Terren Planets

It was dark in the jungle. There was no moon orbiting this world to light up the night. They moved silently, not disturbing any leaves as the five approached the installation. They were dressed in black, skintight combat suits, with full helmets covering their heads. A distant light from the building let them see. The point man stopped and raised a hand. The others froze in their tracks. The point man raised two fingers and pointed to the right, as two of the men seemed to disappear into the night. After two minutes, the three remaining men moved forward to join they comrades, as the two hid the bodies of two Klingon guards in the bushes. Few men alive could sneek up on an alert Klingon guard, much less kill him without a sound. The five then moved into the base...

Ten minutes later, they returned back to the jungle, their mission complete. As they approached the beam-out position, a bright flash made them turn arround and watch as Klingon Sensor Outpost 6 exploded in a massive fireball. The team leader watched as the surrvivors ran around, trying to restore order. But he knew that withour the backup comm center that Team 2 quietly nutralized, they would get no help from the Empire today. He kept watching untill he and his fellow Spartans were beamed away from the firery jungle...

Pagh sat in his command chair. He was old, dammit. Why was he still out here, and not on the Homeworld? Then, one of his crew interupted his thoughts. "Commander, we have not recieved our update from Outpost 6," the warrior "Ba," grunted Pagh. "They are drunk. Wait a few hours." "That is what I did," said the warrior. "They have been silent for 8 hours already. I suggest we investigate." I will have to watch this one. He has the potential to take command from me, thought Pagh. "Very well, inform the Empire then take us to that Outpost," he ordered. Perhaps I can die in battle after all...

A small contingent of ships floated in the dark between near-by star systems while under their cloaks. Based upon the unit recovered from the Remen's first Scimitar class warbird at the start of the Romulan Star Empire's Civil War between the U.E.P. backed Romulans and the Alliance backed Remens, there was no known sensor that could breach the cloaking field that allowed the Imperial ships to fire while cloaked.

These ships were out here investigating rumors of Klingons native to this reality. There was one thing that Imperial armed forces would go out of their way to eliminate, and that was any possibility of the Alliance's Klingons joining up with those from this reality.

Thus, their passive sensor sweeps picked up the explosions from the destruction of the Klingon outpost. A trio of Defiant class (http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b91/SeaQuest_Sim/Schematics/Jarvon/escortcruiser_defiant2.jpg) escort cruisers, four Steamrunner class (http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b91/SeaQuest_Sim/Schematics/Jarvon/escortcruiser_steamrunner.jpg) escort cruisers, and a pair of Prometheus class (http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b91/SeaQuest_Sim/Schematics/Jarvon/tacticalcruiser_prometheus.jpg) tactical cruisers had been sent at high warp speeds towards the planet to investigate.

They would emerge from warp speeds, while still cloaked, above the star system's ecliptic plain and would descend at 0.25c, standard impulse cruising speed, towards the planet in question for a closer look.

OOC: Just so you know, my nation is set around 27th century era and is based on the Star Trek Mirror Universe but with a few twists to give it its own timeline.

The single battlecruiser dropped from warp and began to orbit the planet that once featured Outpost 6. Pagh leaned forward in his command chair. "Full scan," he ordered. "What is the station's condition?" "Sir, it's gone!" shouted the warrior at the sensor station. "I'm only detecting debris! Only 3 survivors are left out of 16!" "Transport them aboard at once!" commanded Pagh. "I want to know what happened here, NOW!"

After beaming up the Spartans, the stealth destroyer C.S.S. Cole left its position above the planet's north pole and jumped to warp. The ship had remained hidden by using the planet's magnetic field to disrupt sensor scans. Now, its mission complete, it began the return journey home...

"Commander! A Terren ship has just left the system!" shouted a warrior. "Pursuit course!" ordered Pagh. "They shall not escape after commiting such an honorless act against the Empire!" The K'T inga-class battlecruiser then began to chase after the Terren, though at a slower pace...

The small contingent of Imperial ships dropped to sub-light on the opposite side of the planet from the Klingon battlecruiser (OOC: D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7, K'T'Inga class, or something else?). There stealthed warp drives had allowed them to approach undetected and there cloaks (OOC: Nemesis era Scimtar style) allowed them to avoid detection from the sensers of the Kligon craft on the other side of the planet.

I.S.S. Pride Of Valhalla - Prometheus class - Main Bridge

"Sir, detecting a Klingon vessel on the other side of the planet."

"What kind is it?"

"Checking.....its a battlecruiser, but an old design, sir. The design dates back to the pre-Alliance Klingon Empire in the days of the old Terran Empire, but I can't tell from here without going active and give our position away if it has modern technology or not."

"Plot intercept course and engage when ready."

"Aye, sir."

Exterior

The cloaked ships began to swing around the planet towards the Klingon ship.

Pagh slumped in his chair. This old K'T'Inga is just too slow, he thought. They were losing the Terren, and the engineer was complaining that the warp engines were overworked. If he didn't give up the chase, he risked damage to his ship. "Bah," he said. "We cannot catch the Terren dogs as they run like cowards. Contact the Homeworld. Tell them to send faster ships." The battlecruiser then slowed to impulse power to let the engines cool down...

OOC: Ahh, so you're around later 23rd-early 24th century era, correct? One of the so called "Lost Years" periods.

EDIT: @Terren Planets: Correction. I've been going through your list. Looks to me like you've got a range of ships going from TOS era to post-Nemesis era.

IC: I.S.S. Pride Of Valhalla - Bridge

"Sir, the K'T'Inga has jumped to warp in pursuit of another class."

"Order the other ships to remain here in orbit of this world and put us on an new pursuit and intercept course."

"Aye, sir. Transmitting orders to other ships.....sir, they want to know who's being left in charge."

"If they have to ask, then they don't need to know."

"Aye sir."

"Course plotted and laid in, sir."

"Good. Take us to warp seven. Engage!"

Exterior

The Pride Of Valhalla banked away from the other Imperial ships still on their original course, which was no modified to orbit the planet, and shot off into warp speeds. Of course, as they were all still cloaked, nobody would have noticed.

The Prometheus class, while a centuries old design, was still deadly in the right hands. As such, many of the ships in mothballs, about one-hundred in total, had been brought out and refit to modern standards and put into two fleets of fifty archaeic(sp?) ships each. They would remain in service until the classes designed to replace them were finished and they were put back into mothballs.

Even with the ship's age, the Pride Of Valhalla soon caught up with and passed the Klingon ship. Dropping a stealthed buoy and firing off a stealthed encrypted transmission back to the planet where the other Imperial ship's sat, she continued after the ship the Klingons had been chasing.

Meanwhile...

Picking up the tranmission from the Pride Of Valhalla, a quick vote was held on the remaining ships. One of the Steamrunners, the Pride And Prejudice, peeled off and leaped to warp heading for the location of the buoy, and the Klingon ship.

ooc: My fleet is made up of my favorite ships from the Federation. I started with TOS when I created my nation, and am upgrading the fleet as my nation gets bigger. If you notice, the older classes are slowly being replaced by newer ships. And the most asvanced ships I have are from TNG and VOYAGER. I haven't gone to NEMESIS yet. after this post I'm going to bed. gotta get sleep before work tomorrow night.

IC:

The Cole, a Centaur-class (http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h52/nx9100/centaur.jpg) destroyer, continued at warp, then suddenly dropped to impulse and, following a course change, resumed warp speed. The ship had been modified for stealth opperations, and featured a new warp core with low detectable energy emmisions, plus a warp field masking system. While a cloak would have been better, one was not available for installation. Not realizing they were being followed, the crew were finally on course for Starbase 15 under a communications blackout...

OOC: According to my info, the pic you have for your Apollo class hails from around the Nemesis era (IIRC, the Apollo class was a Phase II era (the unreleased second series that became the first movie) and that pic is of a far more advanced ship (note, Voyager era happened during DS9 era which was also in the TNG era, so all three intertwine (the purple deflector dish alone is a dead give away its an image of a Nemesis to post-Nemesis era design))).

IC: I.S.S. Pride And Prejudice - Exterior

The cloaked Steamrunner dropped to sublight near the stealthed buoy. A quick use of minimal emission transporters recovered the unit and the Pride And Prejudice closed to around five light seconds from the Klingon ship.

I.S.S. Pride Of Valhalla - Bridge

"The apparently think that simply by dropping out of warp before returning to warp on a new heading would shake any pursuit."

The Prometheus had lowered her speed and altered her position to pretty much use the energy effiecent method of using the warp wake from the Cole to further mask her warp signature and to benefit from freshly pre-used subspace, which allowed her engine effeciency to increase exponentially.

OOC: The warp wake thing is a little something I figured out during my research.

Oh, and sorry about that. I was helping a friend fix his nation's log-in problem.

"Commander! The engines are ready!" "Good," said Pagh. "Set course for the homeworld, cruise speed. Have they sent any ships?" "A fleet has been dispatched," replied the warrior. "Good. They will retaliate against the Terren animals." said Pagh. "Set an intercept course for the fleet!" The ship then jumped to warp factor 4...

The Terren scout ship C.S.S. Ms. Harris, an Oberth-class (http://www.strekschematics.utvinternet.com/shipgallery/shipgallery3/oberth.jpg) vessel was monitoring the outpost, when it suddenly exploded. The commander of the Ms. Harris, unaware of the Spartan's classified mission, then reported back to Terren Command. The reply was to remain at the edge of the system to monitor the Klingon's response

The Pride And Prejudice jumped to Warp 3.9999999 on a pursuit course. While some of the Bridge officers wanted to destroy the Klingon ship and get it over with, the Captain knew that if they continued to follow it, they would be led straight to the 'main course', so to speak.

The Terren scout ship C.S.S. Ms. Harris, an Oberth-class (http://www.strekschematics.utvinternet.com/shipgallery/shipgallery3/oberth.jpg) vessel was monitoring the outpost, when it suddenly exploded. The remaining Imperial craft noted the comms traffic and, with a few quick stealth burst transmissions, had regrouped around the C.S.S. Ms. Harris. When the time was right, the plan was to decloak and have a little fun making the Oberth's crew soil themselves. Of course, that would have to wait until the Pride Of Valhalla had sent the signal saying they had arrived at their 'final' destination.

After a five hour trip at maximum warp, the Cole arrived at StarBase 15 (http://www.lcarscom.net/fsd/starbase/images/up-1.jpg), home of the 5th Fleet. At the moment, only seven ships, including the Cole, were present: 2 Miranda-class cruisers, 1 Apollo-class cruiser, 2 new Freedom-class destroyers, and the old Dreadnought-class battleship C.S.S. Tsesarevich, fleet flagship. The Cole aproached the station and Sent a coded message to the Fleet Comander, <Mission Accomplished> .

The Prometheus class Pride Of Valhalla dropped out of warp mere moments after the Cole. Heading foward at one-quarter impulse power, she entered a tight orbit around the station while her command crew adjurned to the conference room to debate their next course of action.

Finally, Pagh's ship joined with the Battle Fleet. Of course, by this time, the cloaked Steamrunner class Pride And Prejudice had inserted herself into an empty void inside the formation. An opportune striking point once the word was given.

Meanwhile...

The main group of ships that the investigory scout fleet led by the Pride Of Valhalla was no heading towards Starbase 15 while under cloak at a speed of Warp 6.75973. A fleet of fifty ships, old designs by modern U.E.P. standards, this group of Imperial craft, was one of the two comprised of ships that were vastly out-matched by modern Imperial ships, yet could still hold their own against anything the Alliance threw at them. The commander of the lead ship, an Excalibur, the I.S.S. Darkness Before The Fall, had taken interest in the prescense(sp?) of a group that used ships nearly identical to some in Empire's design banks. So, the fleet had been ordered to join up with the Pride Of Valhalla.

"Admiral, incoming Klingon ships! Heading 224.31!"
"Red Alert! All ships are hearby ordered to defenseive position around the station!" ordered Admiral Cook aboard the Tsesarevich. "Contact command. We need reinforcements. And call in the rest of the fleet."
"Yes sir."
"All decks report battle stations!"

The Terren fleet spread out in a defensive formation around the starbase...

The first hint that all is not well is the subtle ripple of the starfield, the tiny flickering of stars where none should falter that hints at the arrival of something which should not exist. Colors beyond normal human experience writhe and claw at space/time itself as the ships within the Webway make themselves manifest, terrible blue and azure hues that cling to the sleek lines of a dozen and a half cruisers and their support ships like water dripping from the hulls of terrestrial vessels.

The Dark Eldar captain aboard the lead cruiser, the Ordo Decimus vessel Razor Grin peers out at the arrayed enemy forces. He glances at the slave chained to the communications terminal, and the slave flinches. It, for it has been stripped of any sexuality or sign of gender, flinches from the hateful gaze of its Keigh master. Yet, it serves its purpose, terrified of retribution for failure, hailing the gathered Mon-keigh ships at the behest of its master.

"We have sensed the potential of the Terrens. The Ordo Decimus has come to claim for itself the best and brightest. If you wish to preserve yourselves, you will not resist our will."

Several more ripples ripple in the black sea of space not far from where similar rippling ripples had been; distorting and contorting the ancient photons of stars just as ancient into a vortex of azure and periless black, that solidifies into an expansive metal body, sleek as it was foreboding. Turquoise wisps of shattered realities caress her being, departing just as soon as they embrace the great cannons that run along the length of the ship, rotating slowly; menacingly.

"Razor Grin, this is Eramha Gren, Sky Lord of the Ordo Decimus vessel Critical Strike; we are ready to lend our assistance." A tall man says through the tight-beam communications system. His uniform is made of some obsidian-black fabric fitting tightly against a highly toned bulk. Silver buttons and medals offering a striking contrast under a service cap, with a band of the same silver expanding around the cap from the flying skeleton of a raven; cawing a silent caw, descending from the air claws waiting to claw, with blood red eyes of ruby.

They loomed closer to their brethren, several cruisers and a few wings of gunships dancing a surreal dance around their vastly larger cousins, waves of cobalt blue quaking the universe behind them. All ready with weapons armed and starlight scattering shields of rose engulfing them.

The group of ships around the Ms. Harris followed along. There was no way they were going to be left out of the fun.

Starbase 15

The Pride Of Valhalla, still cloaked, formed up alongside the Confederation's defending ships. When the time came, they planned to leave at least some of this reality's Klingon's suriving to tell the rest of their wretched kind of how soundly they had been defeated here today. Once the rest of the fifty ship fleet led by the Darkness Before The Fall, then victory was assured as the Klingons of this reality had thus far shown nothing capable of handling a full fledged Imperial Excalibur, even one as all as this one was.

Crackling white light appears as a point, expands to a circle. extrudes into a cylinder a kilometer long. The third flagship resolves itself within.

Teleport complete. Molecular drift estimated less than 0.1nm. Nanopaste repairs commencing.

Ordo Decimus cruiser Intentional Misuse Of Sharp Objects, fresh off the assembly lines of Ok'Tarn, equipped with the very latest in infoteleport technology, piloted by some of the most fiendishly complex quantum computer systems ever assembled, armed with a lethal melange of stolen weapons, painted with... Well. You get the idea. It has entered the fray. It does not transmit, but lets its presence and obvious external weapons speak for themselves.

It hasn't started shooting yet, but this is only because it is under strict orders not to start shooting... yet. Its pilot is unhappy about this, because it has read the Intentional Misuse's technical specifications. Knowing that it is sitting in the figurative command chair of one of the most stunningly deadly pieces of equipment ever designed is giving it the electronic equivalent of an itchy trigger finger.

With any luck, it won't have to wait very long.
