Huahin had long been a dear ally of the Divine Empire, ever since the creation of the Pacifinesia alliance, in fact. Unfortunately, under the pressures of war, Huahin had disintegrated.

The failed government of Huahin had left a mandate to Kreynoria to govern its lands. Kreynoria would not interfere with the claims of Layarteb, the United Khanates, or Spizania. However, Kreynoria would claim Rockall Island, Roosevelt Island, and Scott Island.

The Capture of Rockall

Rockall was a very remote, very small, very rocky island. It had been claimed long ago by Huahin as a small observation post. Now that Huahin had fallen, Rockall would transition to Kreynorian control.

Rockall Island had had one origininal inhabitant: a club-wielding, heavyset Ductch man named Gruk who spoke a language of his own and lived off of seabirds. No one knew how he got there, but there he was when the Huahinians arrived. They had managed to teach him some English.

Gruk was confused. Yesterday, the lone Huahinian soldier on the island had left. Just like that. He had climbed into a plane, and Gruk was alone again, just like the days before that first soldier had arrived.

In the meantime, a single Kreynorian Wixted-class stealth frigate was plowing through the waters of the Southern Pacific, to cross the Straits of Magellan and begin the long journey to Rockall.

After a long, boring trip over the sea, the two destroyers each landed a party on the tiny islands of Scott and Roosevelt. The teams each raised a Kreynorian flag over their island. Next, the destroyers disgorged Navy construction teams, which began to work on construction of the facilites on the islands. Each island would host a runway, hangars, missile batteries, a radar center, ammunition and supply dumps, and a series of docks.
