The meeting of board of seventeen investors convened in secret, in a back room of the Dublin office of the Caribbean Corporation. Sixteen of them sat around an elongated conference table, while one of them, the Chairman of the Corporation stood aside a screen on the wall onto which a map of the Caribbean Islands was projected.
Reaching, with his left hand, into the pants pocket of his three-piece suit, he produced a small remote. Pointing, with a metal rod in his right hand, to the island of Guadelope, and glancing around the room at sixteen of the richest men in the world, he announced
“Gentlemen, I am proud to inform you that the last three years have paid off. Through our careful planning and your contributions to our cause, we have finally purchased the entirety of Guadelope,”
Moving his pointer slowly down, he continued “We have also acquired the isles of Marie Galante and Martinique. Furthermore, we have infiltrated the government of Dominica and in several days, we shall have it under our possession.”
The sixteen other men nodded in happiness at the fruits of their cunning, as the Chairman of the Carribean Corporation detailed a plan that would gain control of Grenada, Tobago, Tortuga, and countless other small islands in the Gulf of Mexico.
