The Undershi High Command was not in a very good mood as they recieved word that they had just had war declared on them by another bunch of norms - the Hatarians, who appeared to be supporting the Imperialists who were giving them so much trouble in the jungle.
In response to the decleration of war, aside from the usual attempte to point out that this really wasn't their fault, all they did was to conduct an almost entierly pointless attack with five cruise missiles against Hatarian military bases in Hataria.
It seemed that they had bitten off more than they had planned for...

The Hatarians Anti-Missile Defenses took out all Five Missiles with ease, that Show the Hatarians that Undershi could put up a Good Offense against Hataria and that The enemy was Outguned, Out manded and Out Numbered.

The Hatarian War Plan was not to hit Undershi Colonies, but Hit Undershi it self in a Full-scale InvasionForce Undershi to give up it's attacks against Hatarian Allies.

In Tangalee, a Invasion Fleet was Massing, Two Shogun Class Grand Battleships, (The Sango and The Newly Built Black Pearl) 4 Golden Queen Galaxia Class Air Craft Carriers, (with 56 RAGI-17 Intercepters on each) 34 Republic Class Destroyers, 23 Asakura Class Curisers, 32 Nadia Class Attack Frigates and 29 Sea Wolf Class Submarines and 230 Titan Class troop carriers ready to Invade.

Official Statement from Reich High Command

The Reich expresses it's concern for Hataria's health as a nation regarding this conflict. If our sources our correct, your last endeavor resulted in the death of two million of your citizens, the destruction of your capital at the hands of nuclear weapons, and the death of your Empress. None the less, we shall remain neutral. If Hataria falls, how ever, rest assured we will be there to pick up the pieces.

Even if you could it would bring economic ruin on you so you'd be a madman to try, plus there's the logistics of keeping an army that size in the field.

Actually, we don't have 25% of our populace in the military - they're just genetically altered. Although, if they are genetically altered, then they're technically in the military... but really, it's more like the Swiss or Israeli systems, where everyone has military training... although in the Undershi case it comes down to having military training, doing reserve training every weekend and two weeks a year, and being required to have your personal gear in the house.
So, if the Swiss can have a functional economy with every male doing about that much... then I think my economy can function with about 25% of the populace doing that much.

OOC: Yes, you can, provided you RP the resulting economic devastation it would cause and how poor your military would be. North Korea, for example, has 6% of their population in the armed forces, and spends 22% of of their entire GDP on them. And as a result, it is a dump with a poor economy and a lacklustre military. It's not the number people are bothered about, so much as people failing to RP the implications of the number. Far too many nations around here have 'perfect nation' syndrome, by which they can somehow afford a massive, highly-trained and well-equipped military all the time without their economies collapsing. As far as I'm concerned you can have 50% of your population in your armed forces if you want, provided that you make sure they're nothing more than a militia armed with pitchforks and your economy takes a century to recover from it...

OOC: Hardly, but what I'm saying is that only four percent of the populace is made up of active duty military people - another 21% is a sort-of militia, but one that is made up of ex- real military people, with basically the Swiss training system. They just don't all deploy immediatly in the even of war - if war breaks out, then the active military would go up to five percent or so, with four percent being "real" soldiers etc., and the rest being Second Line troops. (Note that all percentages refer to of the total Undershi populace.)
As for well-trained and well-equipped, well, the "real" soldiers are quite highly trained, with the "best-of-the-best" being the IIS storm troopers. The militia on the other hand is about as well trained as the US National Gaurd or the Swiss militia, but is equipped fairly well - the only "real" military item that the Second Line troops don't have is power armour, so they're mostly used for defending dug-in positions. OK?

OOC: Its not a big force, that's almost as big as the US military (minus the carriers and battleships). However that's alot of infantry to feed. And a lot of fuel an ammo, plus the men to man all those vehicles and the mechanics to keep them from falling apart.

OOC- Undershi, I know that Hataria has missile defenses, and that most of the aid I am sending is missile and rocket-based weapons. But these weapons are capable of penetrating defenses like that. Shalrirorchia's solution is simply to put so many damn rockets and weapons into Undershian hands that Hatarian missile defense reaches a saturation point. Even the Shalrirorchian Super Crusader tank cannot shoot down EVERYTHING thrown at it.

The Undershi High Command has sent a reply to the Shalrirorchian offer:

We thank our noble allies for their gifts, and would like to state that while we are a fully developed industrialized nation capable of self defense, we still applaud any nations willing to make a stand against extreme leftist imperialism. Currently, most of the GASN members are telling Hataria to fend for itself. I am attempting to keep peace through negotiations on this and on other fronts of the conflict. If Hataria accepts the reasonable demands of Questers, then all should be well.

The deployment of GASN reinforcements to Undershi will not be acceptable, however. If additional GASN forces are detected in Undershi, Shalrirorchia is willing to consider deployment of the Shalrirorchian Defense Force to that locale to expel them. Please consider your situation carefully before you act.

Honestly, Hataria, if you're going to make a fool out of yourself both OOCly and ICly yet again, don't drag decent roleplayers through with you. It's hardly fair, and simply shows that you cannot play fairly, as seen through many of your past war threads and roleplays. Angland and his comrades have every right to remove you from their alliance, seeing as you aren't an active member and are simply attempting to use them for your own ends, and telling them to "shut up" isn't going to rectify that situation.

The Undershi government is broadcasting its willingness to cease hostilities with Hataria and the rest of the GASN. However, if hostilities end, Undershi will keep everything that it had at the start of the war, with no promises to disarm or anything.

Hataria is no longer affiliated with the GASN. But if you wish to cease hostilities with Hataria, that would look favorably upon you. Assuming, of course, Hataria would accept.
