Aesonia is ruled by an absolute leader. It used to have a monarchy, the Royal Family is now in exile. Aesonia is known for Valerius the Writer who is said to have written (in dispute):

''Concerning the abuse of children,
If a man lays with a child as he would with a woman and the child is forced to do so, let the man be executed. If a man abuses a child in any way, let him be abused. A man beats a child, let him be beaten. A man torments a child, let him be tormented. A man rapes a child, let him be given death. Society should not have to deal with these people, if we can call them people.''

Another man was Darius Theranius (may change his name later) who is said to have stated (it is disputed):

''Why should society pay taxes to clothe, feed and give medical attention to the bastards who rape our daughters, who abuse children, who neglect the elderly and commit other indecent acts? This is disgusting how they get helped but the homeless get nothing but spit in the face. We should get rid of these subhuman bastards and help those truly in need of it. A child should not have to go through what these disgusting barbarians put them through. Perhaps hanging them from trees or the gallows will teach them a lesson. If it does not, just increase the punishment. Teach them that their subhuman activities will not be tolerated at all in the civilized world. Truly they are the savages who torment us civilized people. It is truly disgusting that mothers beat their children. Let those who do be beaten themselves. A mother who beats their child should be beaten. Women do deserve equal rights but also equal punishment and correction for their actions.''

There is a writing that is disputed in who wrote or stated it. It is:

''As Hitler wanted to eliminate the Jewish people and others the Nazis hated, so must we eliminate the scum of society like pedophiles and other scum who pollute our society with their gross acts.''

Aesonia's leader is a dictator who may take some of these statements to heart. He has punished pedophiles and others, possibly by death. Crime will not be tolerated in Aesonia.

I was just going to say that myself. Thanks. I am a newbie here on NS.

James of Aesonia (still living today in Aesonia, I am thinking on whether to have him still be living or not) is known for his beliefs and other things. He is said to have made this statement:

''Any man who harms a child should be harmed himself. Why should he be allowed to do this? Child abuse must be punished, as should things like neglecting the elderly. Why should a child's life be cut short to satisfy the sadistic inhumane sexual desires of a pedophile? Pedophilia must be destroyed, it is not just a disorder but it is something that pollutes society. They are all around us, even in the Church which is sad to see them pollute the Christian faith, just because ''Oh no! I can't get to a child to have indecent relations with!'' The abuse of elders also has to be stopped. Aesonia has other problems which should be dealt with too. But back to these pedophile bastards. Now, we know that even women can be childlovers. We should deal with these women too, for it we only dealt with the men, they would say ''We are sexist and favouring women.'' We should not have that. Women and men pedophiles deserve equal punishment. Pedophiles have spoken of the day when they will be able to freely have relations with children. That day, if it ever comes would be sickening to many. On ''Alice Day'', a pedophilic holiday used to celebrate when Lewis Carroll met the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland is known for parades and advocacy for pedophilia, the day is mainly for girl lovers. I have heard people say ''Just shoot them all down or something.'' It is to them a shame to have their girls eyes exposed to these men and possibly women, who would eye them, imaging them in their beds. I do not say that I think we should execute pedophiles but perhaps we can deal with the root cause of this problem, pedophilia itself.''

Miran's job was to contact nations likely to prove be trading partners or allies for Fox Country. So, far, it didn't seem like Aesonia's tiny population and struggling economy would serve as a major market at present, but it could potentially serve as a political ally. And, it didn't practice the unruly democratic system of government, so hopefully it's leaders wouldn't prove too squeamish about Fox Country's own internal policies. Perhaps with coaxing, they could be a useful satellite someday. They did seem to be Christians though; that seemed kind of goofy.

Miran pulled out the laptop; he always liked writing diplomatic letters; they made him feel important. How should I curry the favor of the Captains of Aesonia? he thought to himself. Mentioning the illegal erotica collection stashed under his bed was probably not a good start.

To the Dictator of Aesonia,

The Great King of Fox Country extends official greetings to the leadership of Aesonia, and complements the Aesonians on their efficient implementation of progressive social policies. The Great King likewise feels that pedophilia and other forms of sexual deviancy are barbaric, and must be sternly condemned and swiftly punished wherever it is found. The moral fortitude of Aesonia is well applauded in our halls!

To the end of furthering moral solidarity between our two nations, the Great King wishes formal diplomatic ties with Aesonia, and would likewise be pleased with the establishment of formal commercial ties as well. The nation of Fox Country has much to offer your country as a commercial and diplomatic partner; our industrial might is greatly admired, and our military is second to none!

OOC-It may be for some. I understand. Also, Aesonia is not obessed with halting pedophilia, it only is hated or loathed by the Aesonian leader. Also, what are some of Fox Country's own internal policies?

First, a belated OOC welcome. And I'm sure a propaganda minister will make a fine representative; ^_^. I'm a little curious though, what direction do you want this thread to go in?

Aesonia may not be obsessed with halting pedophilia, that was merely the incorrect impression of Miran.

The internal policies Miran's mind referred to are those typical of a police state; the police have wide ranging powers, most media is censored, political prisoners are tortured, killed or forced into labor camps, and other things that Amnesty International doesn't like.

Fox Country also has many other internal policies; for example, it bans bananas. For a more comprehensive summary of Fox Country's policies, my nation-states page and parts of my factbook (both linked to in my signature) provide a decent summary.

I will think of a decent IC reply later.
