IC:

The Knights of the Vash Order's troops lined the square in the centre of the monolithic town which spanned over half of the world, dominated by the political centre, and more importantly the central temple. The concrete boxed in its citizens, living under the government and fear of religion, huge concrete buildings grew daily from the ground and blocked out the blood red sky above.

The world itself was vast, harsh and desolate, hot all over with little sign of life apart from the citizens themselves. The landscape was marred with a hint of death, made apparent by the carrion creatures roaming the landscape feeding on the deceased. Such animals were feared by the general populace, hoping they themselves would not turn into their next meal. Such fear arose that a religious sect emerged which killed people during the night and dragged them out to keep such creatures happy. Now the main enemy of The Religious Order, the government and everything executive, it is largely non-existant, but some small pockets exist. These are routed out by The Religous Order and destroyed with extreme and deadly force.

Such is the power of The Religious Order it's guards have become military and police, all of which are deeply religious; its higher members are the most religious and usually religious leaders; the citizens are forced to be aligned under such religion or face heavy penalties; sacrifice for the Gods is made law; and there is slight resentment for 'the misguided', or non believers. The misguided are treated harshly, usually fatally. Those outside of The Religious Order's sphere of influence are merely preached to and advised to change ways.

At the height of government orders are passed down, religious minded and actively enforced by the Knights of the Religious Order, protectorate and everything of The Religious Order.

It was a new dawn, the huge space fleet was now assembled and drifting between out in space awaiting the last ships. The sheer size of the force was uncomprehensible, visible from the ground if you could strain your neck to see beyond the buildings. It was for the sole purpose of increasing the sphere of influence The Religious Order had.

The troops within the huge square were armed and ready, their swords were by their sides and seemingly ancient armour, inscribed with various designs and equipped with a central 'rune plate', worn. They were perfectly still and praying for success in their mission.

The Gods would deliver them success and give them immense strength for their task they were to undertake. The new age had begun, the age of space travel.

I dont mind what happens, but obviously dont be bloodthirsty. If this fleet doesnt do something worthwhile, The Religious Order isnt an FT nation.

Captain Togan had just come on duty and walked onto the bridge with his cup of caf. He yawned and asked his third in command for the morning report, and sat in his chair in the center of the bridge. Reading over he looked up and then back at his datapad, what was this? A burgoeging armada of an new race forging their way into space. "LT. prepare for realspace reversion and change heading to 201 mark 25." This new heading would take them to The Religious Order. The Republic of Rashari may be the first to make first contact with this emerging spieces. Within an hour the RSV Reprisal reverted back to realspace on the edge of the The Religious Orders homeworld. "Open a channel,

'This is Captain Togan of the Rashari Republic vessel Reprisal, we come with peaceful intentions and mean you and your people no harm. We are a diplomatic mission to your galaxy to open talks with all interested. I also wish to congradulate you on your first steps to entering the interstellar realm. I desire that we can meet and talk more on your terms. Captain Togan out."

Just wait until Captain Tanis heard about this when they get back. He is probably still scaning dead worlds.

The mothership and central command, the Astrum Navis, pinged the Reprisal. At first it was thought intentions were hostile and as such power was about to be diverted to weapons and shields. The communication made was received, but not noted.

"Translate this message! All ships evasive tactics!" The captain, a highly zealous man, was of course new to the job. Any person in his situation would be. Like any person high in society he was devoutly religious, driven by what some would call a "cult", although cults in The Religious Order were from from this. A cult in his eyes was truly heathen, and as such the people involved should be executed as an example to all others. This was the position of The Vash.

Soon enough, the message was translated, albeit manually. Not all systems were online yet, and some nonvital ones had power taken from them, as it was designed. "Sir! We have half of this." He began to read it out. "Rogan Rashari Reprisal, peaceful no harm."

"Reply." The captain began to dictate a message. "Heathens will not be dealt with unless good reason is given. The Vash Order will not permit such actions. We advise peace between us, and as long as aggression is not shown, we will ignore your religious status."

The Astrum Navis dispatched three ships, box like and with no offensive weapons. The message continued to be dictated. "We will bring you in for diplomatic talks". As the ships approached, two probes joined them, searching the ship and making light contact with it, unnoticable from within. They were searching the ship for a number of things, including offensive capability and safety, as well as crew numbers. The others were to disable movement and transport the ship into a holding dock within the Astrum Navis.

"Dont fear our actions, we mean you no harm."
