Ever since the takeover of waterhelper by Mini Miehem the people have become disgruntled. There were increasing acts of violence and aggression against the occupying units. However this time its different after a massive explosion during a morning gathering of troops a bomb exploded and the government sided with the insurgents. The rebels which have infiltrated point peace eliminated the recognition of Mini miehem's pass codes and a full scale war against MM was started. All ships were called back for the inevitable onslaught and probable defeat approaching. A message was sent out on all frequencies for help against the opprssors.

The Galactic Empire of Mationbuds pledges to assist Waterhelper citizens in ousting the fake leadership instilled by Mini Miehm . We will donate 6 MKIII Imperial Star Destroyers , 8 VictoryII Star Destroyers , 6 MC90 Mon Calamari Star Cruisers and 10 Carrack Class Light Cruisers .

We may also send in our Navy should tensions arise .

Through space, the Needle ship tore across reality. It was cruising, going approximatly 220 Kilolights, which was a crawl, but it was having fun. As it moved across space, a transmission inflicted upon its consiousness. It sent a quick request through the Concordance Network, before sending a transmission.

~I need you to give me a lock on all your major cities. Once I got that I will use some favors I am owed, you should have city shields within minutes.
~Need you to keep all people under those shields, anyone outside of them you can get with Military forces, but I need to know most civilians are safe.
~Any ships you got need to be ready to attack when I give my signal.

Meanwhile, at Nasquodan, Other Needle Ships where getting ready for the jump, the Sleeping Sword would be on its own for a bit, but it would be getting help.

The planetery deflector shield grid and point defence (located on vertually every structure in a systematic command to all citizens to tell the replicators to make them and instal them) was just comming online when when message came.

The ship ramped up her speed, hitting 4,000 Kilolights, before cutting its Phase-drive about 5 Light-Minutes out of the Miehm forces. Down on the planet, Shield Generators where Shifted, along with Drones to keep the generators safe. Effectivally, the cities where protected.

Once the confrimation of that had been given, the Needle Ship used its own Shifter...

The Terapedo just sat there...on every ship on the Miehm fleet in orbit of the planet. They just sat there, a slightly relaxing music playing from their speakers.

And Mini, this is not your thread nor your nation, this was one of my pledges to assist WH and you have to deal with it. Prepare to face the entire might of the pre-refit tannelornian armada's force projection. So, sorry MM cant stay out of a thread i am involved in..and calling me a tech wanker is like the pot calling the kettle black, i only did it while fighting you or SQ because your notorious for it. Space and time seemed to fold in on itself at the edge of the Waterhelper system, refocusing in on itself in a massive display of energy and science. Instant transmission through manipulation of Black holes had long been a perfected art in the Vascilian league, however it was considered unsafe in all but the largest of vessels.

And accompanying the largest armada Tannelorn had ever sent to war were two of the mighty super dimensional fortresses, the Fortitude and the Arch Angel. Hundreds of flotillas formed up, and tens of thousands of Morgenrates were launched, before they left they uploaded almost 1000 of the new morgenraete III omega patterns. Their space time compressor systems and Twin Pulsar cannons giving them an edge over even the Mark III alpha and beta patterns. Quickly they moved ahead of the massive fleet as it prepared to wage war on the aggressive, power mad emperor of Mini Miehm.


The vessels moved with great speed towards the primary inhabited planet within the system, scanning the reaches of the system with their DEM sensors, looking for anything that may be the enemy. As they started to move out. In huge sweeping formations, patrolled by shoals of beowulf frigates, the fleet advanced on its objective. The Bad-Hertzfeldt Assault ships of the Grand Army of the Prefecture lay nestled within the middle of the might formation, preparing to move ahead and crush any planetary defenses they may encounter, and add the weight of fire of their Ubeck cannon turrets to the Melee.

However several of the Naval ships had the new UBeck Accelerator cannon of the navy. A massive weapon capable of locking a space time conduit directly on an enemy ship, and firing a 5 ton shell at 57%c, with a force of 22 gigatons directly on the armoured hull of a ship. The effects of the new weapon system were disastrous for any enemy vessel hit, and almost impossible to evade.


They made quick time to the planet, Engaging any planetary defenses immediately at extreme range, first with 'raetes then with the massive Loengren and ingelstung cannons. The first shots of the war were being fired, and it was obvious the Tannelornian navy was trying to draw Mini miehms forces out in to the open.

As the attack began a transmission was sent out to the planet of Waterhelper.

"Your Allies have arrived, you shall be oppressed by the will of a mad emperor no longer, all civilians head towards shelters immediately, any military forces available..now is the time to strike against the Terran Confederacy, This is at once a declaration of liberation for Waterhelper, and war towards Mini Miehm."

480 missiles rippled away from the Miehmish ships in orbit, streaking towards the surface. They wren't targetted for cities, or anything like that, simply to glass as much of the countryside as they could. The battlestation that the fools had placed in orbit was targetted by massive spinally mounted grasers, and chase missile launchers. Destruction lanced from point to point in space, shattering the stillness with sudden fury, before falling away to nothing as the weapons recharged.

While all of this was happening, they had managed to scramble maybe a dozen of LACs from each CLAC, powerful Shrikes, but still not enough to stop the opposing ship. They would, however, wreak their own destruction on the system infrastrcture, being well away from the blast radius of their parent ships, and still mounting enough weaponry to do some damage before they were destroyed.

The two Comm officers went back to their duties as seven black shapes slid out of their formation and entered a newly formed wormhole to WaterHelpers.

When they turn up, the sector scout support fleet (which is on the way already) will consist of:
1 scout cruiser (big bruiser, can take most capital ships easily)
5 Scout frigates (Large warship, carrys a few little tricks)
50 scout sloops (fairly average, mid-strength fleet vessel re-designed as a long range scout ship)
100 Brigantines (Light fleet warships, throwaway escorts)

the relatively weak shields on the station succumbed to the grasers. fortuneatly the emergency bulkheads kicked in preventing the complete destruction of the station it still remained useless peppered with holes and a unstable reactor core. The second salvo destroyed it several smaller sections with its own life support managed to survive drifting in space though they could do nothing to aid the battle.

The makeshift point defence lasers mostly did nothing but miss, however the government structures equipped with secret FTL sensors and a omnidirectional phaser were able to take down dozens of missiles in one shot. however, because of the relative scarcity of these installations, some sections of the planetary shield failed and one [nuke] made it through the crossfire of lasers and phasers and through a opening in the shield created by a previous nuke. It detonated "harmlessly" in the country side creating a massive dust cloud, that if left unchecked would destroy the planet on its own.

The sloop moves into weapons range of the MM fleet and locks its targeting systems onto the nearest ship.

~What do they think I am? Stupid?~ Thought the Sleeping Sword as it detected missile fire. The Delay between the missiles firing and the Terapedoes Detonating was the best part of 3 seconds, as energy poured into the Miehm ships. Before their deaths, the Terapedo sent a message, directly from the Sleeping Sword.

#Look, you might think I am an idiot, but the case is far from it. Did you really think the detonation wouldn't occur if you fired?# in the time the Terapedo would take to tear apart the ship, the message would Register on their minds, giving them between half a second to 3 seconds to contemplate it before their destruction, depending where they where on the ship.

~Now what the fuck am I going to do about those missiles?~ The SS thought, the answer was simple. In moments the ship began to accelerate, as missiles where systematically targeted and Effectorized. The going was slow at this range. ~Shit...I can't get any more~ Where his thoughts as he banked around. He watched as the missiles where shot down by planetary defence, before one of them Detonated. The explosion was a spike on his sensors, even though the light wasn't visable yet, it would be in a few minutes.

But it would be visable, several hundred Gigatons, that would put the planets ecosystem back years. ~And I am gonna be blamed for it...oh joy.~

The Tannelornian fleet rushed forward like a pack of hungry wolves, eager to enter the fray as the first nuclear detonations impacted against the planet. Firing up their ubecht catapults and moving in to orderly formations, several thousands of kilometers apart they started to move forwards in a broad encirclement.

Squadrons of Beowulf attack ships and Morgenraetes started to swarm towards the enemy, preparing to intercept the nuclear weapons being fired as the massive host of Swords and their command dreadnoughts split in to two forces, to engage the miehmish and waterhelper collaborationist fleet.

At nearly 6 million kilometers the vast host of Tannelornian ships let fly with a massive salvo of missiles. Standard AM ship killers mingled with something new. Heavy Bio-com-Missiles, armed with a massive graser warhead let rip at high speeds, heading towards the miehmish transponder signals, the ones that rather clearly matched those of the ships destroyed in the Cluster. Nearly 3600 high speed AM missiles were flying towards the enemy, though that was not the sheer horror of fighting the Tannelornian armada. The vast flights of Morgenraetes and Fausts coming from the battle carriers flying support positions in the formations were of much greater cause for concern. Each of them armed with 100 missiles, ranging from the infamous linebreaker Ground attack missile to AS graser and Antimatter as well as Brilliant pebbles, filled with a core of ball bearings accelerated to a fair degree of c that fanned out in a formation for anti missile/drone work.


There were nearly 50 000 morgenraetes already heading towards the enemy fleets, the planet and to intercept the nuclear weapons themselves. Of these 1000 were the deadly new Omega variant, protected by a Ubecht field, and armed with highly advanced weaponry.

Still the Tannelornian fleet was far from the action, however this was far more of a message then anything else, that to trifle with the Cluster was to trifle with Tannelorn itself...

ooc now i will say again MM, this has been a long time coming so do be a dear and respond this time. I have been "fluid timing" this attack for some time now. Will be nice to finally be finished with it.

The 72 LACs were stunned. For a moment. After that they were simply pissed. Each Shrike was wrapped around a single massive Graser, and carried 20 missiles, all of which could be shot off in almost no time. They had taken out the space station. There were enemy fleets in the system. They had a combined total of 1,440 missiles. If the opponents couldn't stop all of just 480, they'd never be able to stop over one thousand coming in hard and fast. The LACs oriented themselves swiftlytowards the surface, and began spewing missiles. They knew they were doomed. They'd been doomed since a strange ship had arrived to save these worthless fools. At least they'd go out with a bang. And enough explosives to trigger several nuclear winters, on top of the one they already had on its way.

Their magazines shot off, and still with one weapon remaining to each of them, they turned away from the planet, and headed out to meet their doom.

"Sir, massive missile barrage aimed at the planet"

"Er... sir, multiple hyperspace signatures right on top of the planet...they're the reinforcements, sir."
"Well thank god for that. lets just keep out of the way and let the fleet mop up."

On board the Scout cruiser Indomitable:
"Sir, hyperspace translation complete. We seem to be right next to the path of a missile barrage aimed at the planet now, though."
"hmm. all craft, fire interceptor missiles into the barrage. lets lighten the load the planet has to take."
"aye sir. comms, all ships to attempt to stop that barrage. weapons, thats us too."
"comms aye, all ships, all ships, use interceptor missiles on planetbound barrage"

From the combined missile bays of the newly materialised NSAA fleet, a counter barrage of 690 smaller missiles shot out and collided with the nuclear swarm headed for the planet.

The single scout sloop that had closed in turned and ran for the protection provided by the cruiser and its escorts.

From what I understand of MM forces, there is nothing left that is FTL capable and those are mostly gunships.

Am I correct?

If this is true, there is a lot of "extra" forces around here.

The Avia antimatter facility was a massive powerstaion with modified particle axxelerators that produced pure antimatter in a confinement field. The scientists at the facility (I was going to blow it up but i came up with this last night and soory Naggeroth) redirected the confinement beam to the fleet above waterhelper ((MM)) they then directed a second confinement beam to the fleet with the corosponding matter in hopes of creating a antimatter explosion.

the destroyed space station sent metal in all directions. some of the pieces went into the path of the missiles destroying some.

...nuclear complexes under the ocean... (most of the planet is ocean and some 30% of my population lives under water)
"We are go for launch." the old fashioned implosion type fusion bomb with a rating of 100 mt (per warhead a Multiple independently targetable vehicle was created secretly)were launched. they numbered 200. They created a screen of nukes that would detonate in layers over the main continent, the only real continent with the planet being 85% water, every five minutes. As the missiles approached the lasers kept firing this time in straight lines so the missiles could be programed to avoid them. (or the lasers programed to avoid the missiles) they arrived after the first group hit the shields knocking them out again. (not that they need to be strong they will detonate on impact)
"blow up the first layer of 100 nukes (they are the ." the missiles blew up creating a chain reaction in the oncoming nukes that knocked many of them out. The second ones arrived and were blown up. the chain reaction created from the nukes destroyed most of the missiles. those that got through were destroyed by the ever vigilant lasers and phasers.

Enter the federals….



A tall dark skinned manned walked in to the white house his green army uniform dully gleaming in the light of the office, the walls were painted white marble, the old time chandelier hung over the blue carpeted oak furnished office with peace , the federal flag hung around the walls, he stood at attention his caressed pressed uniform shriveling slightly as he stood strait up looking towards the turned black leather like seat.



The seat swiveled over making a small squeaking noise; the holo feed was unusually off, a young 18 year old man sat in the chair, his black hair gleaming in the sun light coming through the wide open windows, his black suit pressed, his skinny body shimmering and his smooth skin flickering slightly with another holo feed just coming on.

He said in a split second “At ease commander” …


The dark skinned commander went to parade rest, and said “sir the status of the water helper rebellion has been complete, Mini Miehmish forces refuse to back down in the face of many nations opposing him “

Rob sighed and looked up “They need a lesion in humility, plus it will be a good way to show them that they aren’t as invincible as they think, brief as many commanders as you need, I want you to send several battle groups to help this nation” - - -

You have stricken our last nerve, your insane actions will have consequences, you Will pull out of water helper by our hand or your own, don’t make a mistake, you cannot possibly stand up against all these nations against you, if you do your leader ship are madmen.

A red blue and white holo screen popped up in the middle of the chrome painted white , blinking bridge, the face of admiral Richardson looked around, watching as officers rushed around the bridge, taping on blinking holo consoles. He started to speak as Tyrone looked up “Listen son , orders have just come down from the pipe seems to want you and 599 of your buddies to head to the water helper part of the cluster to lay down the law against Mini Miehm… that’s all for now good luck and good night”


Tyrone nodded he blinked a moment then looked around the either bridge, he stared at his helm officer and said ”Ok helm you heard the man, set a course for water helper full speed, tell the rest of the task forces to join us..”

The helm officer nodded and said one thing “sir It will be difficult to negotiate some space around water helper so we wont get there immediately”

Tyrone nodded and said “understood”


With that the quiet emptiness of space was filled with reverberating inertial less engine noises, the ships flew in to the dark void like swords piercing the dark heart of a daemon, there engines raved up, particles of blue white streamed from the engines behind them engulfing space.. Suddenly the gleaming dull hulls of the ships were engulfed with white and blue; there hulls shimmering out of existence suddenly the area of space once containing these battle ships went silent….

There is no reason for the total number of ships here to even be as large as the smallest force.

I figured the last OOC post I made would clue in some but nobody is listening to logic.

I have sent 7 ships and they are in transit not knowing fighting has started. They are deliberately a small force (although powerful). The MM ships seemed large but 99% of them don't even have FTL capabilities. They are basicly fighters.

If you had read the Thread carefully, you would have noticed the heading in Post #9 stating:

That lead me to believe something had been worked out OOC. That is why I sent only 7 ships.

In post #12 MM stated in the OOC comment (which I will not repeat here) there was some sort of plot. This also lends credit to the assumption there is a predetermined plotline.


In the next post (#13) I stated in an OOC comment:

I thought there was something preplanned so I gave them time to get things taken care of. Ten minutes is a long time in an FT battle.

After several nations appeared with a large ammount of metal in orbit, I made an OOC statement pointing out there were way too many ships here. The remaining MM ships were not even FTL and were just gunships.

Still more ships arrive. The total ships of those trying to help here must be greater than my enitre nation by now.

In the last post, the Ansarii Concordance (Naggeroth) stated much this same information.

I fully plan on my ships arriving too late to do anything but help mop up and possibly assist with that radioactive cloud problem WH is having. They will of course try to figure out what happened ICly first...

A trio of Shrikes were immolated in the first barrage, and three more in the second. It wasn't that the enemy was inaccurate, it was just that they were getting damn lucky. Most of the crews expected their tiny ships to be shatterd hulks within seconds, but they weren't.

If the enemy could fire and hit at this range, so could they. 66 massive grasers shattered space, reaching out to touch upon the hull of the strange vessel that had destroyed their friends, firing desperately in an attempt to bring it down by sheer force of numbers.

There wasn't much hope for the tiny doomed squadron of parasites, bu as long as they were still in one piece, there would be hell to pay.

ooc Actually the original number of ships i sent to take back waterhelper was much much larger, i toned it down. And WH can tell MM flat out that we had this planned for a very long time. So its that simple, MM why should i remove myself from a thread with people i am at least loosely allied with? Didnt think so. And me defending WH as i was doing before, exactly how is that a plotkiller?

Believe me i can link to the original thread where he agreed to start this up again once an attack in the cluster was dealt with.

And i dont see whats wanktastic about continuing the battle that was started in the Milatary build up thread by Waterhelper. To be honest i had sent nearly 700 ships [including gunships, so 300 or so capital ships] with 1 million GAP soldiers to liberate WH months ago, but MM decided to wait till after the cluster war thread to do it.


Its after both threads. And its time to finish this, i have been involved since the start, i toned down the forces sent but this was indeed supposed to be a big operation MM and everyone else. We did indeed launch a full scale attack on the MM occupation force, MM simply wanted to wait till something else was finished to continue it.

But MM never finished either of the threads, so here i am to finish it finally.
sorry about the heinous ooc post. And to be honest once again the best chance for the miehmish is ground action, crush the rebellion fast and man the guns. Remember we are here to liberate the planet, we wont orty it, at least not much. Lets bring Ground combat back to FT.

The Tannelornian fleet was more then capable of extremely rapid movement, allowing it to reach the battle front quickly, however they were approaching cautiously. The Miehmish shrike's appeared to be built along similar lines to the woglinde support gunship..built upon a single massive spinal ingelstung graser, and the sheer number of them could cause havoc amongst any ship force, regardless of size.

The tannelornian fleet would approach PBS foreward, the forcefields covering their frontal arc until they got within 5 light seconds, then they would release the shields and let fly with ten second beams from their loengren cannons, the massive grasers spitting an lance of death directly at the enemy ships, ingelstung spinal grasers would follow up at 3 light seconds, as the ships closed in for the kill. The morgenraetes powered towards the battle, hoping to intercept enemy daughter craft, sheer exultation at the thought of facing enemy pilots of possibly equal skill drove the knights of the naval morgenraete corp forward in an massed charge, eager to get to the grips with the miehmish pilots.

The fleet advanced, their missiles reaching their targets, enemy ships and ortillery installations above the world. The Tannelornian armada would bring retribution to the miehmish, and to the people of waterhelper they would bring swift justice.

The ships of the GAP advanced behind the main tannelornian advance, however they advanced under a steady stream of fire from their main anti space ship weapon. The quad Bio-com-Graser AS "drone". This weapon fired a bio-com controlled subcraft, with a massive graser warhead attached. It flew towards a target, releasing the warhead at the desired range and returning to the ship to get remounted with another.

And each ship was firing approximately 12 of these a minute, slowly and methodically they layed down a hail of fire as they advanced.

(OOC: 600 are the total ships I have going there, but Im not going to use all of them I might use 15 or 20 .... the rest are going to be lying in reserve)

MM would be defeated the number of empires rallied up against him would help end his short but unwanted rule over the people of waterhelper.

a entire [weak] waterhelper fleet arrived. they paled in comperison to MM and the othe races but they were here to help. as soon as they arrived they fired their grazers at the MM fleet with out use of their tageting comouters which haven't some online yet.

ooc sorry to put the ooc post in without any ic to go with it, consider this half place holder. Yes MM these assaults i made against you were an attempt to force a ground battle. Sure i pulled massive amounts of ships, however i didnt intend to orty you to submission, nor blast the planet to hell. Instead it was to ensure a massive >:) Ground campaign.

Which is what we all want to see in this more then anything. The sys defense fleet will have its glorious stand, but the only chance to win is with ground combat!

However WH, MM i propose that you set it up so MM is still in control of say a continent, preferably something like a jungle or other nasty easy to defend area, while WH is in control of the rest. The problem is this becomes a miehmish "control" zone with lots of nasty fighting, sort of like how i wanted to set up the miehmish territories in the cluster, you know MM as i didnt wipe everyone out in your colonies, you can still play in the cluster just you dont have governmental authority..but who says cults fall under gov jurisdiction 0:).

And one more ooc note, surrender and Tannelornian forces will immediately stop firing on the ships, however the ground forces [which i would do nothing but low power pinpoint orty ie tactical support] would be able to actually fight a battle.

Tyrone stood on the bridge of the chrome white ship the noise of its engines reverberating throughout the vessel. He stood looking out of the holographic view his form shimmering ever so slightly as he breathed.

He said in a rather clam but confident commanding voice “have we arrived yet?”

The helm officer nodded and said “yes just about commander, I’m dropping out of manipulation now”

The fleet finally quantum manipulated there way in to the system, space was shimmering apart as masses of gleaming grey appeared in space, the ominous ships floated cutting through the dark lifeless void, there engines pushing out white and blue particles in a stream as far as the eye can see, the ships moved along with impeccable speed.

The commander turned his head fluidly over to his helm officer and said “set a course for the center of that battle, I only want 20 ships accompanying us for now, have the others set up fast attack runs and there own groups to flank enemy forces if need be”

The helm officer nodded taping several holographic buttons quickly his hands moving up and down the hologram quickly.


Suddenly the Washington several large floating ominous ships and tens of attack ships began racing towards the center of the large battle. The engines were streaming forth in grate clouds of white and blue the ships cutting through space like death knights on a mission of destruction…

The commander looked around, he peered up and the large sensor/ radar like holographic view he started to speak “ok I want us to out flank these ships, send the gun ships in to raids against MM Forces, launch fighters and I want us firing full broad sides!”


Suddenly the bays of the battle carriers opened up, swarm upon swarms of small advanced fighters and light bombers raced out of the ships .

Suddenly grate waves of grey swarmed enemy positions, flying towards them not exactly there but getting close. Mean while capital ships targeted other heavy enemy ships in the area, there turrets and missile tubes began reverberating and recoiling, streams of blue white, orange, black and green weapons fire flew out of the capital ships pear icing the void turning it in to a mosaic of astonishing colors, beams and pulses gashed through space, as flaming torrents of fire. All targeting capital ships smaller ships and frigates.

The commander stood on the bridge looking forth much like a general in old time war, watching as his ships poured massive amounts of fire power through the lifeless area of space, lighting up the already illuminated area even more, his lips quivered in to a grin, his mind focusing on the battle, and platuides of glory, his hands beside him, his face and exposed skin illuminated by the streams of fire and missiles.

He started laughing a bit in an almost insane tone, the helm officer looked at him, he turned and looked back his body shimmering in the light he spoke with an undertone of demented happiness “ the things we do for our country my dear friend, the things we do” he quickly turned his head back laughing slightly again his lips quivering , his eyes panning the massive lighten up void, watching as the sky will soon be turned in to flames… hellish flames…

troops from point peace began depoying in large [government] buildings rebuilding phaser arrays with nanobots and attacking the MM occupation forces. as soon as the nanobots began finishing up the marines began to attack MM's forces with their full power. Each 50 man team came a MJOLNIR Mark VI armor system. (like Master Chief) there were 200 teams like this all under the command of a supersoldier scattered around the world harrasing MM's forces, securing importaint defenceive postitions etc. (pick one and RP it I dont care)

The leviathans fired their ralguns 250 miles away from the captial. they fired shells at mach ten. (something like a mile in 1/128 of a second so it should arrive in about a second and a half) The railguns were designed to be fired rapidly with their rate of fire at 100 shells per second. a second and a half later they slammed into MM's main camp hopefully hitting and doing some damage. (its 250 miles even with a weather control net so assume some if not most missed)

OOC: I can see that this is going to be a pain in my ass... You're doing about 5 things in one post without giving me details or time to respond to any earlier action. Someone remind me why I'm putting up with this crap, please. You say that your forces begin to infiltrate buildings. Those buildings would have guards, since they obviously housed items of military value. I can barely comrehend what you're writing, much less how I'm supposed to RP my guards attempting to stop you, my troops being attacked, and your nanobots doing SOMETHING. I have no idea what's going on, much less what's being used where and how. I know there are 10,000(which is your entire army right there) troops attacking me somewhere, and that you have 200 SPARTANs leading them. That is about all I understand from that ground battle. Can someone help me make more sense of it, or help HIM make more sense?

Considering everything that has happened so far, I think 10 minutes have passed.

Also, a railgun that shoots 100 shells per second at Mach 10 is a bit far-fetched. To fire anything at that speed you need one hell of a charge to power the magnets. The capacitors would need several seconds to minutes to recharge between shots. If you are lucky and sink a lot of research and money into it you might get a shot off every 100 seconds, tops. Not 100 every second.

Also, with that rate of speed, the shells would have to be large. Small projectiles would be eaten by the friction of the atmosphere resulting in some pretty fireworks. Large projectiles would be impossible to reloat at that speed. Even if they were in clips of 500, you would have to remove the spent, load the refill, and then reinitiate the firing sequence every 5 seconds. If you were using 1 pound shot, the clip would contain 500 pounds of ammo. Someone would have to load them in something by hand.

To get the impact you are hoping for, you will have to have the mass behind the shot to counter the effects the wind would have on your shots. Since you are firing upon a city, you would also need the extra to punch through the reinforced concrete used in building construction.

If you realistically reduced the rate of fire and the projectile speed, the rest might be acceptable.

Now for the IC post. My description of the sensor effects are generic effects and may not apply to everyone. I am just describing what might happen to everyone in the area. The fleet where the wormhole opens can be anyone's who is assembled. The coordanates were set before the ships left. I have no desire to destroy any of your ships but you can take that IC opinion if you wish.


IC:

Suddenly ten minutes after they entered, a wormhole opened accidently in the center of one of the fleets. The alien fleet was not there when the Imperial Task Force initiated their mode of travel so there was no way either force could do to prevent the inevitable.

Aboard the ships in the unfortunate fleet alarms screamed as the universe collapsed outside the hull and a huge maw of nothingness opened. Reality funneled away into the infinity of the massive rupture and gravity fluctuations played with anything that dared to get too close.

Appearing in the distant center of the tear in reality, seven ebon vessels ascended from the depths as if they were fallen angels rising from the vert Abyss. The strange ships crossed the event horizon of the wormhole and entered Real Space.

As soon as they did this, every gravemetric and mass sensor in the system went beserk. Alarms screached and abruptlu either shut down for diagnostics or just simply ceased to function. Moments before they decided to check out, they briefly detected each of the ships as possessing the mass of a star with energy readings also off the scale. They were also regestered as being under 200 meters in length.

Moments later within the consciousness of every sentient both in the assembled fleets and upon the planet below, a single message appeared within the surface thoughts.

WE ARE HERE

The Tannelornian fleet approached the Water Helper home world rather quickly, several large portions of the fleet started to move off towards the edges of the systems, on the look out for miehmish reinforcements. A few dozen einhanders and 5 of the zwiehanders continued to escort the GAP assault vessels to their appointed task, that of making a massive planetary landing.

The larger ubecht weapons of the fleet would be useless here, as would the massive grasers as the miehmish protected their ground staging areas with impellor wedges. The larger ubechts, though capable of penetrating an impellor with ease, would cause massive structural damage to the planet. However the much smaller ubecht cannon turrets on the GAP vessels were designed just for that. Once the ships broke orbit and were able to distinguish friend from foe, they would start to fire, but for now the heavy assault ships simply floated rather casually through the atmosphere, here and there taking hits, rocking and even being crippled by the ground fire Mini miehmish forces could still muster. But stopping that many 1 km long assault ships was no easy task, even for a well defended world not ravaged by a preceding conflict.

OOC: I was wrong its one every 60 seconds at speeds of up to mach ten wit a max range of 500 miles. The shells are of my own composition tungsten carbide standard or a HE shell made of tungsten carbide with a naquadah core. they have a molar mass of 66.3143275 (50 pounds/ 22.6795 kg or so) and its kenetic energy is 383,950,951 m mol / s. The individual railguns are powered by a fulsion reactor (and naquadah to increase the output energy 100fold) that provides your charge, this provides the nessessary power. The shells are just dropped in to the berral which is a frictionless surface which increases its rate of fire.
(actually I could also power it from the ships turbines)

IC: The prototype mass sensors blew up on the ground but the fleet,but defenders were kept safe because they use a combination of a telescope/computer enhancement and targeting and a FTL range finder for targeting and the more advanced weapons systems (ships, starfleet, and gov buildings) use the perviously mensioned system supplemented with a long range tachyon scanner.

IC I only know WH called for help and I came to investigate. I qould recognize the Tannelorn vessels, TFU, and MM. I IC have had no contact with Motionbuds, Naggeroth (this incarnation), NSAA, or anyone else that has/will arrive.

I am purposely leaving the option for "mistakes" to be made because after seeing the assembled fleets, I ICly would leave unless there is a reason for me to stay.

The already battered sensors attempting to read the seven tiny ships were further blinded by the raw power surging through the vessel as the Space Minus Tap was established. Unless they were good, the individual reading of the weapons would be hard to determine. The seven ships remained in their formations.

Again a message was broadcast to the sentient minds in the system.

This is the waterhelper fleet. We advise everyone to stop fireing in responce to a threat from MM to irradiate the planet. However if anyone can spare some transports we would like to begin a general evacuation of the planet.. Also do not fire on out most recient arrivals. Scans show them to be from Balrogga our ally in the cluster.

“Relay the order to commence Swarm at the edge of the atmospheric envelope.”

As the seven ships neared the atmosphere, they seemed to break up into a cloud of smaller pieces. The cloud seemed to undulate and move as if it were an entity of its own. Scans of the cloud would reveal a swarming of three meter insectoid (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/fourhandsfront.jpg) creatures (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/closeupheadfront.jpg) composed of some sort of ebon living metal. They swarmed and collected into a clump in the center of the cloud. The creatures seemed to merge together into some sort of structure, forming the framework and the structures of the object. After several extremely long moments a large ship began to take shape.

The form was approximately 1000 meters in length and took on the appearance of a carrier. The creatures seamlessly merged and melted into the hull and support structures until the craft was whole.

Again the etheral voice intruded upon the minds below.

This is the Imperial Carrier, The Angel of Death. I am here to answer your call for transport. I am approaching your city. Prepare for our arrival.

The newly restructured Intruder Carrier slowly slipped into the atmosphere of the planet, headed for the main city below.

they people lined up to enter the carrier. it was the closest city to the multi gigaton exposion. The massive dust cloud aproached and the temperature was begining to drop, the first sign of nuclear winter.

It took no time at all, the Miehm had surrendered and powered down, hence they where quite easily suseptable to Effectors, which popped off at a moments notice. To the Miehm, this would be like someone taking the ship out from under them, they could mash buttons all they wanted, but the command wouldn't reach the guns.

Hence, not the Miehm where effectivally floating Hulks. The New Arrivals where noted, but ignored, a brush of Psionic communications was Shoved away, not an ingorance, but a rejection. And the vessel studied the new arrivals it was quite annoyed, but mentally shrugged.

#incoming Fabricator, given over to Waterhelper# came into its mind, with an offhand gesture, it sent a transmission to the planet below to let them know the Fabricator was theirs, and that it was presently set to auto-collect and would give them a fleet in about 3 years before leaving. Any attempts to assimulate or find the design of said machine would be put forward with force, and delt with.

The Needle ship seemed satisfied, with one last burst of its Shifters, bringing the Miehm crews aboard to be taken to their government on a Plate later, it established a Wormhole, and jumped from the system.

[ooc: and thats fairly done, MM, if you have a problem with that, see me on MSN, but I figured since you seemed mostly powered down anyway there wouldn't be a problem. Waterhelper, let the tech help you, don't try and work out how it works, Fabricators are filled with lots of Angry robots and alot of Annihilation plants, which means BIG boom.

we request that the said machine be sent the the cluster to build the fleet there.

The planet will soon fall to a nuclear winter. While we suffered minimal casualties we would like to request that the population be moved to the cluster where we will rebuild our civilisation. We will keep point peace here as a resupply facility for those who might want to refuel here.

...in space...
Several nanobots missiles were sent to the destroyed space station. Their mission was to rebuild a smaller station for maintenance and to attempt to recover some people from the reinforced sections of the destroyed station.
(like the pillar of autumn in the halo novel The fall of reach, structuraly renforced)

The No_State_At_All vessels, seeing little more to do, once more entered hyperspace and left, however, several passive sensors were seeded into the asteroid belt, ready to warn of any further hostil actions against this new soverign nation.

As the Intruder carrier lifted off the planet, a wormhole opened near the edge of the atmosphere. Three more simular vessels appeared and descended to the surface. The fully loaded carrier departed through the wormhole for its short ten minute hop to the new WaterHelper planet in the Cluster.

The wormhole remained open while a black swarm swept from the last descending carrier and it set out to clear the wreckage of the MM vessels damaged and destroyed, disintegrating and ingesting the raw matter. If they were watched closly, it would be noticed the swarm was getting larger as it devoured the matter, new copies splitting off as they went along consuming the shrapnel.

I will leave the WH open until the operation is completed. You get the feeling that using it is welcomed and I will close it after your ships have returned to this location or (in the case of Cluster Residents) you decide to stay on the other side.

...in various cities...
Nanobots were created that ate the metal buildings. They used the material to build tranport ships that would carry the people to the cluster. The same thing happened underwater with the exception of the domes. Point peace, now defunct was transporting most of the military equipment to the waiting ships in space.
...several days later...
the refugee ships took off from the planet each carrying about 50,000 people. The went through the wormhole, as directed with a thought planted in the monarchs mind, with the fleet to reestablish themselves in the cluster.

As the last of the ships left the system either via the wormhole or using their own drives, the Swarm finished their clean up of the space debris from the battle.

They formed into a sphere and entered the vortex, only to have it close behind them leaving an empty system behind.
