence was put up with checkpoints at entrances with heavy MG turrets, dogs, and armed guards.

A black and white flag, with a hammer, a sickle and a skull began flying over the area. A nightclub opened across the street called the 'Hammered and Sickled' and soon began attracting some mean elements.

Hey there, all prospective buyers, I'd like to announce a couple new features. Here they are!

Factories-

The government (well, two or three governments, actually, but don't you worry your heads about that) have just pulled out of a heavily industrialized town called Kiati. Most fighting was carried out by infantry men, the result being that most of the infrastructure is still intact.

And so we have a special offer. Currently there are one hundred seperate factories, all designed to produce munitions of any sort you can imagine. For the low low price of 750,000 USD, one of these factories can be yours!

'Why?' you ask, 'Do I need to buy a factory from you, when I can just build one in my own country?'

Well, it's simple. You can use these factories to produce the kind of munition that the people in your home country are a little squeamish about. Poison gas? Nuclear weaponry? Angry cyborg weasels? You name it. In addition, there a quite a number of skilled factory workers who are currently unemployed due to governments pulling out.

Particle Cannon-

We've recently come into posession of a particle cannon. Do you have a pesky business rival? Perhaps there's an armored column marching on your capital? Need to damage some infrastructure without leaving a trail? Then this is just the thing for you.

Here's a brief rundown by the party from whom we obtained this particle cannon.

It's powered by a large bank of nuclear batteries, and reflects off of a sattelite in the upper atmosphere. The beam is about six feet in diameter, and apart from the heat shimmer, is completely invisible. Upon contact with matter, it destroys the bonds that hold the atoms together, and effectively melts it. We haven't tried it on organic life yet, but we believe that it will evaporate all the water from the being and melt the flesh. Very effective against all types of infantry and tanks, and especially warships. The only real weak link is the sattelite, which can be shot down.

Price will be determined by the target to be destroyed, and the risk inherent. (We reserve the right to refuse any contract because of heavy anti satellite defenses)
