A singular message was broadcast through out the Multiverse. It was specially concealed within the Dimensional matrix and disguised as background clutter common in the energy spectrum of the dimensional layers of the Universe. It would take a greatly advanced nation that had spent centuries studying Dimensional Technology to even notice the variance in the signal from the true background clutter.

The message was simple, but intriguing.

This is Emperor Nhur-Galladu of the Balrogga Empire.

I am holding another of my discussions upon the nature of our Multiverse. I had many people show up for my Temporal Symposium years ago and I wish to hold another.

The discussion will be held upon the subject matter of Dimensional Technology. There are coordinates that will follow this message. If you are experienced enough to participate, please follow them.

This is the Sign-up Thread and Intro only. You can RP your arrival at the Coordinates and after I chech your references (see below) you will find out if you are accepted.

The symposium will be restricted to 6 guest nations only. There will be no exception to this rule. If you didn’t see this post in time then it took you too long IC to notice the message. Each nation will be allowed three specialists to attend.

Also, to participate you have to have been around long enough to research Dimensional Technology at least a year to reflect in the hundreds of years it would take to develop the technology as well as have at least three links to Threads posted before this is submitted. Editing does not count. The links should contain either Dimensional Research or the demonstration of Dimensional technology in all it’s glory. This means using it for more than just weaponry. Anyone can tack the word “dimensional” to a cannon, but the proper RP of the entire R&D as well as the deployment of said dimensional item would be completely different.

I have see the emergence of many smaller nations using the word in their descriptions (as well as Temporal) without them having any real demonstrated background to support one of the most difficult and time consuming techs in FT. I wanted to gather six of the nations that have shown experience in the area to discuss the different aspects we use as well as what can be done to improve the misuse of said technology.

The coordinates lead to a carrier and its escort that is waiting deep in Dimensional Space where neither typical drives nor accident could reach. The coordinates are obviously multi-dimensional to a nation that possess Dimensional Tech, otherwise they would appear as multiple strings of large numbers

I will keep this open for two weeks before I close the enrollment. If there are not enough applicants then it will be a smaller meeting. If there are too many, I will take the first six to supply their full links. There will be no reservations and I ask for those who would not participate actively to refrain from submitting themselves to attend. Why take a spot if you are not going to do anything?

I will start the actual meeting in a seperate Thread and this one will then be used for the OOC Thread. I will place the link in the same post I use to close the enrollment.

Greetings from Haeridan Base! We are informing you officially of our intent to send representatives to this meeting being held by our esteemed allies. Although to some, our technology does not precisely form to the category of Dimensional Tech, we believe Temporal Tech DOES harbor some of the more critical aspects of D-Tech and that our viewpoints would be a unique perpective on any problems and subsequent solutions you may have with this technology. We did not believe you would require references to our use of our technology, as it is widely known and respected by many that we possess and utilize this technology to the furthest extents possible with responsibility. If any references are needed, we shall find that amusing, but we will comply. We look forward to hearing back from you.

The curious warble in space time caused many alerts and raised eyebrows, and indeed many thought that it was a precursor to another Caleshan attack before it was noted by several that the signal was not coming from a superspace insertion but someone using it as a communications medium. To put a long story short a great many scientific minds in the Anarchist Collective to squeal like little schoolgirls with glee.

They hadn't thought of that.

Still, Godulan Mass Transmitters proved more than sufficient to glean the necessary data. Though the reaction was somewhat delayed, the Kython overlink between the two nations allowed for the response to travel instantaneously back to its origin. The identity of the responder would have been known instinctively to the recieving party as Baron Skye.

Greetings and salutations Emperor Nhur-Galladu. I find myself interested in this symposium that you are holding, and hereby express my desire to attend.

Science Vessel Rechthoffen:

"Sir, the reports from the latest test of the Mark XIV," reported a Lieutenant, a Spatial Anomalies specialist as denoted by the Black Hole pin on his left lapel. "The computer noticed a very slight variance in the field density ratios. A little checking led me to what seemed to be a dimensional signal pulse, propagating along the inherent energies of the STC. Everything's there," he said, holding out a small green holocrystal.

Comfortably seated in his grav-chair at the center of the bridge, Captain Merek von Oster nodded in acknowledgement and dismissed the junior officer. He inserted the Holocrystal into the chair's arm port and reviewed the information on the holoscreen that appeared before him.

Calling up the anomalous variance, Merek ran it against all known celestial phenomena capable of disrupting space in such a repetitive manner. Finding no matches, the Captain therefore had to assume the variance was caused by something man-made.

"Computer, analyze spatial variance pattern. Does variance repeat in predictable pattern?"

The response came in a short, high pitched whistle. The Captain hated computer-synthesized voices. Other than that of AI's, but his ship wasn't deemed important enough to necessitate one.

"Computer, analyze signal. Decode."

A moment later the Balroggan message appeared on his holoscreen.

"Ah... No wonder." The Captain let slip a thin smile. "Communications, inform High Command of the message. Also inform them that we will be responding so as to secure a place at the conference. From there, the Ministry of Naval Research can take over."

"Understood, sir," replied the officer at Comm. His hands flew over the control board and a few seconds later he reported, "Completed, Captain."

"Good," muttered the Captain. "Send this signal to the Balroggans." With that, the Captain transferred a paragraph he had written to Comm.

"Aye, sir."

Please note the two quotes from the first post. The message should lead you to the ships where you would theoretically present your qualifications. The links to the three Threads I requested should be included at the end of your arrival post.

Sorry about making this difficult, but I do want the top experts in FT to attend.

OOC: Ahem, I don't generally use the word Dimensional to describe my wares, as you know, Balrogga. But all my gravatic tech, etc., is based on manipulation of the STC. You have any suggestions of courses of action? I certain you know I have a large array of tech based on dimensional manipulation.

Merek had spent his off-duty hours pouring over the enclosed co-ordinates in the Balroggan message, and still couldn't make heads or tails of it. Which is why he'd called this conference.

The conference room was small, dominated by a drab steel table and 10 surrounding grav-chairs. Three of the chairs were occupied, one by Merek, another by the Spatial Anomalies Specialist who had compiled the analysis of the initial variance detection, and a Theoretical Engineer.

All three had a semi-distracted look upon their faces, the Engineer more so than the others. Two minutes had passed when the familiar whoosh of the automatic doors signaled the arrival of another.

"Sorry I'm late," a female voice stated apologetically.

Merek waived his left hand in dismissal. "No problem. Now we can begin," he said as the woman took a seat. "I recognize these strings as being dimensional markers," the Captain began without introduction. He assumed they had all read his memo. "However, our Fold drives are not designed to breach the STC. But," at this he pressed a button on the table before him. A hologram detailing the ship's AIQSM core appeared above the table as the lights in the room dimmed. He continued. "

Been so long since I've used dimensional tech overtly in a thread that I can't find the durn things in searches anymore :(

I remember you using them in the first Thread we participated in as well as the cross-dimensional war you were in before we even met.

That was more than 400 years ago.
