2006: As the bird flu ravages the Asian community, France is introduced to an upswing in the disease. Safety measures are enacted--among these are masks, and mandatory checkups. They succeed, for the most part, though many still die from the avian flu from tourists.

2007: Jacques Chirac defeated in a narrow victory by Gautier de Lorme. France stays neutral in the Two Year War, fearing a large-scale terrorist war. The National Police undergoes an upgrade, to prematurely stop such assaults. Among these are the addition of several light French Army vehicles, and automatic weapons. With increasing tensions in Europe and Eurasia, the French government becomes worried that a war could spark.

2008: When diplomatic pleas to General Savovic fail, France turns to the UN. Sanctions are suggested, but oddly, France takes it a step further. Intent on defusing a regime before it could get entrenched, France invades Bosnia within eight months after the General seized power. NATO forces aid the French military.

Late 2008 to Early 2009: French/NATO forces roll across Bosnian terrain in a fast-paced war. Rebels are caught between several prongs of an strategic attack, thus forcing them to commit to normal warfare. France/NATO-occupied Bosnia is ravaged by terror campaigns, goaded by the remnants of the previous regime and other belligerents. Caught embroiled in their own rather difficult situation, France must stand by and watch the "cleansing" brought on by the new Russian Federation's president. Isolationist views make a resurgence; marches are made across the nation. Others hold marches stating a more opposite view--one that eschews a much stronger military and imperialistic views. This second group has a disturbing amount of the populace behind it, but they are well within French law.

2009: Sanctions are imposed upon Iran. Some call for a naval blockade. France and NATO appear to be in Bosnia for the immediately-forseeable future.

2011: War is declared on Pakistan for their aiding of Iran's nuclear program. French strategic missiles are launched, adding to the destruction already caused by US forces. France begins to watch Spain warily. de Lomme re-elected.

2012: France's agricultural foundation is horribly shaken by the loss of so many crops. Other food animals die from radiation poisoning, as do some people. The government issues antiradiation kits, including potassium iodide pills, gas masks, duct tape, and other essentials. de Lomme dies of natural causes.

2013: Strongly isolationist and nationalist leader Lothaire Laurent makes his way to power in the midst of the nuclear crisis. Military strength blooms, foreign aid drops off sharply. France is, as of yet, unable to intervene, even if it wanted to. The republic is relatively quiescent for the next two years, and begins pulling out of Bosnia. Not much is known about the new France's intentions.

OOC: It looks pretty good, except you should post a link to this thread on the main E2015 thread so everyone can find it easier.
