The year is 2016 in the U.K. All seems quiet on the islands, but one man is about to change all of that. His name is Winston Buckingham. He has seen the United States and their wealth and their powerful military. The USA, as they were called, was now the dominant sinlge superpower of the world, and had been so for 25 years after the fall of the Soviet Union. Winston now has a dream. He wishes to make the U.K. the great superpower it once was during the world wars. Doing so would require much wealth, but there was one family who had all that was needed to bring Britain money for the neccessary military projects, the monarchy. In order to achieve his dream, he would need to overthrow the so-called "monarchy" of Britain. It was hardly a monarchy though, the monarch only had a ceremonial role and took up a great deal of wealth that could be used to better the lives of the people. There was now a storm coming to Britain, and Winston would start it.......

Mayor Peter Richardson was in the prime of his political career and life. At 34 he was one of the youngest Mayors of Saint Helier ever and a popular figure about town. he had built up his political power base on the Island through his sporting activities and his dream.

His dream was of a Channel Islands Seperate from mainland Britian, no longer part of the Crowns domains. The 4 islands in the group: Jersey, Gurnsey, Alderny and Sark had home rule but where still technically part of the United Kingdom.

Like Cornwall and Yorkshrie Jersey had for many years boasted a strong inderpendence movment, the Islands had there own flags, there own language and there own local goverment yet still had to pay service to a bloated monacy in britian.

This would change. This had to change for the Islands own good and it would do soon. At the moment Britian was charged like a powder keg, Republican activity, Inderpendence movments and archanists all attempting to gain contol. Soon the whole place would explode and when that happened Mayor Peter Richardson would be ready and waiting.

Sir Alexander Jamieson sat at his desk staring out of the window at the cold grey sleat that draped Edinburgh in its gloomy cloak. He took another mouthful of coffee and turned back to the morning papers.

"hrrngmph" he snorted disgustedly as he read a report of a speech given at the republican rally that had been held the night before. All this nonsense about the supposed vast wealth of the monarchy and it's "purely ceremonial role" really irritated him.

His mood didn't improve when he flicked on his Bloomberg trading screen to see that the FTSE100 was due to open down 75 points on the back of continuing concerns about the political situation.

He turned up the sound on the video screen that was playing on the far wall and listened to an analyst giving a bullish report on Falklands Petroleum. He listened but lines from the paper and snatches of recent conversations crowded out the estimates of field size and development time.

Sir Alex was a man who'd risen to the top and built his fortune on being able to spot transformational changes long before they happened and he was deeply concerned that something was afoot and for the first time he didn't feel confident he could predict the outcome.

President McGrath sat in his office. He looked out the window, and sighed. Rain. He had recently managed to unify all of the IRAs. Those that didn't were destroyed. The govenment would no longer crack down on the freedom fighters. In fact, secretly, they were the official non-conventional force for the liberation of the Northern Counties. Soon, he would order them into action. They were already poised to attack.
-------------
Ten men, on different flights, stepped off theit planes into London. They went through security, and as they had no weapons, were allowed through. They secretly met up in an alley. They opened a cellar, and went inside. There they would wait. They sent out a message to the underworld: weapons wanted.
---
Ten other men in Belfast sat in the upstairs of a pub. They were smoking and playing cards. They had a small stash of weapons. Soon they would wreak havok against the British in Belfast. After all, there were more than ten of them in Belfast.

President Kirchner, who had been elected into officie for a second term due to the re-construction fo the economy, sat at his desk looking at the large pile of reports that his assistants had just given him. He picked up the first one, a report by the Ministry of Defense

He clicked his tounge in dissapointment. There was considerable improvement, but from what he saw was still not good. The boost to the economy had made training excellent, and all weapons, albeit old, are upgraded. The report also contained requests from each of the branches. The Army wants small arms and tanks, the Air Force helicopters and planes, and the Navy wants a carrier. Small arms, planes and a carrier could be arranged. The President thought With the economy on the upswing, it could be arranged.

The President put that one down, and picked up another folder, this one about current event. The Republican Party in Britian was gaining support, That should be interesting he wondered while reading the sheet. He read the whole report, informing him of the current world situation.

The opened yet another report, by the Ministry of the Economy. It showed the economy growing still, and money moving into Argentina. Ethanol production in the north has increased, a program very similar to Brazil's, with Oil Prices becoming ever higher, that will be good. he thought.

A pile of reports still rested on the desk
Its going to be a long morning ...

Winston Buckingham was returning from North Ireland and saw his impact on Britain proved to be working just as he thought. A year ago, he published a controversial pamphlet that stated that the only way for Britain to be great again, was to rid the country of its figure-head monarchy, if any British person called it such. Now there were Republican uprisings taking place throughout Britain, hearing this was all he needed to return to Britain and take up leadership. All he needed to do was find some followers, form a united republican stance against the monarchy, take power in the parliament wether by force or election, and make Britain a world power. He started by traveling to the underside of Britain to see if perhaps gang members could be swayed to his support. His limo parked in a backalley behind a building. He instructed his driver, "Stay right here Harold. I'll be back in a minute."

His driver answered, "Yes sir. I'll be waiting." Winston took out a breifcase and started walking down the streets looking for possible people to hire..........

Cpt Peter Franklin stood at the window of his London Apartment, something was seriously wrong. There had always been crackpots within the Political system calling for an end to monarchy and a republic to be formed.

Franklin was certainly not a monarchist, he didn't much care if they were there or not but his duty was to "queen and country" there fore he had made up his mind to side with the loyalists should a full blown revolution erupt.

He had arranged that a private telegram be sent to Sir Alexander Jameson, it said.

Sir,
You do not know me but I know you. You're loyalty to the monarchy has never been in doubt and now I fear that it may be put to the ultimate test. I am sure that you are aware of the Pro-Republican riots that have occured recently. It is my opinion that these riots are inevitably going to turn into a full scale revolution, I believe that you are a man who can stop that from happening. I ask that you present yourself the the Monarchy and the House of Commons, and state that these republicans are traitors and should be arrested, I also ask that you propose a bill to restore atleast half of the power to the actually monarchy. If the royal family are granted power then the Republicans will have no grounds to remove them without being shown as traitors to the crown.

I want things to remain as they are and I am sure that you feel the same. The man who will hand you this message is a Cpl Winters, I trust him with my life, hand him a return message, he will know where to find me.

Yours faithfully
Cpt Peter Franklin

"A job well done I assume?", asked the Elderly Grey-Haired man Casually into the reciever, "As usual, Remy, just go to Polly's, give my good tidings". A soft sigh escaped Sir James Halifax, personal secretary to the crown, for he missed the good old days when he was the head of the mysterious "13th floor", back when his services were more valuble than covering up the royal youth's scandels and dissdents like those bloody republicans would just keep quiet.

But be it as it may, political rivalry intervened and he soon found himself as personal secretary of the crown watching the back of few old wet towels and young idiots who weren't fit for the monarchy. Covering every affair (be it of heart or of fiscal interest) that can be imagined, the most thrill came when a pet was kidnapped and ransomed, of course it was his job that these stayed away from the public, but this was no problem considering he had contacts left over from the old days.

He promised himself that he would return to his former glory by acmplishing one last feat; the restoration of the Monarch, this is why he had taken it upon himself to be the mentor of the young Crown Prince for the last seven years, so that when he rises to the throne he rises with him, but first the prince must learn the lessons that his fathers had forgotten and to obtain the power to run the state.

He looked up from his notes irritably as the ‘phone rang “Sir Alec I’m very sorry to disturb you but there’s a soldier here who insists he simply must see you with the utmost urgency”.

“Very well, Penny send him in … oh and my coffee has gone cold perhaps you could bring me another, I take it you have offered our guest something?”

When his secretary showed the mysterious visitor into his office Sir Alexander took a moment to size him up before motioning him to take a seat.

“Now what is so urgent that you can’t make an appointment but come barging in here demanding to see me” he demanded

“oh thank you Penny” he said as his long-suffering secretary handed him a steaming cup of coffee.

The young Royal Marines officer did not reply immediately but opened his briefcase and handed over a sealed envelope entitled Sir Alexander Jamieson KT, DSO.

Sir Alec took the envelope and quickly read through the contents, twice before speaking.

“Corporal I’m afraid my parliamentary days are long behind me now but if I can’t speak myself in the House Commons or at Holyrood I do have friends there that might occasionally help me make myself heard – So I hope you don’t mind waiting while I make a couple of calls before giving Captain Franklin his reply.”

The first call he put it was to a young member of the new government, a rising star who had just been appointed as a Junior Minister in the Home Office.

“Ben, how’s your father . . .jolly good. Now listen Ben I think it’s time you started taking these Republican johnnies a little more seriously . . .you what? . . .no, no . . .no that won’t do at all. Let me draft you something, a short speech and . . . but of course you can . . .no of course not . .Defence and Security of the Realm, threat to national security that sort of thing. Listen Ben I know there’s a debate in the House tonight and if you use that as a platform to rally support and put in the bit I’ll send down I’m sure it’ll do your chances a power of good. . . .Thank you Ben”

“Corporal, please reassure Captain Franklin that I am very much of his mind that these traitors must be stopped. Tell him I’ll be down in London the day after tomorrow and I’d be delighted to meet him. I’ll be staying at The Caledonian Club.”

Franklin smiled a little when he heard of Jamesons planned visit to London, it would be a perfect oppurtunity him and make a plan to defuse the situation before it esclataed.

He spent those next few days working on notes and gather intelligence files on those he suspected to be behind the recent riots, he planned to show these to Jameson to see what could be done.

Although no longer a Marine as such Franklin and the men he had commanded now worked as "quiet monitors" as the intelligence services called them. Their main task was to make sure that situations like this did not blow up and cause embaressment to the government. He was prepared to kill if necessary but he hoped that Jameson would be able to come through for him and help to stop the revolution before it started.

He entered the Caledonian Club at the time that had been arranged, he approached Jameson and, standing behind him, said in a calm voice "Sir Alec? I am Cpt Franklin"

"Ah Captain Franklin how good of you to join us. I'd like you to meet my personal assistant Captain Mark Robb. Mark used to be in the Ghurkhas and we got to know each other back in the Falklands"

The lean, smartly dressed man opposite rose from his seat to shake Franklin warmly by the hand.

"Now gentlemen I suggest that before we get down to business a fresh pot of coffee is in order"

"This afternoon I have a number of meetings including a trip to the House so see young Ben Bradshaw. What did you make of his speech by the way?" . . ."All the major papers seemed to have carried reports on it,” he added grinning.

"The other person I think I really should get in touch with is old Halifax. haven't seen the bugger in years but no-one knows the inner workings of the palace better. Will you give him a call Mark and see if you can't arrange something".

"Focus, Lad" commanded the elderly secretery while avoiding the blade, he was much satified by the progress of the young monarch, he was learning what is nessecery to emerge triumphant in a fight.

"What's the matter boy?! can't beat an old man even after years of training?!", much satisfied indeed, this lad had grasped the true nature of a swordsman.

"You are a failure!", still no response, it is amazing how this person had transformed from the whimpering whipper-snapper to this cold swordmaster, all taunts bounced off his thick-skin and he would waste no breath against a likewise thick-skinned opponent.

Finally after a long while amongst the watch of the much intrigued audiance, the Old Chap was delighted to find the sabre at his throught and with proud eyes came the statement: "I yield". The audience filled the with applause and the Prince was congratulated by his majesty. Everything was as it should.

However amidst this celebration, a message for Sir Halifax arrived, apparantly from an old friend, a very old friend.

A return note was sent:
"Will come by when I can, same usual spot. JH"

Described in the bible of London eateries & waterholes that is Squaremal as being decorated with "Enough tartan to keep a convention of Bay City Rollers fans happy". Boisdale's is a charmingly eccentric place whose garish decor frightens away the uninitiated and gives the place a very clubby feel.

Sir Alexander Jamieson sat at his usual table hidden away in the corner by the entrance from where he was was close enough to the band but still able to survey his fellow dinners without being oberserved.

Winston was fairly pleased with today's progress. As of now, the Saber gang was his to control, a number of 40 gang members. He decided that the best way to find larger gangs would be to drive around so that they would attempt to rob Winston. Winston walked back to his limo and instructed, "Take a drive around the city Harold, if anyone does anything to this limo, be sure to pull over."

Harold answered, "Understood sir." and back out onto the street and started driving around the empty city. It was night time now, and gangs were sure to come out some time.

Although, there is word that a few of the undersides are looking for an oppertuinity to join the upcoming fray, tempting but there still remain the question of reliability and deniability.

As for the SBS chaps, I happen to know this Colonel who might know the whereabouts of your comrades in arms. I think I shall give him a call and introduce you.

A forign visit you say? might be worth it if things are as grim as I hear, unfortunately the PM has put it to his head that I am fixing on getting back at him for removing me from my position, the barking buffoon, therefore I have no detailed knowledge on how far has this despicable situation has gotten to.

But if things have driven you into contacting me then I think I shall make arrangements for a royal journey to visit our commonwealth allies, In the mean times I am afraid I shall have to use a more threatening tone on my old friends, a shame to forgo the old favor system but things might be desperate."

36 hours had passed since Winston last checked on Jordan. Winston went back down to his hidden basement and went to see Jordan's progress. He asked Jordan, "Is everything ready Jordan?"

Jordan answered, "Yes sir. You are now linked to every radio and television in the entire U.K. The listeners and viewers wont even be able to change their channels without hearing your speech and nor will they find out where your broadcasting from."

Winston took out the speech he had prepared for the last three weeks and uploaded the speakers function from the computer. Everything was now ready, and Winston could give his speech to the U.K.

Winston clicked the final icon that would gain him access to the entire U.K. media, and began speaking to the U.K.

"My fellow Britains. The time has come for us to take this island and shape it into the grand power it was destined to become. I have sparked within all of you the will to form the future republic, for it was I who wrote the pamphlet that the current government has banned. If you recall the title, it is "The Rise of Power, The Fall of the Monarch". The government now fears the republicans who shall form this island into a world power! That is why I ask all fellow British brothers and sisters in arms to come forth and demand what we truly ask of out land, Britian is to become a republic! The parliament fears change, and the so-called "Queen of Britain" refuses to step down! With these road-blocks in place, Britian cannot become a world power, we need control over both, and to show that the will of Britain comes not from the false monarchy of Britain, but from the will and desires of the people! If all who hear this speech desire the same that I do, you are trully patriotic to this nation! Those who desire to keep the monarchy in power, you are only pure conservatives who fear change and wish to keep Britain from achieving its true glory! Now I ask all of you to follow me and we shall dismantle the current parliament and build Britain into the world power it is meant to be! All British must come forth and enter this revolution against the parliament and depose the Queen, lest they be cowardice like the parliament with change! Only then shall we as British show that we desire only what is best for our country! I ask you all to follow these words with pride and inspiration, and one day, Britian will become the power it was meant to become!"

With the final words, Winston ended the speech and the media programs continued with their usual routine broadcasts.

The Queen, always first and foremost a practical lady, lost little time in making a broadcast to the nation of her own. The following speech was broadcast live from The House of Commons at the start of an emergency debate on how best to deal with the new threat to the state.

"Since 1952 I have witnessed the transformation of the international landscape through which this country must chart its course, the emergence of the Commonwealth, the growth of the European Union, the end of the Cold War, and now the dark threat of international terrorism.

This has been matched by no less rapid developments at home, in the devolved shape of our nation, in the structure of society, in technology and communications, in our work and in the way we live. Change has become a constant; managing it has become an expanding discipline. The way we embrace it defines our future.

It seems to me that this country has advantages to exploit in this exciting challenge. We in these islands have the benefit of a long and proud history. This not only gives us a trusted framework of stability and continuity to ease the process of change, but it also tells us what is of lasting value. Only the passage of time can filter out the ephemeral from the enduring.

And what endure are the characteristics that mark our identity as a nation and the timeless values that guide us. These values find expression in our national institutions - including the Monarchy and Parliament - institutions which in turn must continue to evolve if they are to provide effective beacons of trust and unity to succeeding generations.

I believe that many of the traditional values etched across our history equip us well for this age of change. We are a moderate, pragmatic people, more comfortable with practice than theory. With an off-shore, seafaring tradition we are outward-looking and open-minded, well suited by temperament - and language - to our shrinking world.

We are inventive and creative - think of the record of British inventions over the past sixty years or our present thriving arts scene. We also take pride in our tradition of fairness and tolerance - the consolidation of our richly multicultural and multifaith society, a major development since 1952, is being achieved remarkably peacefully and with much goodwill.

But there is another tradition in this country which gives me confidence for the future. That is the tradition of service. The willingness to "honour one another and seek the common good" transcends social change. Over these fifty years on visits up and down this country I have seen at first hand and met so many people who are dedicating themselves quietly and selflessly to the service of others.

I would particularly pay tribute to the young men and women of our armed forces who give such professional service to this country often in most demanding and dangerous circumstances. They have my respect and admiration.

I also wish to express my gratitude for the work of those in the public service more widely - here in Westminster or the corridors of Whitehall and town halls, as well as in our hospitals and schools, in the police and emergency services. But I would especially like to thank those very many people who give their time voluntarily to help others.

These enduring British traditions and values - moderation, openness, tolerance, service - have stood the test of time, and I am convinced they will stand us in good stead in the future.

For my part, as I travel the length and breadth of these islands, I would like to thank people everywhere for the loyalty, support, and inspiration you have given me over these sixty-four, unforgettable years. I would like to express my pride in our past and my confidence in our future. I would like above all to declare my resolve to continue, with the support of my family, to serve the people of this great nation of ours to the best of my ability through the changing times ahead.

And to those who seek to belittle our proud nation, its history, culture and achievements I say to you that you sorely underestimate britain and it’s people."

OOC: This is the text of a speech given by her majesty on the occassion of her Golden Jubillee at Westminster Hall, 30 April 2002 and I have made only minor edits as I think HMQ is more than capable of speaking for herself in this case.

Winston was in his limo again when he heard the Queen's adress and chuckled at what she was saying. "The silly woman.... Traditions don't prepare anything for the future, only hold it back. Well... No sense in trying to correct her when I don't have the power to do so.... at least not yet." Winston took out his cellphone and called the leader of the Saber gang. "Hello Ivan.... Yes I have a job for you today..... I want you to take your gang and storm the police station in the city...... Yes, and I even sent you a hidden weapon stash, it will more than handle well with the police..... It will cause a little chaos just to show the Queen who she's dealing with..... Wonderful. I'll talk to you later.... So long." Winston was very pleased with his achievment. Even if the gang failed to destroy the police station, the government would be criticized for not being able to keep gang attacks at bay. If it succeeded, the city would be thrown into so much chaos, people would blame the government for not being prepared. Winston was ready for his trip to London and waited to see what the outcome of the gang attack would be...

Franklin and his "Unit" had remained unusually quiet over the course of the past few days, things had proceeded quicker that he had feared. The Monarchy was on the verge of collapse, he hated politics but the Republicans made a far stronger case that the Queen did, the young "angry" generation who didn't hold the British beliefs to heart would likely flock to the Republican cause after this.

He ordered Cpl Winters to get in touch with Sir Jameson once again.

Sir,
Up to this point I have only been partly honest with you. I am a Captain but I am not a Marine, in fact I do not technically exist.

I am a member of the SAS Urban Reponse Unit [SASURU]. We have been assigned to the city of London in response the growning republican threat. I have chosen to be honest with you now because I believe now is the time for action. I put myself and my men at your disposal.

Daniel Platt had always wondered why he'd decided to buy a property in the Aylesbury Vale. It was just so quiet. Yeah, so it was less of a drive to get his Marshall amps from the factory. Yeah, so he could play his guitar as loud as he liked without any neighbours to complain. But he'd been out of the loop for too long. It had been many years since he'd done something truly shocking - a long time from his days on the punk rock scene, when as "Danny Vomit" he had been the scourge of police and gig organisers alike. He chuckled as he reminisced about the time he'd replaced Gerry's drumskins with sheet elastic. Poor sod's arms were flailing about all over the place trying to control them drumsticks.

***

A great man once said "The revolution will be televised." Or something like that, anyway. Still, seeing someone openly denouncing the monarchy - on the BBC - was something to catch you by surprise. This might explain the shower of beer and mozzarella that showered Danny's TV screen as he spat out the contents of his mouth in disbelief.

"Gutsy bastards!"

He needed to get back on the scene. This was an oppurtunity to raise hell that he owed to Danny Vomit.

The media, especially the tv channels who had been hi-jacked by the rogue broadcast, were unanmious in their condemnation of the republican movement. British deomcracy was used to the occasional lunatic spouting drivel but at least these had been elected lunatics. This latter-day Lord Haw-haw, this self-appointed meddler in constitutional affairs got very short-shrift indeed from the press.

Catch this traitor! screamed the Sun headline

A dark hour for Britsh Democracy warned The Times

Off with his Head demanded The Telegraph

Sir Alec took a sip of coffee and settled down to the morning papers. His pa Captain Robb had already been through them and prepared a file of clippings.

Overnight there has been rioting in Manchester where a republican rally in the town centre sparked a counter-demonstration by Mancunian's loyal to their queen. 12 people are reported injured and a further 32 arrested.

In London police crowds of People gathered outside Buckingham Palace waving Union Jack flags and royal standards. Wellington barracks (just adjacent to Buckingham palace) has been placed on full alert and the usual civilian patrols of the Palace have been augmented by armed soldiers. Snipers have taken up position on all the commanding heights in the area.

Across Britain this morning armed police have carried out a co-ordinated series of raids against people they suspect of being involved in the latest round of republican activity. 23 people have been arrested and documents and computers have been taken away for examiniation.

When Sir Alec read the message from Captain Franklin he wasted no time in replying. "Hunt them down - do whatever is neccessary".

"Captain Robb I want to know what GCHQ have got on that mysterious broadcast. They must have been able to track its source so I suspect it must be on the list of places the police hit this morning . . . oh and can you get a message to Sir James Halifax, 'Jolly good show Old Chap' , thank you Mark"

Stratford Chaos
Police Rage War With Unprovoked Gangs

This was what the news had added on the front page beside the recent Republican Broadcast. 21 police gaurds and 9 gang members were killed and 11 more gang members were brought into custody but managed to deal a great blow to secruity in the city. 450,000 pounds in damage were dealt to the police stations and could require government funding for being rebuilt. Franklin read the reply and smiled, he took a sip of coffee and stood up with the paper under his arm and walked down the street as calm as anyone around him, he listened to the conversations and almost everyone was talking about the violence, most condemned it but and uncomfortably high minority agreed with is, saying that it would be the only way forward.

Franklin went into an office building and down to the basement. He was greeted by two armed guards, he flashed an ID badge and was allowed into a room that lead off from the basement.

He put down the newspaper.

"Right men, Jameson has given us the Green Light, Operation Ninja is a go, you all know your roles, make the Republicans dissapear. Start at the bottom, local rabble rousers, anti-monarchist politicians that sort of thing, we need to take out the foundations of this movement before it gets out of hand, you all have your target lists and your briefings, move quickly and quietly, I want a minimal amount of blood spilt in public, remember the watchword boys 'accidents do happen', go to it"

With that his men all stood up and left, they were the best fighting men in the country but no one knew that they even existed, the Republicans would soon find out however.

That night 13 Republican leaders went missing, they were small time, the sort of men who spoke in Hyde Park and lead the street gangs that had caused so much damage.

It was not a crippling blow but the Republicans would feel it none the less

Winston looked up at his butler and asked, "What's the matter Harold?"

Harold told him, "Thirteen of the Republican leaders have gone missing and are now on the run for the actions of what recently happened in Stratford."

Winston was impressed by this. He knew that if the leading Republicans were captured, he would be in a great deal of trouble if he was identified. However, he had the perfect escape plan should this ever happen. He ordered Harold, "Call for the airport Harold. Have my jet ready to fly me to Thruso tommorow morning."

He answered, "Understood sir." and left to call the airport. Once again, Winston would be on the run to avoid being arrested by the British government. But this time, he would not leave Britain, he had to take control of Britian at all costs. He would not be intimidatted by what officials were doing to him, but he would not let them have his head.

Sir,

Although the attacks on the Republicans have met with success we need more. I would ask that you do everything in your power to find the location of the Republican leader, it is clear to me that it is an Autocratic movement, very few men outside the inner circle know what is going on for longer than a week or two, we have been able to use information gathered during interrogation to ID some leading figures but they will be hard to get to to without a legal backing.

"Ah Andy, Sir Alec has been hoping that you would call. He is in a meeting at the moment but I know he will be eager to speak to you - if you'll permit me I'll put you on hold for a moment" Captain Robb hesitated when he placed the call on hold before dialling through to the conference room.

The large room took up the top floor of an imposing building midway down Princes Street in Edinburgh. The large windows, which opened out onto a balcony, gave an impressive view of the Castle brooding threateningly above the city from its rock.

Around the solid oak table that ran the length of the room sat a gathering of some of the most influential people in Scotland and the whole United Kingdom. The Royal Company of Archers number some 530 people in all, elected by their peers, from all walks of life with the common thread between them that these were men of achievement, men who had sworn to do their utmost to protect their sovereign. At this governing council sixteen of their most senior members gathered including the Chief Executive of a global banking corporation, the President of the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland the Chief Constable Lothian & Borders, two senior judges, Admiral Sir Michael Rose (Commanding Officer of Faslane Naval base), Major General Colville DSO, MC, (Commanding Officer of The Royal Regiment of Scotland), Air Vice-Marshal Sir Peter Nicholson.

"My fellow Archers I have called this meeting of the Council to discuss the current republican threat” Began Sir Alec as he addressed the assembled company. “This country has faced republican terrorist threats before, most notably from the IRA and its various splinter groups” this was greeted with growls of acknowledgement and mutterings that would make Irish ears glow.

“I have taken steps to ensure that this new challenge to our cherished nation will fail just as past threats have, however going forward I may need the help and support of you all”

The chorus of approval was interrupted by the warbling of a conference ‘phone.

“I’m sorry to interrupt you sir but I have that call you have been waiting for shall I put through or would you prefer to take it in your office”

“Gentlemen would you excuse me for a moment”

Secret Meeting of the Commonwealth

"Thank you Mr. Prime Minister" replied Sir Halifax, "Gentlemen, I thank you all for coming, this is a dark time for the Kingdom as you all have heard through the British Media that several areas in the Kingdom have descended into Anarchy, although her Majesty's Secret Service have been to neutralise much of the suspected leadership of this insurection, the Anarchists are not showing signs of subsiding, We fear that this is the work of a hidden force that has been planning this for a long time."

"The Rebels fashion themselves "Republicans" although their only main goals Are:

-Remove Her Majesty by Force.
-Bring back Britain to her former greatness.

As you can see there is nothing "Republican" in these claims, her Majesty and her family has been the leading supporters and foundation of all our Democratic Governments, To "Return Britain to her former Glory" bids a more sinister touch of Militaristic Fascist approach.

We of the goverment of the United Kingdom have arranged this meeting, to ask for your possibly needed assistance in facing this threat which might not threaten just the Honourable British way of Life but also the entire region and maybe worse.

Several members of the royal family has relocated to Canada, But remains boldly as ever on the frontlines in the true bold British fashion, but I fear for her health and age."

The Police stepped up their monitoring of republican anarchists and began to share the information they had gained in their earlier raids with other agencies. It was noted that some of the dead "terrorists" were actually known gang-members with existing criminal records.

MI5 Britain's internal security service were instructed to give tracking down and eliminating the anarchist republican threat the highest priority and began a programme of inentsive surveillance of all known republican sympathisers and those with known involvement in the London gang scene.

Franklin was pleased with the progress the SASURU had beem making. 3 more Repbulican goons had been made to talk then executed in yet more "accidents". He had now heard of a new player in the game, a man sent to track down and assasinate the Republican Leader and blame it on "external powers" this could spark a global crisis and Franklin was not about to let that happen.

He sent out a message through his contacts in various parts of the UK

"Find this man, bring him in and discover his motives, we don't need a war here"

When captain Robb got Franlkin's message he replied immediately.

We are all on the same side. We must work together to defeat the anarchist menace. Please do not do anything to hinder out Welsh friend. We must all do what we can in our different ways.

When he had sent that message out he began syatematically to go through the leads that his contacts at MI5 and GCHQ had come up with.

Meanwhile in an East London Pub undercover journalist Peter Jackson was sharing a dink (or two) with his new best friend Mikey "Muscles" Macguire one of gangland's toughest hitmen. Mikey it turns out had a prodigious memory for faces and cars and soon he was telling Jackson all about his meeting with a strange sounding posh-type who'd hired them to attack the police station. As soon as he left he called Scotland Yard with a detailed description of the republican ring-leader and the number plate of his limo.

It didn't take long for Scotland Yard's finest to leap into action and a trawl of CCTV records confirmed that the car had been in London that night. A cross check with DVLA reords revealed the car was licensed to a Mr Winston Buckingham. The police passed on the information to MI5 and issued an APB that if anyone saw this car they were to report it immediately and await instructions.

Franklin was monitoring Police transmissions and naturally he decided to act on it, he issued a similar message to his men in cities across Britain.

"Men, this vehicle has been tracked back to Winston Buckingham, if this vehicle is identified whilst in transit you are ordered to apprehend those inside, if anyone inside the vehicle is indentified as Buckingham you have permission to shoot on sight if he resists. If he offers no resistance, bring him in, DO NOT HARM HIM."

Winston had arrived in Thurso and was walking down the street. He knew that with so many Republican leaders caught, the government would be intent on capturing whoever sparked them. The police would arrest him in an instant if he asked for their help, so he decided to find another gang to protect him from the government. Later that day, Winston found a gang of young Scottish gang members who wanted to turn Britain into a Republic also. He paid them a good amount of money to persuade them to follow him and was given residence in a run down building that wasn't planned for demolition. Winston called for Harold to meet him at the same building for his own protection.

Franklin knew that Winston would run like a frightened rabbit once he knew that the Government were onto him, he also knew that the Police wouldn't protect him if he went to them. The trick was to find out who would protect him. It would most likely be gangs, paid men who could be frightened just as easily.

He arranged for a message to spread through the underworld, it was simple but effective.

"Beware, The SAS are hunting Winston Buckingham"

Winston was finding fewer places to run to because of the Governments searchings. Revolutionizing the country would become much harder to do if every police force in Britain was after him. He ultimately decided that possibly the best way to stir up a great amount of chaos in Britain would be an assassination of a royal family member or several if possible. He had the gang hide down in a hidden basement that would make the police think no one was in the building. Down there, bombs were in the process of being built in boxes that would fit in their pockets and explode in a 10 foot radius.

The question now was how to get to Buckingham Palace to kill the Queen and her family. He could attempt to take a plane to fly one into the Palace, but he would need a much larger force to overwhelm the police to take a plane. Winston decided he would have to keep moving south through Scotland and find more gangs to build up unrest in the country. He would also have to keep his name annonymous and make it seem he was no longer in action.

He decided that he would start a rumor by making it appear that he commited suicide. He had a gang member kill someone who appeared similar to him and threw him on the street with a bullet in his head. Once the news spread out about his death, or faked death if the police discover the corpse to be false, it would be safer for him to leave Thurso and start finding city after city to extract gangs from. He now had a total of 40 gang members under his control since 20 had previously been killed or jailed. He had to get moving once the news was out, and so would Harold and the gang.

Franklin was becoming frustrated, for every man that was brought in there seemed to be 10 more waiting to take his place.

There were also no leads as to Buckinghams actually location, for the first time since joining SASURU Franklin had no idea what to do next. He issued similar orders everyday.

"Keep the police frequencies open and observe for Buckinghams car".

Frankling sat down and sighed, he read the newspaper the headlines were the usually drivel about celebrities and their sexual antics, he sighed and threw the newpaper onto the fire, watching as it burned away, and as it did it revealed a different story "Buckingham Suicide?".

Frankling jumped forward and took the paper from the flames, burning his hand as he did, he curse allowed and sucked his toasted fingers, reading what was left of the report he sat down again and smiled.

Winston was able to safely leave Thurso and could soon begin his plans for the royal family of Britain. He had a plan for taking the plane into Buckingham Palace, it was a performance similar to the September 11 attacks 15 years ago. However, he was able to gaurantee the pilot's safety once he stole two parachutes so the pilots could escape before the crash, which would allow the pilots to take the job more enthusiastically. He only had to get to Cambridge and he would have little trouble crashing a plane into Buckingham Palace. It would take four days by truck to reach there and would have to make sure the gang members could not be discovered along the way. Harold was now traveling in a truck that contained electronic entertainment devices and kept the gangs and Winston well hidden during the drive to Cambridge.

Franklin was recieving reports from all over the country about various thuggish attacks. He was on edge, at any moment there could be an attack and it would slip right past him.

He gave the order to set up roadblocks around all major towns, the east of england wasn't on the priority but he was in Peterborough as part of a team monitoring the traffic going into the Eastern Areas.

He recieved an interesting tip-off about an van that had an unusual amount of electrical activity. Franklin Mobilised a team of his men to track down this van and stop it.

He intercepted the van 3 miles outside of Cambridge, his men surround the van and order those who were inside to come out with their hands on their head.

Franklin cursed and pushed Harold over, putting a foot on his chest and aiming his rifle at his head "you're under arrest".

Meanwhile the Soldiers threw a Flashbang grenade into the back of the truck and entered it, bringing the other men out as they were shouting various profanities at the SAS men, the were dragged out and cuffed to each other then put under guard at the side of the road.

With such a major prison break, the Royal Family and the Prime Minister would have to leave with such a great increase in violence. Winston contacted Frankiln telling him, "Captain, good work with the police, but now it is time to move on to pushing the Government Officials out of Britain. Your men are to now release the prisoners of Wormwood Scrubs and see that as many of them are freed as possible. Prison guards do not carry fire arms so minimal casualties are expected, also don't kill any guards unless it is completely unavoidable. Don't let on that you're soldiers, we're gang members for this one, alright? Lets move out"

The attack came at a little after Midnight the main gate was hit by an RPG and then smashed through with a heavy duty truck. Franklin and his men moved in quickly, one team heading for the generator, destroying it to cut the power. Franklin lead the man team into the prison, taking down the gurads with non-lethal methods.

The actual break occured at 1am when the doors were opened one by one by the team. By 2 am it was over, the prison was empty save for the unconcious guards.

The Morning news reported it as a massive and organised gang attack to free certain elements of an Eastern European gang, they said that the Home Office was not releasing details on who was released.

As the sun began to rise he contacted Buckingham "Sir, we were followed back from the Wormwood Operation. We were able to lose out immediate tails but it is possible that the relevant security services have compromised out locations. We need to move now or we may lose the intiative."

President Abdul Kalam recieves messages from the fleet about the recent attack on a local prison.
"These cannot be gangs, they are to well conceived. I believe it is a hired mercenary force or a outside speical ops force."
"Those are good guesses but without evidence to back it up then we can't do anything. But we could put troops on the ground, that would scare these rebels."
"No, I told the Prime Minister I wouldn't land any troops unless the country was out of his control."
"Well that hasn't happened yet sir."
"Have we heard from the United States?"
"No sir."
"Has High Commissioner Sen been able to contact the President?"
"No, he can't reach him either."
"The time that we must act is growing closer, and we can't reunite the whole of the United Kingdom without their help."
