A Look at Armentaria

Armentaria

Armentaria is my first nation on NS, I am a newbie here. I hope to do well.

Armentaria is known for the stories, etc of Zaranius (may change). Zaranius wrote many stories, including ones that are said to have lolicon influences (Zaranius was in a different time period). For example, he wrote ''The House of Miss Cynara'' which was about a brothel of children. He was not a pedophile or anything of the kind, in his time. The ''House of Miss Cynara'' story does contain sexual content, sometimes with children. He wrote other stories, not all were like the Cynara story. Zaranius' last book was ''The Trials of Love'' which was about a woman who lusts for a girl. He died while writing it, the last sentence was ''Love is like war. At first, people benefit but than they suffer. Love breaks hearts as war breaks the power of nations.'' The book was known as the Zaranian Apocrypha.

Zaranius was placed in a tomb which can still be seen today.

More on my nation later. How is this so far? Is this appropiate to post?

I see. Zaranius is from ancient times or something, not modern times though but still, some of his writings (not all were of sexual natures, etc) would possibly be rejected in your nation.

Thank you for your welcome!

Another Armentarian figure was Konstantin Aran, known for bringing Christianity to Armentaria. Another figure is Vega Saracellea (may change as I am still thinking of a name) who worked for rights for women and children.

Other figures include:

Claranius Architectus (known for being the Chief Architect of Armentarian Emperor, Arcanius XI, who was known for building the Cathedral of the Twelve and others)
Valerian II (Emperor of Armentaria, known for bringing Baroque and other similar things to the nation)
Marina, Princess of Armentaria (a Princess known for her intelligence but also for things like benevolent nature)
Katherine, Empress of Armentaria (a commoner or noble girl who went through a hard childhood, later became an Empress, sister of Cyril the Devout)
Cyril the Devout (known for his Christian piety and devotion, was charitable and was benevolent)
Emperor Theranius IV, the Bloody (known for his ruthless reign, depicted with bloody hands in mosaics)
The Sisters of Blood (two sisters known for murdering a woman and her daughter, they were the woman's maids) (think of something like the Papin sisters)

Ralva Miran, agent of the Fox Country Ministry of Diplomacy, opened the recently delivered file on the Dominion of Armentaria. He was looking foreward to this assignment; although he knew little overall about Armentaria, he did keep copies of the Zaranian Apocrypha and The House of Miss Cynara stacked under his bed. Both books were technically illegal in Fox Country (most literature was), but fortunately for him the secret police hadn't checked under his mattress recently.

Refocusing on his present mission, Miran began browsing through the information. For some reason, its profile reminded him of Aesonia, another nation he had investigated today. At any rate, it didn't look like Armentaria at present would provide a vast market for Fox Country's exports, but he hoped it would make a decent political ally. Perhaps in the future it would prove a more substantial trading partner - or a useful minion. They did seem to be Christian though (and Christianity was officially banned in Fox Country), but that small fact alone probably would not hinder an otherwise profitable relationship.

Pulling out the keyboard, he grinned inside. If things went well between Fox Country and the homeland of Zaranius; the Ministry might opt to give him a raise.

To the Leadership of Armentaria,

The Great King of Fox Country extends warm greetings to the leaders and people of Armentaria. Fox Country respects and appreciates the august cultural traditions of your nation state, which have served as a fond inspiration for our own artisans throughout the modern age. We hope the reign of your leadership may be long, and that the achievements of your people shall be respected throughout all the ages of the world!

As a show of good faith and solidarity, the Great King wishes to establish formal diplomatic, ties with Armentaria, and is enthusiastic about the prospects of future trade between our nation-states. We also wish to know more of your customs and traditions, so that we may prosper in mutual exchange. Fox Country has much to offer your country as a commercial and diplomatic partner; our industrial might is greatly admired, and our advanced military forces are second to none!

Know that Fox Country's strong economy is a cheap and reliable source of labor and manufactured goods, and serves as an excellent market for natural resources. Should your nation possess oil, iron, aluminum, or wheat, we may be especially interested in further trade.

We look forward to a peaceful and profitable relationship with your country.

Office of the Great King Rumazh IV,
Shah of Fox Country

Note- The Zaranian Apocrypha is another name for the Trials of Love book, Zaranius did not finish it, he died while writing it.

To: Office of the King of Fox Country
From: Vega Varanius, Minister of Foreign Affairs

We thank you for complimenting our nation, we appreciate it. All kinds of ties, such as commercial and diplomatic are acceptable to us, to establish between Fox Country and Armentaria. Also, on the subject of learning of our ways (culture, etc), we can discuss this, you can tell us what things of that category you would like to exchange between us. Also, trade can be established as well between us. We look forward to a similar relationship as well.

Signed,
V. Varanius

I hope this is a good reply. Thank you.

Thank you. I am a newb, a newbie to NS. And I'm not one of those n00bs, I hope not to be one in people's eyes. Thank you for your welcome!

Ah, first and formost, welcome to NS. Don't worry about being a newbie, as long as you try to learn and are respectful, people will like you.

As for this post, maybe having a brief history and some stuff about your government and economy. Just don't do my mistake and write a 55 page factbook, which unfortunately is falling rapidly out of date...

OOC-Sorry for my late reply to your post.

Thank you for the welcome to NS. I will try to learn and be respectful. Also, I may do a brief history or something, I am still planning it out, my nation. I won't do your mistake. Thanks for your info.

May I ask how much a copy of House of Miss Cynara would be? I'm interested in buying a copy.
