OOC: The First Exodus (PMT/FT)

Many nations refer to a period in history where they left Sol system due to some cataclysmic event. Apparently, some future tech nations have lost their previous history. I am interested in what might have caused the first major exodus from Sol system. A war, a cataclysmic event that threw sol into a brief dark age, etc.

In order for the exodus to work, there would have to be interstellar flight. Not all the future tech nations would have access to it. I am guessing that some of the nations would have had to seize the means of interstellar fligth during a war, political, pirate, or even terrorist action to escape something horrific in sol system which led to the first exodus.

Hate to ask, but what exactly is Sol system? The Solar System?

Sol is the name of Earth's suns by most accounts.

Sol is very populated actually. Its filled with the old empires, and earth has...uhh alot of nations. NS earth is much larger. My nation hails from mars, literally.

There was really no first exodus, each exodus has really been that people write it that way. Or many humans in NS are actually from splinter colonies or the like.

Anyways yeah there was no real first exodus, in fact my nation is building its own interstellar empire at the moment, through rp of course but thats a story of an exodus. The reasons for leaving? Whatever you want.

And as for something horrific. A bunch of humongous powerful nations, all locked in a massive cold war for 3 rl, and 800 NS odd years.

There are of course variants. But the standard pattern I see so far is:

1) Mars revolts and gets its freedom.

2) The asteroid fields revolt and get their freedom.

3) Terra-- Earth gets very angry. Corporations get very angry because they are invested in mars and the asteroid fields. The moon is still in Terran hands under military law.

What happens after this? There are no consequences. I would think big time cataclysmic war and a nice exodus to out system. Just the concept of a free mars and free belters would create enough problems by themselves.

A) Whichever nations supported Mars on earth gets crushed or is in all out war.
B) Whichever nations supported Belters (asteroid fields) on earth is in all out war.

Lots of people fleeing earth, lots of people fleeing the moon. There might be several outsystem colonies dealing with refugee flow or choosing alliances.
