It has been a long time since the Huntarian Empire has conquered any sort of space just for territory purposes. Long range scans have picked up that Esherian activity have been close to nill in the past few hundred years. (OOC: since the colapse of the esherian sovereignty)

Ships have been gathered across the Huntarian side of the Neutral Zone, and were ready to enter into E.S. space. It has been a long time since the Empire has had contact with the Esherians. Far too long.

Admiral Drishdee watched the holographic image, and could clearly see the edges of the Neutral Zone. He couldn't tell wether or not he should be happy, or cry. The empire was about to expand and conquer.

A strong fleet of 200 ships was launched into the Neutral Zone. The Admiral began to sweat. He was nervouse. He was waiting for contact with enemy ships since the Empire was in violation of the Neutral Zone Treaty with the E.S. Half an hour passed since the ships went into the Necrominus, and still no contact. [i[Five minutes till the boarder....[/i]

"Admiral, we're in the red zone. I repeat, we are in the red zone."

"Comm, what have your scanns picked up?"

"Still no activity."

"They've got to be cloaked."

"We're comming across an M-Class Planet. It's one of the Sovereignty's outermost planets before they enter their side of the Neutral Zone."

"Status? Population?"

The security officer punched in the buttons, and scanns came back negative. "Admiral.... There's nothing here. No subspace frequencies, no communications, no cloak signatures, no populations, no fleets.... Nothing for almost 100 light years."

"What the hell?" Drishdee quickly walked up to the security council and looked at the reports. "This can't be right.... The E.S. was at their height. That scan can't be correct."

"Reports comming from the other ships..... Confirmed. They have the same results we do."

"What the hell happened to them? How can we have missed it?"

The security officer looked at the holographic image of what once was Esherian Sovereignty Space, and gulped. He didn't like this. Not at all. A sprawling civilization had just disapeared under the Empire's nose. And whats worse, the Emperor hasn't said anything either. Either he didn't notice, or he didn't care.

What mattered was that the fleet has entered what seemed to be.... Ghost Space.
