OOC: my nation has four different “nations” in it. While they may fight each other, and have vastly different militaries they will also unify against a common enemy. Anyway so here is the four corners military as I have it set….oh and also note that the costs of the combat units is much less then MT is(i use nothing better then WW2 stuff and pricing is based on what the pricing of the units was with Inflation added) thus why i can pay for such a large force.

well, my nation is rich and bigger then the US after WW2, as well i have a large military budget. this allows the majority of the ships to exist. 100 of the Carriers are based on the Hermes(small craft converted into a Carrier in 1913, and can carry 3 planes, very cheap) 20 of the Carriers are escort carriers and based on the price based on the real pruce at todays inflation costs i can pay for them...

i have 315 Destroyers not 415

erm wtf how the heck can you afford all this with only $263 billion rounded up as your defense budget?

well...each aircraft costs 500K or less(save WW2 Bombers they are no more then 6.4 million) the most expensive ship is an Essex and it costs 1.6 Billion(next most being a Yamato class Battleship at about 600 million). the majority of my Artillery and Navy are from WW1 and or older as well as just about everything else...it takes my entire military budget to get all this stuff ordered and made on year, the build up over time would allow me to pay for it

in short, old stuff cost less

First you research, and develop and RP and RP and RP with your nation, then the military gets stronger, more believable and the like. But if you want to use WW II junk thats ok, just remember everyone will call your stuff cardboard.

i don't remember anyone ever saying anything about how my military cant be the way it is currently set without research, and development and RPing with it....

my nations military is supposed to be somewhat crappy in it units, it adds to my fun

The only problem with using WW2 technologies, is that it is equally as cheap for me to attack you with a Armour Division of T-55AM2s and a few Motor-Rifle Divisions of men armed with AKM rifles, PK GPMGs, and RPD LMGs, as well as that nifty little RPG-7V and the SVD Dragunov, and yet have an overwhelming technological advantage.

There are some problems. If these nations war amongst themselves, and yet one of them appears to be armed with circa 1800s weapons, Brown Bess muskets and that... and there are others with say, the M1 Garand, which I think I've seen, then the guys with the Brown Bess are *fucked.* Do you happen to know why soldiers were trained to line up and volley-fire? So they would have a decent chance of putting steel on target at 50 meters.

Bunch of guys in a skirmish line from 100 meters will be effective with their MP-40 submachineguns and M1 Garand rifles, and rape those men over repeatedly.

I would honestly suggest switching up to at least 1950-1960 technology if you intend to RP outside your own little universe. I can see an RP where you go: "I take the First Corner, I need three guys to take the other corners, let's do this thing, here's your ORBATs and TO&Es," but other than that, the technological differences will just result in a horrible, horrible raping.

That said, it would be very interesting to see done well, as victory is not completely assured for the attacking force. All depends on your RP'ing skill, I guess.

i have the tech as i want it, and yes i know the Second Corner would get its ars kicked in a war with the Third or Fourth...Brown Bess was more like 100 meters if i remember correctly

You weren't around for them then. I was only around at the end, and I never fought, but they were a series of large scale conflicts fought against an insane corporation. Anyway, you noticed them even if you didn't participate.


Edit: If you joined in May, then you were probably not around for the conflict. I didn't fight because A: Country wasn't big enough B. Too much trouble with a war I was fighting against Chitzeland (and getting my ass handed to me by Emperor Pudu) and C: All the threads were closed :(

yeah i said i would accept that. and who ever said i don't like aid was wrong. you see the way i have my nation set, if you give me an F-15 for my own use i won't use it, or if someone wants to turn me into a Protectorat my nation doesn't take kindly to that. however if you send your own forces and keep your stuff seperated from my own/leave when the fightings done, then i will accept the aid.
