The Great Palace of Veragonia was ready for a ball. In fact, one would be going on tonight. Queen Janet would be the host. Walking down the Mosaical Hall, she came upon the mosaic of her father and she said ''I will rule Veragonia. I will make you proud, father.'' She looked at other mosaics and admired the art.

She bumped into Minister Alexander who said ''Your Majesty, the ball is all ready. Only a few things are being fixed up.'' Janet smiled and went to the ball room with the minister. She liked how the ball room was set up and she said ''We will make this ball a grand one.''

Janet knew in this ball she may find herself a suitor for marriage. Two had already come forward but there was always room for more. Janet dressed in formal attire and waited in the ball room.

Minster Alexander went and wrote up this notice:

''To all nations,
Veragonia is holding a ball in its capital, in the Great Palace tonight. All interested should come to the ball. Many things have been set up for it. Also, all prospective suitors may get a chance to meet the Queen.

Gabriel Irro had travelled to Vergonia when he heard that Queen Janet was hosting a ball. Getting dressed in formal garb, making sure he was clean-shaven and neatly groomed, he travelled to the palace to meet his possible future wife.

When Gabriel arrived at the palace, he was greeted by Minister Alexander (a child hood friend of Janet). ''Welcome to the ball. May you tell me your name?'' Alexander said, holding a list. ''Are you Gabriel Irro? The Queen expects you and the suitor from Siap to attend, not that she is demanding, she only thought you would.''

Andreas Frea heard of the Ball in Veragonia and even the possible chance of meeting and perhaps marying the Queen. He decided to wear his white suit and baby blue shirt with a blue tie. Maybe tonight he would find love

When Andreas Frea came, he was greeted by Minister Alexander. ''Welcome to the ball. You are?'' Alexander said politely, wanting to know who the man was. He was trying to talk to Gabriel and Andreas at the same time.

Some of the Veragonian nobility would attend the ball, children included. Many were already in the ball room, talking and discussing and the such. Janet was thinking about the foreign attendees of the ball and what they could be like.

"I am Andreas Frea good sir. I am from Londim and cousin of Londims President. But I seem to be interrupting. I will wait while you talk to this other gentleman."

Andreas stood aside to allow the other gentleman to speak.

"Yes I am, and I am here because it is a chance to meet her Majesty." Gabriel replied

Minister Alexander nodded and said ''Welcome, Mr. Frea. It is nice you could attend.'' Then he went back to Gabriel, waiting for a response.

Alexander nodded and said ''Gabriel, Andreas, you two may go to the ball room.'' Some guards escorted them to the ball room. Janet noticed them coming in and a greeter said ''Welcome to the ball. Make yourselves at home. The Queen is over there on her seat.'' He pointed to the Queen who looked dazzling in her attire.

Janet at the time was watching the men coming in as she was talking to a cousin of hers.

"Thank you." Gabriel replied to Alexander as he and Andreas entered the ballroom and were greeted.

Janet looked at Gabriel and said ''Greetings. Welcome to my ball. You look well dressed for tonight.'' Her cousin, only 13, looked at Gabriel and bowed respectfully.

Although Janet was an only child, she had a large extended family.

Andreas noticed the Queen. She was beautiful. Andreas became slightly nervous.

"How could someone as beautiful as her ever marry me?", thought Andreas.

When the two came together, Janet said to Gabriel and Andreas ''What are the names of you young men? I am Queen Janet of Veragonia, but I'm sure you know that. And this girl beside me is my cousin, Violet.'' Violet bowed respectfully to Andreas as he came.

OOC-This is open to all. Anyone can come and attend this ball. Also, Theao and Londim, you can interact with anyone at the ball. Some of the nobility and Janet's extended family are attending.

"Thank you for the invitation." He replied as he returned the cousin's bow with equal respect and formality. "My name is Gabriel Irro. It is nice to meet you Janet and Violet."

"Good evening Your Majesty and Miss Violet. I am Andreas Frea of Londim and may I say I am honoured to attend this ball."

''It is no problem. It is nice to meet you too, Mr. Irro.'' Janet said, Violet saying the same. ''And you are?'' Janet said nicely to Andreas. Violet watched the two men, she thought they were pretty nice people.

"Good evening Your Majesty and Miss Violet. I am Andreas Frea of Londim and may I say I am honoured to attend this ball."

"May I request a dance?" Gabriel asked Violet as it was appearent that Janet prefered to do a meet and greet at the moment rather than dance at the moment.

Violet looked at Gabriel and said ''A dance with you would be great.'' Janet wanted to greet all the people who came, not that she was rude or anything (OOC-She would want to dance, but Janet wants to greet, etc people at the moment). Violet took Gabriel to the dance floor and they began dancing. ''You dance well. You've must have learned.'' Violet said as they danced.

''It is a long story as to how I am.'' Lucian said. He talked to a little girl in a dress before looking back at Andreas ''I am a relative of the Queen but as I said, it is a long story.''

"And how did you find out your cousin was looking for a suitor?" He asked with a smile, "But yes I am. Do you approve?"

Cold eyes met the Minister and Korath stood up straight to speak with him, though in truth he hated being forced to break his silence to any other than the Emperor. Still, he gave the man the traditional high introduction of the Vale "Lord Korath of Wallace", his voice cold and grizzled. "Third of his name, Ruler of Stone Vale, and King of the Borderlands". Behind him, a large black and white Husky came up silently and joined him at his heel. "He invited as well?" he gave a curt shrewd gesture of his head toward the dog. Vale custom called for every King to travel with a war hound, yet southern folk were often queer about animals in the pressence of "high company".

A quick nod in reply to the one offerring him welcome and he strode past the man, his war hound padding along behind him silently. A few long strides brought him infront of The Emperor and he removed his helm before genuflecting infront of him "King of the North and Blood of the First men. To the rise of a Red Vale and Autumn Stone" the old greeting recited easily enough, though it had been sometime since he'd last said it.

"Alright." He replied before providing Violet with the information she wished.

After Violet got her info, Violet said ''Anything else you want to talk about?'' She continued to eat as she talked to Gabriel.

The Queen was at her own table, eating her food and watching the ball unfold.

''That is ok. You may have mistaken me and I guess you can have my drink. I can get a new one.'' the girl said. The girl looked at him and said ''Perhaps you'd want to talk with me at a table, over some food?'' She said this nervously.

If he had been drinking, dumah would have spit it out all over the table as he was struck by the older, powerfull man. He began laughing heartily along, taking care to stroke the head of the dog between them.
