As the Necrons wouldn't really use names for identification, and calling them things like XG-1902 wouldn't be very interesting, I've put down what I expect an average human soldier to call these. (If they know about their existence in the first place.) The fleet is still 'under construction' but it will be edited in when finished.
The Great Phalanx
Sub-Phalanx One
"Harvester of Orbs" - Necron Lord with only Orbs as wargear. Appears to prefer capturing new artifacts over reaping souls.

4th Tau Exploratory Division
Commander O'Shovah - with retinue of two Etheral guards
Hailing from the world of Vior'la, Commander Farsight — less commonly known as O'Shovah — has embraced the aggressive spirit of his sept to the point of contravention of Tau doctrine. His first and greatest victories were won against the Orks amid the arid oxide-deserts of Arkunasha. When the Tau colony there was threatened, he led the Fire Warriors in a masterful campaign against many times their own numbers. Farsight's training under the legendary Commander Puretide had taught him to use the terrain against the foe, and O'Shovah's tactical brilliance during the war earned him his famous "Farsight" moniker.
Though his training had shown him the value of long-range firepower, O'Shovah encouraged the aggressive spirit of the Fire caste in his warriors and they fought many bitter battles at close range with the Orks and emerged triumphant. However, by the war's end, Commander Farsight had become deeply embittered, as he believed that others had failed to support him effectively during the campaign.
After the Imperium's aborted Damocles Crusade, O'Shovah led a force to reclaim the lost Tau colonies. As was customary, several Ethereal Caste members were also part of the expedition. Commander Farsight's force ran into unexpected difficulties with an Ork incursion probing at the shattered edges of the Tau Empire. In response, O'Shovah abandoned his recolonization mission and directed his efforts at fighting the Orks and drew his forces into a decade-long campaign across many worlds.
Though his force's Ethereal Caste leaders eventually died in combat, Farsight continued the war against the Orks without guidance. Soon, his expedition was well beyond the known reaches of Tau space. Farsight refused to return to the Tau Empire and instead chose to establish a string of heavily fortified strongholds along the frontier of the Damocles Gulf. The Tau Empire could only conclude that O'Shovah had turned his back on the Greater Good and was now fighting for personal gain.

Grinnin' Skullz WAAAAAGH!!
Waaaaagh! Leaders and Key Players
Warboss Lurtz: Big, mean, and utterly insane, Lurtz is everything you'd expect of an Orky warboss and a little bit more... Unlike many of his kind, Lurtz prefers "shooty" over "stompy" and his power-armor reflects that. Instead of weilding powerclaw, Lurtz's right arm is encased in zzzap! cannon he ripped off of a Predator.
Dok Grishnakh: Maddest of the mad doks, Grishnakh has experimented on his soldiers and himself extensively- as a result many of the boyz directly under his command have chainswords for arms... the "doctor" himself has a flamer for a left arm.
Big Mek Grull: A orky genious, Grull designed most of the weapons used by the Lurtz's Waaaaagh! leads Lurtz's armor divisions into battle.
The Rest 'o da Boys...
10 Ork Commandos, w/ Big Shootaz , 1 w/ flamer
50 Nobz w/ Heavy Armor
4000 nobz, slugga boyz, and grotz (mostly grotz)
3000 shoota boyz
300 kannunz (ZZZaap! canons and more conventional artillery)
2 unitz mixed looted Leman Russ tanks, speedaz, trukkz, gunwagonz, and basilisks (approx 1000 total, but most are fairly weak speeders and trukks)
1 battlefortress
2 Squiggoths
1 Heavy Squiggoth (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/snapdragon.htm)
((If this is too much/too little let me know... I dont really have the numbers and or point system down well))

Sergeant Mikil is a veteran of many battles throughout his career as an Imperial Guardsmen. His homeworld, which was in the Gothic Sector, was ravaged by Chaos while he was young. An Imperial Inquisitor found him and took him away before using an Exterminatus to cleanse the planet. Since, he was taken by the Guard at 17, and was sent initially to stop a rebellion at Lorn V. However, it soon turned out that the rebellion had more sinister forces behind the scenes. He was one of the few of his battalion to escape that place alive, and earned several medals for valour having killed two Traitor Marines with his killed Platoon officer's chainsword. Soon after, he based upon a world which never recieved a name, but was affectionatley called "Armpit" by Guardsmen stationed there, due to the tedious boredom they delt with. However, a Tyranid hive fleet launched an assault upon the world, in which his Regiment, along with the support of the 3rd Company Ultramarines fought off. He recieved a Badge for his numerous combat related wounds recieved there, and was promoted to full Corporal, skipping Lance, to fill the rank structure of the now battered Regiment. He fought from there on a campaign against the Tyranids on numerous worlds, in which he recieved his famous Scar across his face, which paralyzed the muscles in the left cheek. It is not known what happened on planet 340, in which he recieved his famous wound, but he returned changed. He has not spoken of it with anyone except those who were there. He fought again at Scelus against the Alpha Legion who convinced several of the Nomadic clans to declare war upon the Imperium. After defeating the clans, it is said the Legion was able to summon a Demon (Blood Thirster), in which Mikil led the attack which killed it, but this has never been proven, and he has never admitted this (nor denied). Later, he participated in other campaigns against Orks, more Tyranids, Necrons, and a skirmish against the Tau. Eventually he rose to the Rank of Command Sergeant of his Squad, and is being considered for Platoon Sergeant status.

Note: Wanderjar has control of the 10,000 man 22nd Armagh regiment. This is just the platoon that I plan to control IC.
I know I broke a rule by putting more than one special weapon in sections B and C, but I think it's a little more realistic this way. My unit is modelled somewhat after the Cadians, but put a little more stress stealth (using two squads of snipers). The Platoon is poorly trained, but has fought Tyranids before. I'm going to say they came to... wherever we're RPing at, to train with the Tanaris platoon.
Force Overview
Armagh 22nd Regimental Platoon, under LT. Bryan Skelter
Command - LT. Bryan Skelter
- 2 Heavy Bolters with Crew
- 5 Guardsmen
Section A - Vet. Sergeant Randall McMurphy
- 9 Guardsmen w/ Autoguns, Laspistols, and Carapace Armor
Section B - Sergeant Garris Shrike
- 2 Guardsmen w/ Grenade Launchers
- 7 Guardsmen
Section C - Sergeant Patrick Sullivan
- Guardsman w/ Flamer
- Guardsman w/ Melta Gun
- 7 Guardsmen
Section D - Sergeant Rack
- 9 Ratling Snipers
Section E - Sergeant Grout (Sniper)
- 9 Ratling Snipers
Section F - Sergeant Jackson McDonner
- 3 Missile Launcher Crews
- 1 Heavy Bolter
- 1 Guardsman
Section G - Veteran Sergeant Mikil
9 Guardsmen w/ Lasguns
2 Guardsmen w/ Grenade Launcers
2 Guardsmen w/ Plasma Guns
2 Guardsmen w/ Bolter Pistols (Fire Team Alpha Leader/Assitant Squad Leader)
Backstory/Character Bios
The former Hive World of Armagh was recently invaded by a Tyranid swarm. The world quickly raised a large army (over 50 regiments), and was supported by elements from other worlds, but the Tyranids quickly overwhelmed their defenses. Within two weeks, the only survivors of Armagh were the twelve regiments who made it off-world. One of those regiments was the 22nd.
This is one of the platoons of the 22nd Regiment. It consists of 50 humans and 20 Ratlings (but I like to think of them as Skavens, aesthetically). Every one of them has seen and survived heavy combat with Tyranids, and the platoon is even credited with the death of a Carnifex.
Bryan Skelter, Randall McMurphy, Garris Shrike, Patrick Sullivan, Rack, Grout, and Jackson McDonnerd are the main characters of the platoon.
Bryan Skelter was an upstanding citizen of Armagh, until he was conscripted on the eve of the Tyranid invasion. He is thin and wiry, like most of the soldiers in the platoon. He fought with dedication, made his way to the top of the unit when everyone above him was killed during a Termagaunt rush. He is close with his men, and ensures that their lives are not wasted. He has a grudge against the Tyranids for sacking his homeworld and killing his family, and cannot wait to see action against them.
Randall McMurphy was a little less than upstanding, spending many of his years in and out of prisons and mental institutions. During the Battle of Armagh, he earned a reputation for his ability to lead other soldiers in rushes, and survive. He leads the Elite squad of the platoon, each of them notorious for their fearlessness and survivability.
Garris Shrike is a notorious soldier, who survived the Battle of Armagh simply by keeping at the back line of the Platoon, and using his own troops as a shield. He rules his squad and protects his position through fear: it is rumored that he fragged several soldiers who were complaining about him during the battle. Despite his inferior leadership, his squad is capable, reliable and brave.
Patrick Sullivan is a very brave and honorable soldier, commanding his men capably. He is skilled at close combat, and is very tough.
Rack is a ratling sniper, born and raised. He is credited with the deaths of several hundred Tyranids, and has trained his squad from scratch. They are all top notch shooters. Grout is as good a sniper as his brother, Rack, and has a penchant for leading his squad into enemy territory and laying masterful ambushes.
Jackson McDonnerd is a capable heavy weapons expert, and is quite reliable.

So far I haven't got a lot, I'm still looking for information and would be glad for any extra links that will be supplied, I'd appreciate it if someone sends me the Tyranid Codex my email is is purpleheroman@hotmail.com
I expect to be doing a fair share of editing this post as my forces come into shape, of course my "Hero" units had to be kinda improvised, so sorry if they suck.
But at least I have a name and it is...Hive Fleet Calamity
Krow, any info on how many Carnifex and such like I can have would be good, I expect to have many, many "critters", tens of thousands is the obvious number and perhaps more as more of the biomass on the planet is converted. But bigin's are a different issue that I'll need some help on.
Well in any case, stay tuned for updates!
Tyranid Hive Force Comfirmed Units
Notables
Broodlord "Terror"
Hive Tyrant "Horror"
Hive Warrior "Scarred One"
High-Commanders
Commander-Broodlord henceforth known as "Terror": This is a unusually strong and fast Tyranid, made up of Space-marine geneseed. This one in particular is tall, relatively human (for a Tyranid) and equiped with massive wings and rending claws as well as scything blades, it holds a bio-blade sword capable of slashing through the hull of a tank and is strong enough to go head-to-head with a daemon.
Being a higher-order Tyranid it is capable of exerting synapse control over it's lesser minions and will serve as my commander untill the Hive Tyrant arrives.
This beast is a skilled and merciless warrior with many battles under his belt, so to speak. This Broodlord is intelligent enough to realise the advantages of things such as taking to the air to swoop down into the rear of formations, laying ambushes, ranged support and the such like 'course it doesn't think like a person would it merely understands the advantages of these things.
Tyranid Hive Tyrant henceforth known as "Horror": Big, dark and deadly as well as able to control other Tyranids with advanced synapse-control.
This one in particular is equiped with a range of hideous bio-weapons including a huge bio-blade sword held in the upper right hand. Bio-acid-dripping jaws, a bladed mace-like tail and two scything blades left and right hand sides lower and upper respectively also make up parts of this creatures' arsenal. The last limb, lower left hand, is a vennon-cannon.
Aside from direct-combat weapons this beast also has enhanced regerative capabilities and a spiky armoured hide as well as a toxic miasma.
This is quite an experienced Tyranid, and smart in a beastly way, it has landed on two worlds before hand and it's genetic material has done ten-times that. It is a crafty and powerful close-range fighter as well as an adept synapse manipulator.
Heavy combat/under command
A dozen-and-a-half Tyrant Guards, of course serving as Hive Tyrant's body-guard.
About 102 Tyranid warriors, ninety of which are spread throughout the swarm to maintain Synapse control. One squad of a dozen warriors acts as heavy a bit of an extra "punch".
Half a dozen Lictors serving as a kill-squad.
Nine Carnifex, for the Bull-rush option.
Hive Warrior-"Scarred One" This is an unusually strong warrior, it lost both it's lower arms, a leg, most of it's tail and much of it's body in battle with Orks and as a result seems to fight them out of preference, but perhaps this is merely a coincidence.
It has been battle-hardened by this Orkish-maiming experience however and in it's time has evolved many adaptations including flesh hooks, poison sacks and a spiked hide, as well as it's original clawed upper limbs. But it still remains heavily scared with tough ridge-like formations criss-crossing it's armoured hide.
It's bottom limbs are now harpoon-like barbs as a result of it's maiming and resulting adaption and regrowth as is it's tail.
Swarmers and swift-assault
Tens of thousands of Hormogaunts, probably around Forty or forty-five thousand, equiped with all the crazy scything blades you could EVER wish to see.
Probably around three-hundred Genestealers with claws, talons, tendrils, poison, acid, barbs, spikes and all the crazy Tyranid death-bringing stuff.
Thirty Raveners. Three squads of ten.
Seventy Gargoyles. (half of which are serving as Terror's Guard) all armed to fire down death on their ground-bound foes..
Ranged
About five thousand Termagants, mainly equiped with fleshborers and devourers, although some deathspitters and other ranged weapons are evident.
About a half-dozen Zoanthropes. (long range support), spread out through the ranks.
One Carnifex equiped for long range with toxic spores, venom-cannon, barbed-stangerlers and acid spewing bio-cannons as well as a toxic miasma and bio-plasma
Two Biovores. For spore-mine barrages.
Calamity Tyranids are dark purple-blacky coloured with white claws, teeth, scythes etc and silver-blue markings, for now, this may change though.

Back Info :
Tanaris is an agricultural world in the middle of Imperial Territory, one of the few worlds in the whole of 40k that sees bugger all action. They send their meager forces to semi-active worlds to train in case of a hive invasion fleet etc.
The 5th Platoon is the second newest platoon, meaning that it is still by being supplimented with his heavy gear and conscripts are being trained into regulars.
The only men who have faced real combat are :
Henry & Harold Fisher; George McCowall and Hooky. Everyone but them have had basic training ('cept the 19 conscripts). For majority of them, this is their first tour of duty.
Henry Fisher : Brother of Harold Fisher and son of William Fisher Snr, Commander of the Tanaris Armed Forces. Henry is thin and wiry, preferring to keep his distance and make sure the CoC is observed and feels his job is not to be in the van with the rest of lads, but to ensure he's keeping an eye on them all. Very protective of his men, and suspicious from any higher ups. Saw action on the front of Orc space and had one or two skirmishes while serving under the 2nd Tanaris.
Harold Fisher: Brother of Henry Fisher and son of William Fisher Snr, Commander of the Tanaris Armed Forces. While his brother took after his father, Harold took after his mother. Thicker built, and without the knack of advanced leadership, he went for soldiering and landed quickly as a sergeant after rescuing and combining several lost squads behind orc lines while serving with the 1st Tanaris, under his father. Prone to losing his temper, he keeps his men in check with brute force and bullying, but not taking it so far that they rebel.
George McCowall: Served with the 1st Tanaris. Distinguished himself in combat time and time again. Originally a Lemun Russ commander, he lost his tank is a surprise push from renegade Imperial Forces, but managed to get his crew out alive all fall back to friendly lines. Earned his first medal of distinction by foiling a plot to assassinate William Fisher Snr by outsniping the assassin with his pistol at long range. Requested a transfer from Fisher Snr's personal guard "because someone's gotta look after them damn rooks".
Hooky : Some of you may recall this plucky little fellow from the "Battle of Glazer's Creek", the humourous Zulu remake that showed in the introduction of the Praetorian Imperial Guard. Basically, Orc counterattack, replace Zulu's with masses of green skins. Hooky stayed alive by staying ontop the highest windmill and sniping the orcs from the best vantage point.
Originally deemed unfit for military service, he was pressed into battle by the desperate men to defend Glazer's creek. After the mass retreats of the Imperial Guard, the survivors fled the planet and managed to get offroad. The battle of big toof river was a total failure for imperial forces.
After the battle, Hooky moved to Tanaris where he was requested to take on a training role for the small resident group of ratling snipers. With the high pay offered and the Guarantee he wouldn't need to enter active combat again, he jumped at the chance offered,
For his own reasons, when the 5th were sent onto active combat training, Hooky surprised Tanaris high command and requested to go along. Happily, they agreed and he loaded his custom sniper rifle into the rack and joined his most recent trainee ratling squad.
Barry Fletcher : Served under Harold Fisher during his active service. This fellow is pretty unremarkable, except he likes to do things by the book.
The others can develop their own personalities as we go along

Maverius is a corporal within the vast ranking structure of the Imperial Guard. He is an experienced soldier, unlike many of his current comrades, and has fought with the Cadian Shock Troops on many occasions before his troop ship and damaged and crashed on Caladan. He was rescued by Imperial civilians and impressed into the local Imperial forces. He is a sarcastic and mostly cynical person, mostly due to his harsh wartime experiences in battles against the forces of Chaos. He maintains a dark sense of humor as well, and is skilled with his autogun, which he has named Annihilator and has heavily carved with prayers and the scars of war.
