My new nation has been founded. Latyaq (لاتيق) is a free and democratic nation. We want to become prosperous and become a wealthy nation one day. Our national language is Arabic, and it is also important for many citizens to know English, Chinese, and Russian. In Latyaq there are many Christians and Muslims and both groups are respected. Most of the people are Arabs, but there are also some Kurds and Persians and they are protected from discrimination by the law. We are looking for a region to settle in, so if you want someone in your region, maybe I can join.

Welcome to nationstates, and i hope you have a good time here. If you want a fairly small but friendly region to settle in, I would suggest the one we inhabit (Where are we).

What region will you live in? I will consider it, but I also have lots of telegrams teling me to move other places.

The Latyaqian people have decided on the capital city. The capital will be a small town called Al Iskandariyah (الإسكندرية) The town will grow to become our new capital. Meanwhile, the people have already decided on a constitution that will govern Latyaq. We still have yet to appoint a President or Prime Minister.

Ah, the wonderful region advertisments. By all means go along to one of them, but expect them to lie heavily (not all do, mind). I'd suggest that you move to the best sounding region first and then if you dont like it, move on. Good luck finding a home on NS anyway.

Thanks for being understanding, but I would still like to know which region is yours just in case I want to move in.

The People have voted that their nation will be a Republic. The country will be called "The Republic of Latyaq" (الجمهورية الاتيقية). As the name suggests, it is a Republic. It has been decided that the official language is Arabic. Persian and Kurdish are recognized as minority languages. All schools must have language courses in at least Persian, English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish. The Constitution has been approved by the Latyaqi government.

The national news station has also been established. It is Al Latyaqiyah (الاتيقية). It broadcasts in all the languages above. Voting on the national flag may begin soon.

PS: I know many may think this by now, but I'm not really an Arab, and I don't really even know much Arabic. I just wanted to play as an Arab nation on Nation States, and most of the Arabic above is just showing off.

A better way of finding it would be to look up my nation on the main NS game and follow the link to my region from there.

The Latyaqi government has a President and Prime Minister now. Latyaq shall follow Lebanon's example, and the President must be Christian, and the Prime Minister must be Muslim. This arrangement is the "National Pact". The nation has also decided on the leaders.
