// Abstract //

The G12A4 is the next, and first generation assault rifle for the Asperitan Armed Forces, or the AAF. Over several dozen years of learning and understanding the mechanics of the Assault rifle, and the most successful designs the Asperitan research department came up with this weapon. At the forefront of plastics, polymers, and light weight metals this rifle was born.

The rifle uses a bullpup configuration, following the recent rise of bullpup rifles, but attempts to capitalize on the configuration to increase potential muzzle velocity, allowing for greater penetration. It also relies on caseless ammunition, as opposed to cased ammunition to no longer risk jamming and if the need arise have an ultra high possible ROF to hose down targets in lead. The G12 also sports a fully modular barrel which can easily and quickly be changed out in less than a minute if the need arise. The weapon it’s self is fully modular as well, the body made for quick field stripping for adjustment of the RPM.

This rifle over the years has become a favorite amount Asperitan soldiers because it simply never jams, is a breeze to clean and maintain, the ability to quickly change out the barrel, it’s perfect length of not being overly long and so to be cumbersome.

The point of choosing 5.7mm ammunition was out of logistics. It was decided that after several hundred meters the bullet would begin to tumble causing an astounding amount of hydrostatic shock though not fatality knocking out the Opfor and two other soldiers. A medic, and a soldier to help him off the field, meaning 3 soldiers for one bullet, maybe 4 soldiers if the Opfor requires a second helper to be dragged off the field. Another reason was that it easily could become Super Sonic and perform better as an armor piercing round than say 7.62 as the size causes more friction due to it’s diameter.

Also a small heavy density steel rod weighs down the weapon near the fore-grip in which a small knob which can be turned can distribute weight according to the users prefrence. Otherwise, it is perfectly distributed upon standard issue.

Also Asperitan Novac Lo Carry Transparent Blue Holo Sights make up the standard issue Iron Sights.

As shown in the preview below, they make repetitive automatic, or single shot shooting a breeze because while the target is always in sight and because the crosshairs are always there to guide not obstruct view to the target.

People generally post in these threads, don't know why no one has yet. Just give it some time. And look around for a thing called the 'NS Draftroom' and register at their forums.

OOC: The only problem with this weapon is that the Buttstock is too close to the magazine, and it does not seem that the buttstock is long enough to fufill its stabilizing purpose.

OOC: Agreed, how much recoil could it have, light rifles have a problem of being terribly inaccurate because of recoil. Heavy steel can weigh it down.

Have you thought about a folding or extending buttstock. Perhaps make an A5 with a longer buttstock and an LMG/SAW version with a longer buttstock, longer barrel, and a bipod. A whole family of rifles can sell better than just one.

How easily would it be to begin making knockoff copies, and how much would production rights cost. I'm asking because you are a relatively new country and I'm assuming not a whole lot of skill in specialized machine tools.

[Well I created a thread where I capped about 2 million slaves for production perposes. Well, for Hyper-Mass production, by that the slaves make the production plants, and legit workers fill the plants so it's 100% profit. Despite that, I'll get right on making images for an entire family, and production costs I would estimate for my rifle would be 3.3 Billion?]

OOC: Well I'm assume those production costs will be 3.3 billion to build the entire infrastructure from scratch. But I'm talking produciton rights, as in a license to build the rifle. So slaves don't normally do specialized work so I'm assuming it'll be mostly machine cast and the slaves do simple grunt work so it shouldn't be too hard to buy a few and begin to reverse engineer them.

A middle aged man in a blue Asperitan military uniform sitting in his office reponded to the E-Mail while typing on his government issued laptop and taking a sip from his coffee mug with one hand said.

// Encryped E-Mail //

The 2 Billion dollar offer for production rights of our fine rifle have been accepted. Blue prints as well as technical specifications are attached to this E-Mail.

Schematics - [16.2 Megabytes] - File Type [.bz2]
