Subject: Carrier-based Air Superiority Fighter

After reviewing your request, SUDI wishes to place a contender to your contest. We believe that we have the fighter perfect for the job, the SuF-8 Phoenix Advanced Naval Air Superiority/Interceptor Fighter (http://z3.invisionfree.com/SU_Defense_Industry/index.php?showtopic=1). This fighter is the mainstay naval fighter for many countries including Space Union and is shown to outperform almost any challenger by a large margin. Its performance will be superior to any navalized land-based fighter out there. They currently sell at the price of $150 million per copy. Even more so, we are tailor a specific variant to your needs (addition of new radar, different engines, airframe enlargement, and so on). This will of course adjust the price per copy depending on what you do but we assure you that we will make sure it is reasonable. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us and we will answer them to our best abilities. Hopefully we will be able to do business in the future.

Signed,
CEO/Chairman Sim Nam

OOC: I officially endorse Space Union's product.

However, choice is good, and here are some excellent foreign-made fighters that I employ in my own naval air arm.

We are interested in the SUF-8 phoenix and the Xeon. Well keep are eyes on these two aircraft but for the time being we are going to wait for any other potential planes of interest. If no more planes are brought to are attention we will decide which of these two aircraft well be chosen for the navy.

thank you,

Shrak Aeronautics believes that the IF/A-14 Thundercat will suit your needs. The Thunder cat is a Highly capable naval fighter, building on the success of the formidable F-14D.

IF/A-14 (Thunder Cat)
http://www.geocities.com/jamealbeluvien/ifa14.jpg
Span: 64 ft. (extended), 38 ft. (swept)
Length: 61 ft. 11 in.
Height: 15.8 ft
Armament: one 20-mm six barreled partially directable (20 degree cone) gattling cannon
10x external missile hard points (10x fuselage) 4x external Pylons (2x ea. Wing shoulder (may be used for external fuel tanks))
Avionics: LIDAR/LADAR for range detection and Identification w/out alerting the enemy, phased long range RADAR with low probability of intercept pulse modes , high target resolution and mass target tracking capacity, integrated full cockpit display(FCD) for unmatched combat awareness(Similar to a HUD but is displayed over the entire canopy), multi purpose LCD displays for instrument readouts and status displays (Glass cockpit)
Countermeasures: blue/green laser light system to disrupt and scramble LIDAR detection systems, Integrated radar scrambling with frequency agility, 100 flare capacity, 50 chaff ball capacity. Modified jet intakes and structural curves and canted tail fins to reduce RCS from original version, liquid cooled engine cowling to reduce IRS.
Engines: 2x Shrak J110s with 37,000 lbs. thrust each with afterburner and 3d thrust vectoring
Cost: $42,000,000
Maximum speed: 2.1 mach at 36,000 ft.
Range: 3,040 miles (maximum with external fuel tanks)
Service Ceiling: 55,150 ft.
The IF/A upgrade to the classic F-14 Tomcat makes this classic interceptor a force to be reckoned with in the modern skies. An engine upgrade has given this legendary fighter new and more powerful legs, full range thrust vectoring jet nozzles increase maneuverability to allow the IF/A-14 to keep up with lighter, more modern fighters. Conformal fuel tanks yield increased range and a fully upgraded avionics suite allows the F-14 to remain the most ‘aware’ aircraft out there as well as streamlining the systems that manage the variable geometry surfaces that increase the performance of the F-14 at different velocities. With a 3d radar array capable of tracking and prosecuting over 100 targets, An array of cosmetic changes such as trimming corners, canting the vertical stabilizers by 15 degrees and streamlining edges as well as refurbishing the jet intakes gives the ‘thunder cat’ variation a much lower RCS than the original.

Alternatively, Shrak Aeronautics is about to announce a new air superiority model of the highly capable SX-24 strike fighter. However, the design will not be available for foreign sales for a little while.

[OOC: Argh, I cannot believe that you all forgot about poor old Isselmere! His company needs more love from foreigner customers!!! Hell, all of his corporations do, as both the Imperial Shipyards of Praetonia and the Portland Iron Works of Sarzonia have overtaken him in terms of sales, but not neccessarily in terms of quality. And please, I beg you Ustia, don't reject him simply because of the fact he cannot draw on computer programs if his life depended on it (no offense intended to the man himself): his designs are just as good if not better than the other contestents' designs in some areas. Oh and lastly Sochatopia, this is Ustia's thread you're posting in. If you want to buy Space Union's product, go to his storefront (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=486999) instead and make a post over there ordering it.]

TO: Government of Ustia
FROM: Admiral Daniel Chan, Admiral of the Southeast Asian Navy, United Sovereign Nations of Southeast Asia
SUBJECT: New Carrier-Based Fighter Aircraft

To Whom It May Concern,

Greetings from the United Sovereign Nations of Southeast Asia. I am the Admiral of the Southeast Asian Navy, and despite the fact that I am not a pilot and never shall be a pilot, I have spoken to several of my other colleagues in the military to tell you that there is a very good plane that is in strong consideration for Southeast Asian military service.

The Detemerian Aerospace Dynamics, plc (Public Limited Company) (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=380088) is an airplane corporation founded in and based in the United Kingdom of Isselmere-Nieland (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Isselmere-Nieland), a nation-state that has good diplomatic and economic ties with the United Sovereign Nations. It is a most wondrous corporation that my nation can say with a straight face "We are a proud customer of Detmerian Aerospace Dynamics." An example of such marvelous aircraft is the DAS-15 "Tiger" Interceptor, which we use to engage other aircraft, particularly supersonic strategic bombers.

However, as you desire a carrier-based air dominance fighter, I have included a document in this communique detailing the profile of the DAS-6 "Scimitar" Air Superiority Fighter (all of Detmerian Aerospace's products I have mentioned so far in fact, and more that I am to describe later). Please do note that the profile of the Scimitar shows a great performance, the details are sketchy and can raise questions about it's record. Nevertheless, it is your choice about to pick which aircraft to have and my colleagues and myself shall respect whatever you chose to utilize in your military forces.

Another aircraft also designed and produced by Detmerian Aerospace is the DAS-2 "Spectre" Multi-Role Fighter. The profile of the DAS-2 is much more detailed than the profile of the DAS-6 "Scimitar" Air Superiority Fighter and is much more impressive. As it is a multi-role warplane, it should be much more logistically easier for your armed forces should you utilize a multi-role warplane than warplanes each with dedicated roles.

If you do not like the Spectre or you want something to complement the said aircraft in it's role, the DAS-3 "Sea Fury" V/STOL (Vertical/Short Take Off and Landing) Multi-Role Fighter is another great design by Detmerian Aerospace. I would recommend that should you decide to put the Spectre into the service within your air force, you also put the Sea Fury into military service, as it's V/STOL abilities shall compliment the CTOL DAS-2 aircraft. Sadly, the Sea Fury did not make it into Southeast Asian military service as the Kriegzimmer Conglomerate (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=409787)'s Lu-25 "Black Mariah" STOVL Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10472192&postcount=9) (designated the F-25 "Peafowl" STOVL Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft in Southeast Asian service) won the contract. Nevertheless, we hope that the Sea Fury can serve in your air force instead and that it does so with flying colors and a long, marvelous life (complimenting the DAS-2 in military service if it makes it or not!).

And finally, if you do not desire any of the aforementioned aircraft, I hope that this final design by Detmerian Aerospace can do the trick: the DAS-4 "Swordfish" Interdictor/Strike Fighter. It is a superb strike fighter that can do a great job at both air dominance and ground support operations. I hope that you take these products into great consideration and will either way, respect your decision (as stated earlier) should you chose not to use Detmerian Aerospace as a military contractor or chose to use it as a military contractor.

Yours Faithfully,
Admiral Daniel Chan
Admiral of the Southeast Asian Navy
United Sovereign Nations of Southeast Asia

P.S. I'm not legalized to sell any of DAS products as I have not been sold the rights to or licensed by Detmerian Aerospace to. So don't come to me asking you would like to buy from me. Go to the executive board members of Detmerian Aerospace Dynamics themselves to purchase their merchandise (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=380088). But please do respond telling me the results of your decision however! And one final note before I sign off: DAS-(insert number here) (insert name here) (insert aircraft type here) refers to the corporate model of the airplane, once they are in your nation, you can designate them whatever name you desire.

(OCC: I can't decide! The Xeon and Phoenix are so fucking good I can't decide between the two. The Phoenix is good at jamming and long range attack while the Xeon is extremely stealthy and fucking uber in dogfighting. I'm tempted to buy them both but I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. What do you guys think?

Also Southeastasia this is kind of a little rule I have for myself. I don't buy anything without a picture. Don't know why but you can describe the equipment in extreme detail but I still wont buy it if theres no photo. Sorry)

[OOC: Ustia, a few things: One, at least you're honest that you are superficial, no offense intended. Two, those are not my designs and that isn't my storefront, it's Isselmere's. Three, some people are more left-brained than right-brained, and that's why those product profiles are so finely detailed.]

PANAVIA SPARROWHAWK AIR SUPERIORITY WARPLANE

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f16/MattShipwrighter/QAE/SparrowhawkG3.png

History
The Sparrohawk was developed by Panavia, the combat aerospace section of QAE. It was a part of the Airforce Expansion Program of 2010, its first incarnation labelled the T31 Goshawk, and then went through four different stages of development. The Goshawk was about to be released as a full CTOL craft, when the Illustrious class CVN was decommisioned, and the Ocean was apparently soon to follow. It was thought that only the Audacious and the Ardent would remain, and so the Goshawk was turned into a STOVL plane while the battle about the Ocean raged in parliament. It was thought the battle was won, when Parliament, under influence from the young Rear Admiral Riew, voted to keep the Ocean, and as such the T32 Goshawk, the STOVL variant, was reconsidered totally. What became of it was the Sparrowhawk G3.

Isselmere can describe the equipment in extreme detail because he actually researched his designs instead of just posting statistics like most nations do, myself included (though I am endeavoring to change that). The picture doesn't mean anything. Pictures don't win you wars. Anyway, that's just my little rant about this subject and here are some of my most recent designs. I've been trying to do what Isselmere did and make my own completely custom stuff.

Here is a picture of what the aircraft would basically look like if I drew it. The body would be a little bit wider and shorter but this is basically it.

An incredible weapon for any mission, the Aurora supersonic bomber is so fast, that it can outrun any, I repeat, any form of AA fire. It drops a small fuel air bomb that can destroy almost anything. After it drops its payload, however, its speed is reduced by 50%, so AA fire can then hit it. Also, it is not equipped with any air-to-air defenses.
