The Land of Cem The Turk

Osmanlia

Osmanlia (also known as Salamandria, may change later) was known to be led by a child or young adult Queen. Osmanlia's national languages were Ottoman Turkish (before Modern Turkish) and Salamandrian. Religions like Islam (including Sufism) and Christianity lived on in Osmanlia. Also in Osmanlia was Sufi Christianity, a Sufi form of the Christian faith.

Osmanlia got its Ottoman identity from Cem the Turk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cem), who fled from the Ottoman Empire and came to Osmanlia, marrying into the nation. This is said to have helped Ottoman ways come into the nation.

The current Queen was a child or young adult but she was respected nonetheless.

How did I do on this so far? Could some people tell me? I will continue later, this is an introduction to my nation, I guess.

the idea is sound and it sounds like you've a monarchy style government as well. A young Queen would probally have a court of advisors as well.

I also like the broad range of faiths as well.

Thanks, Kurisubo. It is indeed a monarchy. A court of advisors does help the Queen, as well as a Grand Vizier for example. Thanks for your compliments, etc. There is a broad range of faiths, I guess, for example, Sufi Christianity.

you dont have to limit yourself to the ottomans. There are plenty of Turkish speakers from the Uighers in China to the Turkmen of Turkmenistan, Azerbajanii, Seljuks, etc...

Your Cem could have married into one of the other sub-groups...

good luck.

I do know about those Turkic groups but I wanted to try the Ottomans. I understand all of the info you gave me. Thank you for wishing me good luck.
