The Emperor’s Imperial Archaeology Commission has come across the long lost tomb of the long dead Valgardian Emperor Otto the IV who was the one who conquered the southern Islamic peoples of the southern desert. Yet, in the final battle of the war the Emperor Otto fell in the front lines leading his soldiers onwards. Even after his death the Vaglardian army was victorious and took the last city of their enemy. Using the wealth of that city the army gave their Emperor the proper funerary in the manner as the emperors of Valgard were given. Inside his tomb there was put literally tons of precious stones and metals, many of which were made into extremely pieces of jewelry or into truly magnificent shapes.

With all the artifacts found at the site the Emperor has decided to make them the centerpiece in the exposition. As well, for the first and only time will a Valgardian Emperor’s silver coffin be displayed in any museum and after this exposition the body will be given an imperial burial in a tomb in the traditional burial site of the emperors, a tradition which continues to this day.

To augment this Emperor Reginald will allow for some of his own private collection to furnish the exposition also. As well, the museum will open a number of new exhibits that have just been completed and not only that they museum will also release a number of new artifacts into a majority of the current exhibits.

All of this the Emperor Reginald has invited foreign leaders to come to this event and join, as he will personally attended. All transportation and housing will be provided for any people who attend of course. As for security the Emperor has provided two thousand of his finest and most loyal soldiers to ensure the safety of exposition and to prevent any non-invited persons from bursting into the exposition.

IC: At the airport the only flights aloud to enter Valdra now are Scandinvan company flights due to the security measures being implemented due to the Exposition and the Emperor himself being in the city.

As for the palace itself, it covers an area of 87,500 square feet and the rest of the estate spans an area of 120 acres all of which are covered with gardens, fountains, and a number of other things. The structure of the palace includes a courtyard, a 2000 square foot pool, 26 bedrooms, 32 baths, a vast ballroom, a majestic dining hall, a private museum/ art gallery, an indoor fountain, a massive master bedroom, and a number of different things. All of which are at service to you while you stay here.”

"Lord Godfrey," the Crown Prince greets shaking his hand, "thank you for your hospitality. The Scandinvan Empire sure knows how to treat its guests. For the time being, I would like to unpack and get settled in. I will definitely want to see the palace grounds later on."

Godfrey bowed again and then replied,” Yes, my Lord. The other servants will take care of the rest of the unpacking and they will help you to settle in.

Also, Prince a meal has just been prepared and set up for you on the veranda. The meal tonight includes fresh salmon, seasoned turkey (a local delicacy), boiled lettuce, salted tuna, pineapples, fried calamari, sweetbread, white truffles, caviar, lobster, baked potatoes, and Caesar salad. I hope these are to your liking.”

The Crown Prince smiles. "That sounds absolutely wonderful. Please send along my greetings to His Imperial Majesty Emperor Reginald."

Godfrey bowed again and then said,” Young (?) Master please now follow me to the veranda to where the meal has been prepared for you. As well, my Emperor shall receive words of you r greetings as soon as possible.

The Crown Prince walks with Godfrey to the veranda. "Lord Godfrey, will there be other dignitaries joining me in the palace in my time here?" the Crown Prince asked. "It is an awfully large place for just myself and the servants."

OOC: Alright, then I will be sure not to use it next time, but on the other hand Godfrey is in his mid-50’s.

IC: Godfrey pulled out a mahogany chair inlaid with gold for Prince Kristopher to sit on. Then he said,” Master, well it is likely that a number of Valgardian nobles may come to stay here. As they are distant cousins of the Emperor Reginald and this is usually a guest palace used by them.”

"Excellent," the Crown Prince says. "Will you be joining me for supper?"

Godfrey responded,’ I am sorry I will not be my Lord. But, there is a noble that has been sent by the Emperor to do so. By the way he has arrived and awaits permission to join you.”

OOC: I used the term meal as I did not want to set it really. As for the robber he probably will not.

"Of course he may join me," the Crown Prince replies. "It is always interesting to meet foreign dignitaries."

Upon finishing that statement there entered a tall person dressed in full plate mail who then took a seat a few feet away from the Prince. Sitting down he said,” Greetings, your Imperial Majesty Kristopher. My name is Lord Erikson and I am of the house of the First Kingdom.”

The Crown Prince stands up and shakes the hand of Lord Erikson. Kristopher says, "It is a pleasure to meet you. Please sit. Have you had to chance to visit the exhibition yet?"

Taking his seat Lord Erikson then said,” I have been able to see a part of the Exposition due to the fact that one of the exhibits is made of the artifacts from my private collection which I have loaned to it.”

"That is most excellent that your nation has such a rich culture," the Crown Prince says after swallowing some of the salmon. "Where were these artifacts found?"

Lord Erikson replied,” Well, the Empire has a good 5,000 years of recorded history and our ancestors did leave many artifacts of themselves behind. As for my artifacts they were found in an ancient abandoned city that once serve as great center of learning for the Empire back in my homeland and the rest of my collection have been gathered from other locations throughout the world. Yet, the artifacts that are main part of the exposition where found in the southern desert near a ruined city, but that is all that I really know about the location they were found in.”

The Ambassador entered the museum without the usual entourage of security personnel and saftey precautions that accompanied anyone of her Imperial Rank. For a Barbarian Lands, these peoples were civilized and not a major threat to the Dominions or the Isles.

She swept aside a graying lock from her green eyes and secured it behind her ear. Damn thing would likely come back, she thought sullenly. She smoothed her elegant chiffon sari and walked out of the powder room. Then the Ambassador exchanged pleasantries with the Hosts. After picking up some wine and cheese, she wandered silently amongst the distinguished bigwigs and observed the party. Not too crowded, and just right for a party.

Then she ignored the party and studied the exhibits... Many oulde and archaic things were on display. Vases, jewlery, nitnacks... all very interesting if a bit barbaric and sumptious. She paused in front of a simple and small lacquered box.

In the next morning a car was awaiting to bring the Crown Prince to the exposition.

Time enough later to look closer into this.The next artifact that she saw was a stone that dated from the early days of Valgard during the first conquests of it at about 3250 B.C. On the notes of near the translation said,” From the north we of Valgard marched to war. On the field of war we defeated the (no know translation for the next series of symbols) and through our victory we killed the survivors of that people.

Using the ruins of their land we forged a new kingdom for our people to dwell in. To dwell in it 3500 Valgardian moved into the land and colonized it. There they elected their own king and yielded their lands to the Lord of the Valgardians and after that day the title leaders of the Valgardians was Emperor and thus the Chieftains of the Valgard became the Emperors of the Valgardian Empire and their line rules.”

The stone in fact was one proving how ancient the Valgardian Empire was and how old the line of the Emperors was.

Enoch approached the museum. a large building filled with guards. Hah, an intriguing idea struck, hmmm, it would be tough but he could do it. He would need to examine the building....

The Crown Prince heads towards the vehicle awaiting him outside the palace and is followed closely by his bodyguard. "Is my mobile on you?" Kristopher asks his bodyguard.

"Yes," the bodyguard answers. "Would you like to make a call?"

"Yes," Kristopher replies. The bodyguard hands him the phone. He takes the phone and dials the number for home. The car speeds off towards the museum where Kristopher will meet the emperor. "Hi, sweetie. How are you and Sandro doing?"

"We're fine," his wife replies from the other end. "How's your trip going?"

"It's going well. I'm glad that you and Sandro are also doing well. I just wanted to call to say 'hi'."

"In case you were wondering, the preparations for the Centennial Celebrations are almost finished. It will be wonderful, I can't wait. I should probably let you get back to your trip. I want to hear all about it when you get back."

His escort replied,” That diplomat tried to enter the Exposition without the proper paperwork and currently does not meet the requirements necessary to enter the Exposition, your grace.”

OOC: Basically, those two stones are a part of a series of steles that were carved thoroughout Valgard after their victory.

The Escort replied,” Yes, the Valgardians are an ethnic group in our nation. In fact their many of their ancient lines remain pure and true today. To that the lines of the Emperors still remains pure Valgardian.”

"That's remarkable," the Crown Prince says as he looks at the next exhibit. "It is very rare that a family line can remain in power for more than half a millennium."

The next exhibits featured a number of copper headed spears and copper daggers that dated back to about 2900 B.C. The escort then said,” Many of the Valgardian lines had family trees with many different generations on it that feature their direct ancestors.”

The Crown Prince is stunned. "That is amazing! How is it that your people are able to slow the process of aging? Is it an elixir of some sort? If it is, you could make a fortune off of it in the international market."

The escort replied,” The reason why Valgardians are so long live is due to our very genes and the reason why the Valgardian lines have been kept pure for so long is that very reason. The reason behind the long life of a Valgardian can be a number of reasons, but recently our scientists have performed experiments and come to believe that it may have been due to the fact that far back our people somehow were able to push back the age we die by somehow introducing the genes that allow the Valgardians to live for so long."

"So how old are you?" the Crown Prince asks.

"That's as old as my nation," the Crown Prince laughs. "What can you tell me about the artifacts over there?" He points to the next exhibition hall just around the corner.

The escort responded,” The artifacts are from the Bronze Age of the Valgardian Empire. Most of the artifacts are either ancient weapons, pottery, or scrolls.”

The Crown Prince carefully looks at the ancient artifacts, trying unsuccessfully to pick up all the little details. He turns to his escort and asks, "Will His Imperial Majesty Emperor Reginald be making an appearance here today?"

The escort replied,” His Imperial Majesty, might attend today, but yet there is a chance that he will not because currently his attending to affairs in a foreign nation yet he surely will attend tomorrow. Yet, the Crown Prince of this Empire will surely attend today.”

"That is fine," the Crown Prince replies. "I look forward to meet His Imperial Highness."

OOC: He is about 105, about 28 years old physically, years of age and is approaching the age where his father will step down from the throne and he will ascent to become the next emperor.

After a rather brief walk they entered the center camber of the museum which was the exhibit in honor of Emperor Otto the IV. Throughout the room there were many weapons, coins, and jewelry made from gold and silver and for the most part dating from about 120 A.D. As in the center of the room there was the silver coffin of the dead Emperor with his image engraved into the living silver in all the glory that he had been in life.
