There are several players who have identified their nations as being posthuman in some ways. The nation I am playing uses a lot of posthuman concepts. Amazonian Beasts identifies their race as being posthuman. I integrate wetware and AIs into my nation. I just think it is kind of interesting.

There are also some nations in PMT that use transhuman concepts, smart drugs, body modification, cloning as well.

In some of the battles I end up playing, i.e. fighting demons, unstoppable self-replicating machines, or higher beings it becomes necessary to use singularity age technology (psitech) or technology that is so close to magic that it is indistinguishable from magic or mysticism.

This would be singularity age technology, or technology which draws on machines or modified humanity which is far more intelligent and capable than present day people.

Sophant Scale (ttp://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=11142601#post11142601) This is from my Space Fact Book...

The Melii are amorphous. We utilize different Singularity epochs for different time periods. It is more fun that way. Each inconstitency is an evolution of our Multiverse selves.

Yup... I noticed that there were a few that seemed to be utilizing level 2-3 and every now and then you run into someone that uses 4-5. You are the only one I have met so far that actually used a level 6 with Thor.

LOL.

The Melii prefer not to bother making or invoking such powers.

Level 6 entities like Thoth (deity entities) are very dangerous. It is basically, a level 5 entity with an upgrade the Final Encyclopedia/Greater Synopticon of Entirty. It chose to disembody as part of its initial mission.

Note: If you have read Lords of Light by Roger Zelazny, or Ilium by Dan Simmons, the mythical technical creations described there would be level 6 entities.

I read them eh... no I think they are more level 4.0-5.6. They aren't the refined godhood of the 16 quite yet. They have to many foibles to be that refined.

Here is a Wiki article on Singularity Events (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technological_singularity).
It might explain things better for those unfamiliar with the concept.

This is an excerpt about the Culture by Iain Banks, it is a fictional future society and would be a singularity age society.
