For Those Who Merely Watch (Your Nation's Responses to the Kraven Civil War)

We'd all heard the stories of Kraven. Hell, some mothers even scared their children with the monstrosity's specter. If you don't do your chores, the Capitol Police will get you. Things like that. They'd ravaged a good part of our land in Arterus too. And they'd shown no signs of stopping. So when the news of the civil war came, it was a complete shock.

Excerpt from a History Channel program on the Kraven Civil War

Chandra rubbed the bridge of her nose as she viewed the last of the reports. Then her eyes, which had been drooping, snapped open. Kraven? Civil war? How had this ended up on the bottom of the pile?

More importantly, would would she do about it? She couldn't afford to support Heghlan, in case Kraven won. So what to do indeed? She could only watch, and wait, and hope that Father fell.

She picked up one of the many phones on her desk, and dialed a number.

"Blak? Send all free satellite surveillance to Kraven lands. No, I'm not worried about reprisals. They've got other things to worry about.

If you came too late to actually get involved, you can post here to show how your leaders or people are reacting.

On the tarmac, Airbase Alpha
Provisional Capital City, Irathrian ChevyRocks

In the mid-day sunlight, the white paint of the great beast was almost blinding. Anybody could see where it was at Airbase Alpha, the primary airport of ChevyRocks' Irathrian colony. What was more difficult, though, was determining what it was without losing one's vision. All the Valkyries did that sort of thing. In fact, they all looked pretty much the same too, same white paint, same aircraft design, hell...the only things that were different on the outside were the identification markings. If it weren't for the recon equipment onboard this plane, one of the new RB-70s, it would have been the same thing as the pure bomber version.

Now lined up on the runway, anyone on the airport grounds and some distance further could hear the six huge jets cycle up and howl. Even with the brakes locked, the thrust was enough to drag the tires forward. Knowing this, the plane's flight crew released the brakes and began the takeoff run. At first, not much happened, but eventually the 570,000 pound monster starting racing down the tarmac and began it's rotation. Soon after it was in the air and retracting it's landing gear, as if gravity were merely an option.

There had been an increased number of sorties with the RB-70s as of late, specifically, monitoring the border in the west with Kraven-held territory. Rumor was that some sort of civil war was breaking out in the Kraven lands, so the recon flights were going up to make sure it didn't spill over the border. So far, nothing unusual was found, which was a good thing. The Johanson administration did not want to get involved at all, but they hoped that maybe Kraven would become a bit more sane at the end of all this.

Emperor Christian Victor knew what he saw. It was two Kraven battle ships. Firing upon one another.

This was most unexpected, to say the least.

He would have to watch events as they unfolded, and he knew just the medium through which to do it. Charles Mantel was still in Urbs Insula, so Christian reached for his phone. He had a certain assignment for him.
