I've been wondering, would something like a godfather thread work? I'm just using The Godfather as an example, but somethin where each player has his only family, or mob, whatever ya wanna call it. And they fight for control of a city.

I had a thread based off the Godfather. It was going quite well until people just lost interest.

I was in a thread like that, but it fell apart. If you're doing one, I'll be interested. Go German Mafia!

I'm up for a mafia rp. And I resent the notion that La Cosa Nostra is a proper mafia. Quite frankly, I'd argue that they were improper, as there organization was excessively brutal and did not transition easily into legitimate society. The Irish mobs transitioned into legitimate society and a gained a lot of political power.

But yeah, I'm up for a mafia rp.

technically 'mafia' is a Sicilian term (Turkish, actually-meaning safe place, came into use when the Corleonesi started repelling the Turkish invaders) but regardless, it would be a good idea to start the thread or the sign up. This could be the sign up, if you want.
