Mer De Noms, Capital of Mer des Ennuis
It was a beautiful spring day. The Arch Arsonist, Carpathia Ziemowit stood in his office, looking out upon the [i]Plaza de la Vérité[/V], a monument built to those known only to God who had sacrificed their lives against the vile monsters of Kraven. The Arch Arsonist watched a platoon of guardsmen walking in unison on patrol when his intercom buzzed.
“Yes?”
“Sir, the Vice Minister of Finance is here to see you, something about a marriage”
“Sure, send him in.”
Vice Minister Wawrzyniec Marceli walked in, holding an unmarked dossier in his hand. He gave a salute, which the Arch Arsonist returned. Both men sat down.
“So, Wawrzyniec, what can I do for you?”
“Sir, some of my son’s friends are seeking to get married, and lack a good way to meet other high stature people from other nations, and I’m doing this as a favor for him.”
“And how does this concern me?”
“Well, I want to get your blessing on these 5, since they will inevitably end up having some sway on the international stage. After all, if one of them manages to marry a prince or a princess, we will have undeniable influence with that country.”
“Ah, okay, I will review these. When I’m done, I’ll have one of the secretaries draft a formal notice of their search for marriage.”
“Thank you, sir.”
The minister handed the folder to Carpathia, and, after exchanging formalities, left. The Arch Arsonist opened the folder, and saw that it contained 2 men and 2 women, who had apparently been checked out by the internal security service. He thumbed through them, found them acceptable, and sent it off. Later that night, a letter was dispatched to all applicable agencies abroad.
“Attention! The Armed Republic of Mer des Ennuis has several important people looking for life partners. Enclosed is a description of those who are seeking parteners. A reception will be held at Hôtel sur le Fleuve, and suitors will be picked up by private motorcade. Good luck to all potential husbands and wives!
