Enterprise is currently the primary exploration ship, used to establish first contact with alien races, and to catalogue new star systems, spatial phenomena and life forms.

NX-02 Columbia

Columbia is used to ferry more experienced diplomatic teams when the skills of the crew of Enterprise aren't enough to establish satisfactory relations with a newly discovered race. Columbia is commanded by a Commodore to ensure that the negotiating officer has the authority to make promises that a captain cannot.

NX-03 Montgomery

Montgomery is the ship that Earth Starfleet never wants to use fully. Montgomery was based on the NX-01 frame, with improvements to the weaponry, hull plating and speed at the expense of sceintific sensor capabilities and less comfortable accomodations for the crew. Montgomery is the ship that the others call on when things go sour. Equipped withthree arrays of pulsed phase cannons and an extra torpedo tube, Montgomery has far more firepower than the other ships. Also carried is an extra two detatchment of MACO commandos, for boarding actions and defense.

Shuttle Pods

The current shuttle pod is not warp capable, and sacrifices room for two extra passengers in favour of space for four spatial torpedoes and high-power hull polarisation. They can carry four people, but can be stripped down to carry six.
