Isn’t it funny what a Xeno can do? [FT]

“Filthy Xeno!” Screamed the Marine, his power-fist crunching into the creature’s middle. The power armour crumpled, and the creature was killed as the power-field tore out its insides. The Marine, known by his brethren as Linodinus, fired upon the Xenos. He had seen them before, the creatures where 8 legged lizards, stronger then a human, but less intelligent. Another reached the line, and he smashed its face with his power-fist, the skeleton, muscle and brain all torn apart.

~What to they hope to achieve?~ the marine thought. The complex was a storehouse, gene seed, they where inheritors of the Ultramarines, and no flaws had been found. There doubt if the creatures were after it, the reports, which had ended several days before hand, said they where attacking the planet itself.

Still, why did they fight so hard over this spot? It was of little strategic value to capturing the planet, he could not comprehend why they wanted it...

Then he saw them, the drop-pods, hundreds of them. He thought for a moment they where saved, then he noticed the shape. These where not those of his brothers, they where designed by the Xenos.

They impacted around the complex, he could tell it was where they where spread thin although several landed in his sight. He watched as the pods cracked open, revealing four chambers. In moments, the containers where empty, and from the pods launched massive creatures. 3 Meters tall, they looked like a spaceship on a tripod given arms and a head. It moved across the field with such speed the Marine was stunned.

Then he saw its weapon. The thing was massive, probably a bit bigger then a Heavy Bolter, and the ends glowed with a fierce fury. They fired on the marines, and one beside him fell, half his torso burnt away. His marines fired back, letting loose on the big creatures, and they took their toll. Several fell, but they still came. Marines fell.

Then the two groups clashed, and the hell broke loose. A marine was seven feet usually, the creatures running where 10, bigger, stronger, and given the power armour to boot. With the mechanical help of the Suit, they threw marines as if they where rag-dolls. Linodinus screamed, his power-fist smashing into one of them. Its body fell, but another took its place and grabbed his weapon. The two struggled, before the bigger creature brought one of its legs up and launched the kick at the Marines head. The Marine dropped, but the bigger creature simply smashed down with its other foot. The Impact was felt, even through the armour, and then he sensed the gun of the creature pressed to his head, before a Message came into his ears.

“Fate shall forgive you,” the message said. “Your death shall take its will.”

Then, there was nothing, the gun fired, and his head was obliterated, turned to atoms.

“Querist,” the big Indarii said, as he surveyed the field. “We won, I am awaiting your presence.”

“Very good Marisha” the reply came. “I trust the Operation went as planned?”

“Aye, Querist,” the Indarii said. “When will you be down?”

“I already am.” The Querist replied from behind the large. “Now, let us move.”

They moved through the complex, deeper, deeper. There was no more fighting, the corridors had been scorched clean of the humans presence. Querist Xornamoru moved down the corridor, his feet padding on the ground.

Then, a door before him stood closed. Like a seal, it was locked and stayed that way. The Querist looked at it, nodding as he understood the simple level of armour they had set up. You could break through it, but to do so risked what was on the other side. To an attacker wishing to destroy, this was no problem, but this was not the Indar’s plan. So at the controls at the door, an A.I. slaved to one of the ships above was working with Effectors. It took only moments, and the doors opened, to reveal the workings within.

Men lay, restrained to the table, as tech-priests and Servitors slaved over them. They looked up, to be greeted with an Ellipsoid banging off the roof and exploding in a flash, disabling the Imperials.

Moments later, the Indarii moved into the room, and began to set up. The Querist moved across bodies, and came, looking at the organs growing in the tanks before him. He smiled, and muttered.

“Geneseed…”

[OOC: Righto People, if you wish, you could call this a development thread, since its going to be describing the plans of my Dear Indarii, and it starts off with the development of the Homo-Astartas (My spelling is probably wrong), their vision for humanity, and yes, a alien species have visions for humanity! Isn't it weird?]
