Not long ago the Dominion was reaching new heights as a new era was ushered in. An era in which population was no long counted with three digits. A time in which the Dominion joined the other powerhouses of the world with populations in the billions.
But now... the time has again come. The Dominion has reached its next plateau: 2,000,000,000 citizens. Now DMG can truly be counted among the strong of the world; with an active military of nearly twenty-five million young men and women, it makes up only 1.25% of the population - and in times of war, millions more can be called upon.
At 12:02:30 AM this morning, Gunther Brown, was born to loving parents Michael and Mary. He was pronounced healthy after being weighted at seven pounds, three ounces. Both mother and child were doing excellently, reported one doctor, and have already been released from the hospital to return home.
However, their home and lives will have been changed forever. Like in the last event of this proportion (though arguably that was more important and momentous), Gunther is being given one billion dollars from the Billion Dollar Child Fund as well as a life-long personal security detail of ex-commandos. As you read this a security team is going over the family's house and securing it against threats (including the media...).
Certainly, this is a glorious day in the Dominion...
