The Department of Justice, in Atruria, is the ministry that oversees affairs of police departments and the like. Divisions
High Kingdom Police Service:
The HKPS is the basic, main division of the Atrurian police forces. It is separated into groups based on their principal states of jurisdiction. Peace Officers are tasked with maintaining law and order within the High Kingdom.

Royal Gendarmerie:
The Royal Gendarmerie is an elite branch of the High Kingdom's military. However, unlike most branches, it is under the authority of the Justice Ministry and not the War Ministry. The Gendarmerie conducts standard police duties, but also has a special tactics group known as the SGIF (Special Gendarme Intervention Force) and engages in military and criminal intelligence. Additionally, the Gendarmerie operates the Coast Guard and Fire Brigade as two of its own divisions.
