The room was quiet as the night settled in. General Governer Zian sat silent in his chair while he stared loathingly about the room's darkness. The intercom broke the silence as it beeped. His eyes slowly moved down toward the intercom sitting on his desk and sighed.
"Yes?"
"Sir, they're rebelling." Buzzed the intercom.
"This isn't new news soldier."
There was a pause as the other end hesitated. "They're crossing the border of the province."
"What! For what purpose?"
"I sent a scout-"
"You sent a scout!"
"It was necesary sir. The scout did not make it back but we were able to get some information from his communications."
"Go on."
"Apparently, the PM down in their sector has done some unpleasent deeds and isn't doing anything about crime."
"And what kind of unpleasent deeds could Mr.Darroke have done to send them here?"
"Well, sir, he was making taxes on grocery shopping, 911 phone calls, and any sort of environmentally safe acts. He was also was killing and raping. I persona-"
"I don't care what you think soldier, I just want to know why their coming here."
"The PM in that sector was also, uhhh, banning anyone who wasn't white and french in that country to stay."
"That son of a bitch..."
"Sir? What are your orders?"
"How many people are on their way?"
"Sir?"
"How many?"
"50 million sir."
"We can't do this ourselves and the people aren't going to listen...send messages to our neighbouring nations and put as many soldiers as you can on the border, we're entering a civil war."
"Yes sir."
The other end went dead. The Governer General looked up at the roof and prayed, "Dear God..."

The people nearing the border chanted and roared, "WE WANT TO BE OURSELVES!" They carried guns of many types and signs. They carried knives and drove tanks. This was a rebellion never before heard of in the history of Fersythian. It was becoming a civil war.
The reasons are well known already but there are a few many have kept quiet. The rebels have decided to save it for the leaders of Fersythian.
"So what are we going to say to the leaders anyways?" Asked Maria to her husband.
"Well, honey, we are going to-HEY GET THAT FUCKING SOLDIER OVER THERE!-tell them that the government needs to stop this cloning system. It isn't right...nor do we want to always give our organs. Got that?" Replyed Nicolas coldly.
Maria nodded and frowned as she shot down another soldier. Why does the governement keep sending scouts?
The rebelling group reached the border and burned the welcoming sign to Viaraneck-the main province of leaders.

The soldiers at the border looked at eachother as the long snake of rebels approached. There was only 500 of these soldiers, they weren't going to do much. One of the soldier's walky talky buzzed.
"Are they approaching?"
"Yes sir, I don't think we're going to do much though, sir." Replyed the soldier, who was still staring out into the distance at the rebels.
"Just do your job."
"Yes sir." He replyed meekly. The other end went dead. "ALL RIGHT MEN! YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!" Shouted the soldier to the rest. He sighed raised his weapon.

No no, I'm mearly asking in what tech period this is.
MT=Modern Tech
FT=Future Tech
PMT=Post-Modern
PT=Past
FT=fantasy

And I agree, a little more detail would be nice. Because moving a million man army into a nation doesn't happen that fast. When it does, that's called WANKING

To Your Excellency:

His Imperial Majesty Pius XIII wishes to seek peaceful resolutions in all international conflicts. However, the availability of our peacekeeping delegations are at an all-time low at the moment due to numerous conflicts in the international community. Thus, he wishes to know how likely it would be to reach a peaceful resolution in your civil war before blood is shed. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated to allow our government to better distribute our peacekeeping delegations.

Are you MT?

What exactly is happening here? You've got a bunch of refugees basically invading you?

Finally, if you are MT, would you mind RPing a group of religious fanatics taking advantage of the turmoil to launch a terrorist attack?

I would be thankful if you could help my people overcome this and come to a resolution. I need to know what you offer before I set this into full action. It needs to be strong, for thses people are raging on and they will destroy this government if not stopped. They will not listen to me nor to any of the other leaders in this wonderful nation. But, there is a possibility they will listen to you. You must prove to them that their PM was corrupt. That it wasn't all of the government. Maybe if you prove that the rest of the government is fine, they will settle down enough so that I may communicate with them.

The rebelling group reached the top of the hill, guns at the ready. They all looked at eachother then back to the army in front of them. "Wait! Stop!" Cried someone in the crowd. A young woman broke from the crowd and ran in front of the 50 million people. "Why must we fight?!? Why must we kill to be heard!? We are a peaceful nation...or so I thought. What happened to us!?" Lea cried, her black hair blowing in the wind. A dragon flew above them screeching, as if responding.
The people all looked at eachother and then frowned. A man yelled, "She speaks nonsense! This is what we want!" They all roared in agreement and someone threw a stone at the girl. A man, her boyfriend, ran to help and took her back into the crowd. "I tried." She whispered.

There was a knock at Governer General Zian's office door. He put down his pen, looked up, and responded, "Yes?" "It's your Governer, open up." Came the reply.
Zian jumped to his feet and raced to the door. He opened it and greeted him, "Oh, sorry sir, please some in. Why don't you sit in my office chair."
"Thank you." replyed Governer Forwin. Governer Forwin took his seat and stared intensly at his Second in Command. "Now General, this war is ridiculous. This is nonsense! You know it, we don't need this war. We're a peaceful nation. So, what I'm asking you, is there any other way you know of? Because of I have no ideas and you are good with this stuff."
Zian looked back at his superior. "Well, we did get a telegram from another nation proposing a way to make peace. I sent a telegram back this morning sir but there hasn't been a response." Replied the Governer General.
"Good...good...it's a start. I say we remove the army. Maybe they'll see it as a sign of peace." the Governer declared.
"Sir!," Governer General Zian looked back at him, shocked, "That is suicide! I have seen those peoples' faces! They don't look ready to give up. This morning there was a report that one of them tried to stop these crazy people, but it didn't work. Our attempts will do nothing. I say we just leave the army in front, tell them not to attack, and wait."
Governer Forwin went deep into thought and then looked up, "You're right Zian. You know what," He stood up and walked over to Zian," You're going to put me out of a job one day." With that, he left. Zian looked back at him, shut the door, and sat back down.

[OOC: I was refering to the context of your posts. And as you are a Modern Tech and Fantasy Tech nation, I have this question for you: which tech do you mainly use in war role-plays? I'd suggest that you take a leaf out of Automagfreek's book: when Automagfreek fights wars, he uses Modern Tech stuff (i.e. RL gear, hell, over 50% of his military is RL stuff, but he does use a few NS-grade weapons, namely the Sentinel-class Super Dreadnaught that he and The Freethinkers collaborated to make.), and use Fantasy things like angels and demons for character development. Why? Because cross tech role-plays often end up in failure due to accusations of tech-wank from both sides.]

Somewhere off the coast of Fersythian

A lone C-17 aircraft flew over the ocean. The moon, the only light besides the stars at this hour, reflected in the dark waves below, and illuminated the clouds. Inside, lit by some dim red lights, was a squad of Bonstocknian Special Forces. Sitting in the back of the group, near the exit, was a man looking at a few papers. He was a tall young man, a captain. His name was Jack Norloff.

He looked down at his papers. The word "CLASSIFIED" was stamped on top of the page. The text, titles "Operation Mandate," described a group of rebels who the Special Forces were supposed to link up with.

Jack thought back to his briefing. A senior officer, standing in front of a projected map while he and his men were sitting at desks, explained the situation. "The regime of Fersythian has been oppressing the people of this province, and they have rebelled. It is your mission to train them and equip them to successfully rebel against their government. You will be resupplied by airdrop, and a Bonstocknian carrier battlegroup will be on standby in the region at all times to provide air support. Good luck." He went on to explain the composition of hostile forces, and what local resistance forces to expect to help.

Jack looked over a bit, at the eleven of his men. All fresh from Special Forces training, save his second in command, Sergeant Pete Hoffman. Jack and Pete went back a while, having been together in a recon operation in Yazmarea. That operation went terribly wrong though. Ambushed by a Yazmarean government patrol one night, almost all the Bonstocknians in the group were killed. Jack had been wounded, and Pete carried him twenty miles in the dark before a helicopter picked them up.

The others, Jack wasn't even sure of their names. They were just new faces. He hadn't trained with them or anything.

Jack looked at his watch. "Almost time," he thought. Slowly, the cargo ramp of the C-17 lowered. Jack clutched his M-4 carbine, and checked that his parachute was still there. Then he and his men moved to the side. Three large crates were dropped first, and then the dozen or so Bonstocknians jumped into the night, parachuting to the ground below.

On the ground, they soon secured their crates, loaded with weapons and supplies for the rebels, while a recon squad went to communicate to the rebels that their assistance had arrived.

Fox Country
23-06-2006, 00:06
To the Office of General Governor Zian and the leadership of Fersythian:

The Great King of Fox Country expresses great sympathy with your struggle against the unruly rebellion now brewing in your country. Our sympathies go to the people of Fersythian whose families and livelihoods are threatened by this uprising. But while nations of less fortitude merely offer similar platitudes, we of Fox Country are also prepared to act, to defend the rightful leadership of your Empire!

We are prepared to offer the services of our advanced and powerful military to your government, so that this rebellion may soon be squelched and justice restored. Should you accept our offer, the Fox Country Peacekeeping Liberation Force, our military's rapid deployment segment, can airlift 10,000 elite troops into your country in under two weeks, and our full Liberation Army is well capable of dispatching a million more well-equipped regular soldiers in a matter of months!

However, the logistical backbone to enable such military aid does not come cheaply, and unfortunately, Fox Country is unable to fully bear the burden of this mission alone. Ergo, to compensate us for this endeavor, we require the following:

1) The immediate use of your airports and sea ports, to allow our military to airlift troops and supplies, as well as to field combat aircraft for use against this insurgency.

2) That your government pay (only) one half of the expenses incurred by our military operations against the insurgency. Loans may be taken with our government if need be.

3) That a plot of land on the order of 200-600 square kilometers be ceded permanently to Fox Country as a military base, to be developed immediately for use as a headquarters for our operations against the rebellion. So that our troops can unload by ship, we request that this plot be given appropriate deep water access.

Note that, should you accept our offer, our military forces in your country shall operate at your discretion, and shall only engage in operations against the rebellion if you desire it. We shall follow our own chain of command, but, with regards to this rebellion, our troops shall answer ultimately to your leadership.

We hope that you will accept our offer of aid, and that peace shall be restored to your Empire. With our assistance, these rebels can be crushed soon, for the betterment of Fersythian.

I wish to find out what they are asking. But, if they will not listen, I will use your men. I don't know when they will fight, so that is why I'm asking you to send your men ASAP.
The cost and what you ask is totally understandable. I will give you a plot of land just out of eyesight of civilians so that they may not panic or rebel even further.

TO- The Leadership of Fersythian
FROM- General Andrew Lucas MP, Minister for Defence and Commander of The Armed Forces Of Nouvelle Angleterre

3-Ensure that no economic or social bribery, including offers of shelter or food, is used to draw people into the conflict.
4-Ensure that rebel or government forces to not enter refugee or humanitarian camps.

As these forces are humanitarian relief they would be in the country at your discression but would not be under the command of the Fersythian government.

The deployment would be as follows-

250 Troops, 1st Royal Medical Corps
Commander- Leiutenant Dr Robert Johnson

The airport had become a hurried mess of stockpiled supplies and military planes. Fat cargo jets bearing the black, blue, and orange roundel of Fox Country taxied to every terminal ramp. Infantry in brown drab, with barcodes tattooed on their cheeks disgorged from the landing planes in great chains, while a makeshift army of workers unloaded hundreds of crates of food, ammo, and fuel from the rear of the transports.

The inside of the terminal had been transformed into a makeshift barracks, with a whole regiment lounging in the cramped airport seats, waiting for somewhere to go to and adequate transport to get there. Only now, a portion of that regiment stood sharply at attention, forming a human corridor in front of the entry ramp where their new commander was arriving.

"All Fall Before the Presence of the Satrap of Fire!" announced an officer, and at once, the enlisted infantry shuffled to the floor and bowed; the traditional commoner salute for Fox Country nobility. The officers remained standing as their new commander marched in regally, like a uniformed wolf who had opted to adapt the customs of men.

"At ease." the commander waved his hand carelessly, and the infantry rose mechanically to attention. The former commander gave a salute.

"Lieutenant General Lucius reporting, sir. I yield command of this operation to you, General Hanel of the Central Command's United Liberation Forces, and Satrap of the Province of Fire."

The wolfish nobleman returned the salute, peering at Lucius with dim green eyes. Like Lucius (and most Foxites), he had dark skin, blond hair, and round features. Unlike Lucius, his face did not bear the tattooed bar code required of all Foxite commoners. His voice was cold and slightly gravelly. "In the name of the Great King, I accept command. And I believe we have work to do. Your report - Lieutenant General?"

"Of course, General." Lucius answered in Foxspeech, and the duo began a quick march through the airport, the General occasionally turning his head to survey the scene.

"We have airlifted two regiments of infantry and most of our support personnel; we're still waiting for Command to send us our armor and artillery support. The troops that have arrived we are trying to relocate to the new base site, and a company of engineers is busy surveying the area. The Liberation Navy reports that a mobile harbor is being transported, under heavy escort, to the new base site."

Hanel nodded. "What of the rebels?" Hanel asked. "Any new word on their dispositions? Are they advancing or holding ground?"

"No word as of yet. At present, the Governor General of Fersythia is holding us in reserve. A wing of our scout planes arrived from the homeland this morning, but our ground crews are busy shuffling these cargo planes to and fro, and we have yet to secure Fersythian permission to launch scout planes, or air patrols."

Hanel paused. Fighting a civil war in the dark was a bad plan; and even if this didn't degenerate into a war, he still wanted to know where his probable enemies would be. "What about reports of foreign intervention?" the General asked. "Does anyone here know why there's a Bonstockian carrier group sitting off the coast?" Fox Country's Central Command thought that they were conducting fleet exercises and had no interest in Fersythia's turmoil; Hanel wasn't so sure.

"No idea." answered Lucius. "Although we are aware that Nouvelle Angleterre has dispatched a small force, ostensibly for humanitarian aid." Hanel scoffed momentarily at that. Humanitarian Aid? At any rate, Nouvelle Angleterre's expedition shouldn't prove much of a problem; Hanel returned to ponder his first orders.

"Divert enough flight crews to prepare at least a squadron of scout planes, and ready a squadron of fighters for escort purposes. I will contact the government for permission to launch our recon planes, and to launch air patrols. Hopefully the Fersythian intelligence services will be inclined to shed some light on the situation."

The reconnaissance planes at least shouldn't be a political problem; they were completely unarmed. The air patrols were armed; but, so long as no one tried to shoot at the incoming Foxite transports they wouldn't have to use their weaponry. Hopefully.

To: Office of General Governor Zian
From: General Hanel, Commander, Fox Country Fersythian Peacekeeping Force

We hereby request permission to launch:

1) Unarmed reconnaissance planes, to fly over rebel territory and chart the disposition of their forces.
2) Armed fighter patrols, to ensure the safety of our air transports during unloading. Use of these planes shall be restricted to the vicinity of our new base, and of all air and sea ports currently utilized by our forces.

Governer General Zian stood out on the field in front of the barracks. He looked around as men ran about and then sighed. Zian looked over as a man ran towards him. "Sir, we have the dragon saddled and the dragonrider ready. Give the order to proceed?"
Zian nodded and walked over to the dragon. "Ready for this?" It was the dragon's first mission. A small one but a mission of great priority.
The dragon smiled and replied, "Yes. But must I wear this terrible thing of yours." It's red eyes gleamed. Zian looked up into the red eyes, good old dragons. "Of course. We want our men to be able to ride safely don't we?" The dragon shifted and stared back with its never wavering gaze.
The Governer General walked back to the safty points as the dragonrider signaled. The rider said something to the dragon. The dragon snorted and flapped its great wings, its black scales shining in the sun and its many spikes creaking.
Zian began to walk back to the building. "Sir, when do you think it should be there?" A man asked him on his right. He stopped and smiled. "Very soon."

The rebelling mob bagan to set up camp, no decision had been made yet. Some were growing concerned with the amount of helicoptors appearing in the sky but there seemed to be none now.
"Has anything been decided yet?" Asked a woman to her friend.
"No...this seems pointless. They want a war but they won't do anything. Why? I say it's because th'er afraid." Replied the friend as she huddled closer to the fire.
"Ok...any word on the man who went to the helicoptor earlier?"
"No...but some of our men seem to be getting new weapons from them."
"Hmmmm...." She crouched down in front of the fire with her friends.
"Don't get any funny ideas like that idiot earlier. I don't want to see you hung because you tried to stop this."
"I won't...trust me." She looked around uncertainly.
There was a sound as a dragon screeched above them, a rider held onto the saddle as he looked down. "There so many of them." The rider whispered to the dragon.
"Oh don't worry. If you fall, they won't kill you right away. Of course your visit won't be pleasent...but I'll be long gone before you here my screams." The dragon sneered. The rider rolled hos eyes, although dragons helped willingly, they werestill dragons.
The rebels looked at eachother as the dragonrider passed through the night sky. Something was happening in the government.

The advance Bonstocknian squad went ahead, and spotted the rebels. They began by introducing themselves. "We are special forces of the Federal Republic of Bonstock who have come to assist you in your revolution. About a mile behind we have more troops and a stash of thousands of small arms for your troops to use. We would like to first speak with your commanders."

One of the Bonstocknians radioed back. "We've made contact with rebel forces. Bring the supplies to our location. These rebels should lead us to the rebel commanders."

With that, the other Bonstocknians loaded up the weapons and supplies they had parachuted with into some five ton trucks they'd parachuted, and they began driving off to deliver their cargo to the rebel commanders. Nearly ten-thousand AK-47 rifles were in the collection, along with millions of rounds of ammunition. Thousands of RPGs, mortars, RPD machine guns, mines, and other heavy weapons were also carried. That, and nearly a hundred Bonstocknian special forces troops, would for sure arm and train the rebels in the ways of war.

A pair of single-engined jets soared high over the Fersythian landscape. Sleek and sky-gray, with small canards at their nose, they were typical of the fraction of Foxite planes not deemed partly obsolete by foreign powers. So far, only the elite of Fox Country had been sent to Fersythia. In theory these two fighters were keeping a watchful eye on the dragon rider ahead and below; in practice this amounted to waiting for something to shoot at it.

"Morlock-7 to Asshur Base. Over." barked the pilot's voice in Foxspeech, talking over radio static. After a moment of silence, there came a reply.

"Asshur Base here."

"Protected Object has enterred probable rebel territory. Have sighted what look like encampments, over."

There was another pause.

"Any sign of other military activity, Morlock-7? Inquiry."

"Can't see at this altitude, Asshur Base. Over." Hopefully the Fersythian rider on that weird flying lizard was getting a better view, assuming that it could see in the dark.

"Very well then. Continue escort mission and keep us informed of any changes. Asshur Base Out."

The Foxite pilot peered once more through his bubble cockpit to view the ocean of blackness outside. Finding the view fruitless, the pilot returned his eyes to the night vision scope. He and his wingman had a simple sounding assigment - make sure the dragon rider didn't get killed. He had a feeling his day was about to get more difficult.

"Now I don't want you to say anything till it's absolutly needed, ok? I don't want them to know what you really are. So no funny stuff either." He commanded as he took one last side look at Second Captain Firra. She just nodded as they saw the foreign people some closer, Jirra leading the way.
Jirra saluted and walked off. Minor looked carefully at the men and then introduced himself. "I'm First Captain Minor and this is Second Captain Firra. We lead this rebel group. What is your business here?" He stated formerly. Just then they heard the jets above as they circled. I hope this doesn't get any worse. I don't need it to right now. He thought as he looked up, noticing the dragonrider from earlier.
"Well, there is alot of people. Oh! And look, there seems to be some people helping the rebels. Wow, you really are having some people problems." The dragon reported to his rider. Gleefully thinking of burning everybody.
"Well, Rakstra, you would do well to mind your own business." Came the reply from the rider.
One red eye looked back at the rider, "Well, aren't we a little touchy tonight." The rider rolled his eyes and looked down. There was alot of people and those other people seemed to be helping them.
Just then, a feathered-bellied dragon streaked through the sky, forcing the dragonrider to swerve. The dragon shreaked after it in reply. The feathered-bellied dragon landed very close to the camp and started to move in.
"I was hoping nothing would happen tonight."Muttered the rider.
"Not scared, are we?" Rakstra asked, mirth filling his voice.
Thr rider rolled his eyes and looked back at the jets meaningfully. The thing with feather-bellies dragons was that, they are very monstorous creatures and take great pleasure in hunting large bodies of people. Normally...moer come later to help. The rider hoped to himself that this wouldn't happen.
"Guess what, you might just get to kill something after all." declared the rider. In reply, the dragon grinned...a big tothy grin.

He looked down and frowned, "Have we talked before, soldier or are you bringing forces onto land without permission? You do not have my permission till I can get your identity. I'm sending two of my best dragon soldiers to make sure nothing goes wrong. I repeat, you do not have my permission to setup; stay right where you are on that shore!"
Two soldiers clad in black armor with black suits on overtop walked over to him. "Saddle up the dragons sir?"
"Yes and make sure their the big ones." Zian replied. He watched as the two men moved over to the loading zone and barked orders. Then, six men brought out two dragons. These dragons were different. They still had the black scales, giant wings, and many spikes; but they were more fierce and four times larger then the dragonriders. These dragons were trained for war.
The Governer General gave the signal and the two men boarded. The dragons spoke no word but were just as intelligent as any of the other dragons...just trained better. Zian gave another signal and the dragons rose to their haunches, lowered and jumped with their powerful legs, wings stretching and flapping.

Fersythian Airspace; Rebel-Held Territory

A dim black shaped passed through the green world of the night vision scope. Morlock-7's inner rodent jumped momentarily, as the dragon he was ordered to protect was forced to swerve momentarily. What the hell was that thing? Unlike this strange foreign Empire, the skies of Fox Country were not filled with large, flying monsters, and, unlike the Fersythian rider below, Morlock-7 had no way to evaluate its intentions. Is it an enemy, or simply a dumb beast?

There was a hiss of radio static. It was his wingman, Morlock-8. "Did you see that, Morlock-7, over?"

"Saw it, Morlock-8." Right now, it, whatever it was, had wandered away from the dragon rider. "Log it; we'll report it during the debriefing. Just stay sharp for now, over."

Asshur Base, Fersythia

"Lord Hanel! We have an emergency situation here!" the Foxite soldier reported, her rounded features outlined in the Temporary War Room's crimson light. This hastily built, computer-crowded warehouse was the temporary nerve center for Fox Country's forces in Fersythian; at least until the engineers finished with a more permanent underground center. The Temporary War Room was dark, torrid, and filled with the whirl of computer fans, like a hellish jungle of steel.

"Hanel here. Report." answered the commander.

"Our recon flights have picked up a large fleet... now landing on the mainland! Troop transports, aircraft carriers, and what look like tank landing ships, supported by a screen of aircraft." The soldier gestured to a map of Fersythia projected over a plasma screen, showing the locations of the Foxite troops and the new arrivals.

"What?" How the hell did these ships reach the mainland without being noticed? "Whose are they?"

"They've identified themselves as the Armed Forces of FutureEngland Main Force; they're flying a modified Union Jack. They claim that they are here to 'diplomatically resolve the situation', and, if necessary, fight the rebels. We've received no word from Governor General Zian, and I'm not sure if he gave those limeys permission to land."

"By the Flame Demon's Testicles." Hanel cursed. At present, he had a fleet of transport ships crowding Fersythian's ports, another fleet of ill-defended transport planes crowding Fersythian's airports, and a pair of clunky mobile harbors being slowly guided to his new base. He didn't want a gargantuan mysterious fleet popping out of nowhere and potentially threatening his landing operations like he didn't want a pack of rabid ferrets in his pants. Hanel hated ferrets, especially rabid ones. Nor did he like the idea of this selfsame mysterious nation presenting itself as a competitor for Hanel's task. Neither Hanel nor the Great King wanted competion.

"Contact our carrier group immediately." the general barked to a subordinate. "Tell Admiral Kiir to prep her airwing and get her patrols over the ocean. Tell her not to attack or shoot first, but to be ready to hit back hard in case those nutballs decide to jump our transports. And make sure that mobile harbor arrives safely!"

Hanel turned toward a second subordinate, the communications operator with the line to the Fersythian government. "I want you to contact Governor General Zian immediately and request instructions. Ask him who these FutureEnglish are, if they have permission to land, and what he wants us to do."

"You three!" he turned to a bench of radio operators. "Tell the commanders of the ground forces to get ready to move out if necessary. I want our infantry ready to march in case we have to repel an invasion. And send a high-altitude recon flight over those landing troops. And finally, ask the officer in charge of our radar why he, she, or it didn't notice a fleet floating in out of nowhere!"

Somewhere off the Fersythian Coast

The Foxite Carrier Chakra Unleashed ponderously wheeled its course into the wind, surrounded by a flotilla of steel-masted destroyers. Beside it, the nearly identical carrier Mercy Withheld followed, clusters of delta-winged fighter-bombers waiting on its angled flight deck. The Foxite warships present in Fersythian water by no means amounted to a fleet; merely an escort force tasked with launching the occassional recon flight and ensuring that no vagabonds sank their landing ships. Hopefully, it would be enough.

Then two by two a fraction of the planes lifted to the air. Some went to follow the massive mobile harbor being guided to dock; others circled like buzzards, patiently waiting for instructions.

Governer General Zian stalked around the base of the barracks. "I want every man up and aware. I want you two to go and report to the base of the Fox Country! I don't know what the hell is going on but we have some unexpected visitors."
The two scouts nodded and climbed aboard two more dragons. They nodded to eachother and took off for Fox Country's base.
