Earth II - Operation Ravenwing III
TO: Major General Gaius Sextus Llewellyn,
Commander, Legion XIX, CFB Kingston, Norfolk Island.
FR: Command General Davyd Brutus Hibernis,
Cymrean High Command, CFB Azuria, Cambria.
RE: Operation Ravenwing III
Greetings, General Llewellyn.
By order of the Praetori Legati, 74 Cohort is hereby assigned to secure certain areas of the Antarctic continent, previously controlled by Dweladelfia Prime. Because 74 Cohort is composed entirely of infantry units, and is relatively close to the AO, it is uniquely suited to this operation.
74 Cohort will be relieving elements of Visara Corporation already in place. Visara forces have maintained stability in the region, so no difficulties are expected.
The details of deployment will be left in your hands, General, but keep High Command appraised of your planning and progress.
Ever in service,

OOC - Is this common knowledge or not? Because I was thinking we could sign some kind of Antarctic treaty or something similar, if you wanted.
OOC - It will become common knowledge soon, but very OOCly, I don't plan on hanging onto much, if any, of Antarctica.
From the personal journal of Col. Sarah Drusilla Williams, commander of 74 Cohort:
17 Iunius MMVI
We've finally arrived here in Hell Frozen Over; that's what the men have taken to calling it. I'm to meet tonight with the Visaran forces commander to facilitate the official transfer of sovereign control to Cymrea. After that, it's just guard duty, it seems.
As if playing watchdog wasn't dull enough, Seventy-Four also gets to pack up all the former-Dweladelfian military assets and ship them back to Cymrea for sale to the international market. Fortunately, this order also comes with a clause that allows me to simply destroy the equipment should an insurgency occur.
Sri Lanka was hot. Antarctica is bloody cold. How do I always get these plush assignments?
18 Iunius MMVI
Transfer of control went very smoothly. I can't help but respect that kind of tight competence; it reminds me of our own soldiers. The Visaran commander was professional and organized. Everything here is in good order and it will be an effortless assumption of control.
It turns out that Seventy-four is packing the majority of the assets up for Visara, recompense for their sentry duty here in HFO. So, we won't have to go to the trouble of loading it onto Cymrean ships. I expect Visara will collect and transport their prizes with the same swift efficiency as always.
I've received a communique from General Llewellyn saying that more cohorts are on their way here. A lot more. Apparently, some remnant of the former-Dweladelfian ruling house has decided to attempt to reassert their authority. In response, a great many Cymrean forces will be arriving shortly to mitigate against any hostilities from them.
Tomorrow, I get to take a tour of the penguin-meat processing plant. My parents would be so proud of me.

RE: Operation Ravenwing III
Greetings, General Llewellyn.
By order of the Praetori Legati, Legion XIX is assigned to Operation Ravenwing III. In addition to your nominal forces, you will be assuming command of additional cohorts being assigned to this operation, with a full list to follow.
The Legion is to make all haste to East Harbor in the former-Dweladelfian 7th District and deploy from there. Support comes in the form of the entire Tertius Fleet and their air wings, as well as wings from Air Combat and, Air Transport Commands.
The Legion is to prepare to defend with possible counter-attack only. Furthermore, counter-attack shall only be executed with direct orders from High Command. Do not - I say again, do not - launch a strike on Dweladelfian territory without authorization. A more peaceful solution may yet be possible.

OOC: If you didnt notice I said I wasnt invading you. Im trying to trade away my antartic land for a bit of real land.

Bottom of the world:
Nearly antipodal from the mighty Bjornoyan mainland Delta employee Mr. Tonathen Matza found himself a stranger in a strange land. An elderly man Matza had decided long ago he would live the remainder of his days doing what he did best, organizing and leading regions within Visara’s sphere of influence. Little did he know his task would take him so far from home, both physically and mentally. About the only thing similar between Antarctica and his previous assignment in Novaya Zemlya was the blinding whiteness that surrounded him.
Whatever the hell just happened within Dwelapelfia Prime was still a twisted mystery. Within days the government seemed to have disappeared, as if it just gave up and left. It was not in Visara’s spirit to let the masses decay to mob-rule and general disorder. If anyone were to be killing anybody, Visara made sure it would be the one pulling the trigger…
Not that Antarctica was a problem. The citizens were strict and orderly even without government leadership. Years of living in the harshest terrain on earth do not as one would predict turn him into a beast but rather tame him. Not only did they serve their political leaders but also their supreme master, nature.
It was with this in mind Delta Mr. Matza made Visara’s presence as stealthy and unnoticeable as possible, sending only a few Epsilons to important structures; ports, harbors, farms, hospitals, and schools. Too much more and the populace might have become uneasy. One can either make the dog sit by beating it to the ground or scratching its ears. Visara had neither the strength, need, nor moral backing to be ruthless in this situation.
Delta Mr. Matza awaited the Major General Gaius Sextus Llewellyn of the Cymrean military. Transition went over decently well, but Delta Mr. Matza had some concerns over where exactly the Cymreans would make their boundaries in this seemingly eternal-forsaken landscape.
When that minor concern was dealt with Delta Mr. Matza would finally disengage the 'corporate law' currently being enforced and allow total transfer to the new legitimate government. The Cymreans would acquire new territory and Visara could get back to what it did best; business, a win-win.

OOC: Hey Cymrea, I'm on YIM right now.
Communique to Dweladelfia Prime
While we are interested to note that Dweladelfia Prime is not planning an invasion, it is believed that a formalized Non-Agression Pact would better serve both our nations.
Cymrea hereby offers the Wilkes Land Treaty - establishing Wilkes Land, formerly the Dweladelfian 7th District, as a sovereign territory of Cymrea; recognizing all other Dweladelfian holdings as sovereign territory of Dweladelfia Prime; vowing no aggressive actions from Cymrea on the Antarctic continent, with all Cymrean national citizens and properties to remain within the Wilkes Land borders and sovereign waters or in international waters; and vowing no aggressive actions from Dweladelfia Prime on the Antarctic continent, with all Dweladelfian national citizens and properties to remain outside the Wilkes Land borders and sovereign waters or in international waters.
Signed and sealed,
Meredith Aurelia Rhys-Jones
