{Christendom, The Republic}

"Madam Minister, I feel that we should take this message from the Khailfah al Muslimeen," said Alfred Rednight, Minister of Foreign Affairs, "We have long sought an alliance with them, a chance to show the world the continued solidification of religious states. I believe it is time the Realm of Islam and the Realm of Christianity unite."

Riyabuo sat carefully thinking--she was still wounded from the attempted assassination on her, and in fact she had only been let out of the hospital due to the secrecy of this meeting. An alliance with the Khailfah would certainly be a major political and religious coup in Jagada. A nation long since having a horrid reputation for its dealings with Moslems signing an alliance with the most powerful Moslem country in the World would certainly bolster Jagada's new image of tolerance. Though something still made her hesitate.

"This situation in New Albion, I don't want a similar situation occurring in the southeastern region. If they hear we are allies with the Khailfah, the Moslems in the region may believe it is a free ticket to succeed and join them," replied Riyabuo bitterly.

Rednight sighed and nodded--it was indeed true and the Khailfah wasn't well known in Jagada or by the 'Eye', or better know as the Jagite Intelligence Agency, so their reaction to such a thing would be rather open and no prediction could be put upon it--save for the New Albion crisis. Rednight suddenly brightened up, "Madam Minister, right now that whole situation is close to the boiling point. What if we intervened, politically, say we tried to get in the conference to show the Muslimeen that we do desire and alliance and a strong one. Should the southeastern region try to break free, then I believe the Khailfah would hesitate to annex the region should it call for it."

Riyabuo nodded, "I suppose. Very well, the message did state that we should meet at a time of our leisure?"

"Yes madam," replied Rednight.

Riyabuo looked over herself as a gesture, "As you can tell, I'm in no condition for travel. Next in line is you."

Rednight nodded, "Yes madam, I can handle the situation."

Riyabuo began to stroll away in her wheelchair, "Very well Minister Rednight. I shall inform the Sultan you are coming. Be on your best manners, too."

With that it was only a matter of hours before Alfred Rednight boarded the jet aircraft 'Red Dragon' and began departure to the Khailfah al Muslimeen. His mission was simple--unite the Crescent and the Cross.

At Istanbul International Airport

When Jagada plane landed, it was welcome by the Imperial Black Guard. The Guardsmen were dress in their jet black uniforms and stood attention.

Also welcoming Minster Rednight, was Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasa Sokollu (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/Ottoman01/7bcc8e31.jpg) , the second most powerful man in KLM. He was assigned to meet the Minister from Jagada and discuss certain matters of trade and alliance, since the Sultan at the moment had his hands full with New Albion incident.

Istanbul International Airport

Alfred Rednight ran his fingers threw his dark red hair as he rose up from the seat of the plane--they had arrived. He made his way to the open door--though first to come out were the armed security guards in white trenchcoats. They ensured they made no hostile motions while coming down, as soon as they came down and stood next to the stairs, Rednight appeared from the plane and made his way down the stairs and walked up to Grand Vizier Mehemd Pasa Sokollu and extended his hand while slightly bowing.

"Good to meet you sir, I am Foreign Minister Alfred Rednight," he stated.

The Grand Vizier smiled and shook the Foreign Minister hand, and said in English. “ It’s a pleasure to meet, you, sir. How was your flight and etc.”

Then after exchanging greetings, the Grand Vizier lead the Foreign Minister to a waiting Limo and took him on a brief tour of major sights of Istanbul, then their tour finally came to a end when they reached the Foreign Affairs Ministry/Department Building, it was where the Foreign Minister and the Grand Vizier were going to have their meeting, one of the many conference rooms of the building. After they were finally settled in the conference room, the Grand Vizier asked the Foreign Minister

“So, what exactly beings you here sir?”

Rednight gave a puzzled look at the Grand Vizier, "I believe we recieved a contact from your Sultan in regards to increasing relations. The Republic decided to send me."

He did not allow the conversation to expand upon that foundation--he simply wanted to ensure that it was the Ottomans who called upon the Jagites. "What does bring me here, Grand Vizier, is the fact that this world is becoming increasing secular, athiestic, too many New Age cults springing up and declaring religions, such as Islam and Christianity, which I remind you both have existed for hundreds of years--as false. To my understanding, yourselves are the foremost Islamic State in the world, Jagada is your Christian counterpart--though we do not declare Christianity the only State Religion. My point here is to unite two banners which have for centuries been torn apart by conflict, war, and intolernace. To in essence, unite the Cross and the Crecent."

The Grand Vizier listens to the Foreign Minister, The Grand Vizier knew well enough why he is was for, but he wanted to see if he had another reasons for the meeting and replied

“I see, to united the cross and crescent would indeed a powerful sign to the other nations of the worlds…Christians and Muslims fighting side by sides as friends. Such interesting sight indeed…but what kind of alliance, we want for over selves….since their so many different types of alliances ranging from Defense pacts to blood pacts and etcs.. that is the question at the moment, sir..” said the Grand Vizier

Rednight nodded, "That would all really depend upon yourself, sir. The Monotheistic Republic is eager for an alliance with the Ottoman Khaliaf for various reasons. None the least, your booming economy. I do not mean to be offense in that regard, sir, to seem like we align with you purely for economic benefit--but even you would have to admit, that a rapidly modernizing nation like the Republic would need economic support in the form of trade and prehaps a reduction in tariffs with the Ottoman Khaliaf to maintain our every so high growth rate of eight percent.

On top of that, we can offer more. I am not sure if you are aware that Jagada use to be a Kraven Slave State until we rebelled and almost exterminated completely. When we fled our homeland, we managed to take most of our military documents with us--so you can rest assure our military and our defense industries are up to date, its the rest of the country that needs assistance. Thus you can rest assured that a defensive pact, should you be willing to agree to it, can be maintained by the Monotheistic Republic."

Taking a moment to breath, Rednight continued, "There is also one request which I came here to ask, and it is indeed bold and almost insulting you considering your current situtation in New Albion. So unless I get your apporval to continue, I will leave that request out."

The Grand Vizier arch his eye brow and said” Go ahead, say this request…..you have my interest…”

Rednight sighed internally, not wanting his external posture of a gentlemen to be tainted with signs of nervouness. "The Republic would like to make a humble request. It is an idea we have recieved from others nations, it is called the policy of 'City-States'. In essence, what the Republic would like to do would be to purchase a port city, or a city of a certain size--of your choosing for the purposes of economic benefit for the Monotheistic Republic.

I request this not to gain land from you, not to try to expand our influence into your rightful sphere, not to try to make some political or diplomatic gain. This is purely economic. Something I am sure your Sultan can see. Though I am not blind to the political problems you may have from this. If you are seen selling land, particuarly a city from the Republic, the Oceanians may request, or outright demand, the same thing from you in New Albion. Though this city would be one of many the Republic hopes to gain when possible, for purely economic reasons. Of coarse since this city would probably be a port of some kind, it would also allow the Grand Navy to dock ships there of coarse--though only to protect the docks of this said City-State.

This is, however, something I know is sensitive and almost insulting to your country which right now faces the crisis of Oceania trying to steal land from you. Though I only ask that you consider under its true purpose--to help the Monotheistic Republic's economy."

The Grand Vizier was in deep thought for moment and reply “ We support the idea of free trade, the idea of defensive pacts…But for the idea of an “City-state”. We can’t agree to such a thing..I understand what you intend for it…..it’s completely goes against the Stand policy related to this matter…I am sorry to say, we can’t agree to that..yet however…we are willing to allow your nation to have a number of naval, air, and army bases as sign of good will between our states.”

Rednight nodded, "I fully understand. Military bases may be of some military benefit to the Republic, I shall have to consult with the Staff of the Armed Forces before I give you any concrete placement of those bases. A free trade agreement would be of great benefit to the Republic, as well.

There is also another issue we have been meaning to discuss. That would be New Albion. I must know what the current situtation is regarding that entire ordeal, if you don't mind sir."

The Grand Vizier sum up what happen so far and end it with “ We are still waiting for the bloody summit to start in Portland,Sazornia….whenever that’s going to happen…. The world doesn’t know how hard we’re trying to hold back, since we’re going to be allies, you can know this….if wasn’t for…the Sultan ability to listen to reason and the fact that region is backwater..” The Grand Viziers lean close and said “ If it wasn’t for that…sir…we would have burn them to the ground….I kid you not…we would have burn them to glass….yet this time, they luck out…learn one thing about the KLM….cross us once…we’ll burn for it….somehow….sometime in the future…we will get back to you…Oceania may have its day today…but in time..we’ll get payback..note this, my friend.”

Rednight nodded, "I am afarid that you may be caught up in a game that you are not aware of. While I have no proof, and while I would never ask you base your foriegn policy off this," he then leaned forward, "I am afarid you may be the fool in this game, no offense intended. If you look at the powers involved: Sarzonia, Pacitalia, Hamptonshire, Oceania, and others. Sarzonia viciously refused to allow Pacitalia to become involved in this entire ordeal. Sarzonia has an obvious grudge against Hamptonshire, and I believe Oceania also has rather soar relations with them. I fear you may be nothing more than the victim of some horrible political war these four are going threw."

Rednight leaned back, "That is, however, my uneducated opinion. I just find it odd that Sarzonia would get involved in such a...religious...ordeal--with their own domestic policies likely to be attacked by the people of even allied religious states. Though, I would like you to know, that while the Republic has little in the way of political influence. We hope to do what we can. If your Sultan would like, Jagada could become apart of the conference to ensure that you have a true ally on your side. As I fear the other three would be willing to sacrifice you for their own malice-filled agendas. Jagada, does not and cannot have an agenda against the Khaliaf."

“Yes, we are aware of the current situations between Sarzonia, Hamptonshire, Oceania and Pacitalia….trust me…we know well enough to not become mere pawns in their game of chess..we known that this summit is going to be not neutral…and its just going to be an all out fight in that summit, we believe is no need such a summit…we’re already dealing with Oceanias….thought more private means to send this mess once and for all…we’re cutting out the middle men so to speak, we thank you for your offer to sit with us in the summit, and if there is a summit, we welcome your support…” reply the Grand Vizier

Rednight nodded approvingly, "I did not take you as fools, neither did the Republic. We simply wished to pass along to you what we suspected on the situtation.

I would also like to let you know that currently, my government is working on the end of the oppression of the Moslem population in the Republic. We may have found a way to oust the tyrants in the region. I admit, we were reluctant in the past if only because we didn't not want to spark another civil war. Though recently evidence and some political issues may have ensured no civil war errupts and that we can topple them quite easily."

The Grand Vizier nodded and replies “ My governments wishes your nation the best of luck on restoring order to that region. We may be the protectors of Muslims world over…yet we don’t want to interfere in other nations business, since that is our policy on such matter….but there are some exceptions to the rule, in cases the Muslims are being killed in large numbers and call for us for their help…but that’s a very rare case most of the time.”

Rednight nodded again, "A similar thing might occur in the southeastern region. Once Moslems hear of our alliance they will think that you, the foremost Islamic State in the World. Would try to annex them to get them out of oppression. I say that because I doubt they so easily accept Jagite rule again. Does the Republic have the assurance of your Federation that you will hold back from such a thing?"

Rednight waited for a reply then continued, "There is another matter at hand I'd like to discuss. Recently, Jenrak forged an alliance known as SWORD: Soverign World of Religious Domains. This is an alliance that is tolerant to atheism and the like--but will do all in its power to ensure the world respects freedom of religion and the like. Do you believe your Federation would be interested?"

"We have no interest in taking this rebel region from your nation, rest assure that the KLM will not come and annex this rebel region....we are not like Oceania, and as for joining this allaince bloc...the Imperium has no interest in joining allaince blocs, we thank you for the offer, but we must decline the offer." replied the Grand Vizier
