Political background of country: The country has had a very liberal background since its founding 560+ years ago. Free-market.
Historical background of country: The nation was founded in the mid 1800's as a constitutional monarchy with strong liberal leanings. In the mid 1900's a civil war between the founding Curonians and the ruling Atronites raged on for 28 years before becoming a representative democracy, where an Atronite won the election. During this time another civil war broke out between the Curonians and Atronites once again, this time separating the land into two. The Atronite side was renamed Maraque. The Maraquean nomads spread across the globe eventually ruling as much as 260 million square miles of land. Today the Empire spans over 1.1 billion square miles with little or no conflicts, and eventually returned the monarch into power with a representative democracy like twist.
