United Delta

It was annouced today that Delta Aerospace Corporation, once the largest company in the old Deltan Empire, has been sold to Omni Consumer Product. Delta Aerospace, which filed for bankruptcy last month, had to choose between selling out or shutting down. Sales of the companies products on the international market have dwindled to nothing, costing the company millions of credits. According to market researchers, producing military aircraft would help DA bring in new buyers. However, United Deltan government regulations prohibit the sale of military equipment on the international market, with the exception of support aircraft. This has led to the downfall of the company.
Omni Consumer Product, looking to diversify itself, approached DA excecutives with an offer to buy out the company. The new Delta Aerospace would still be run by its current staff, but would be owned by OCP. An additional benefit is that OCP, being a corporation-run country, has no regulations against international arms sales. OCP Vice-President Robert Johnson announced planes to add more military aircraft to the product line. However, DA's current lines will remain. "We believe that there is a market for civilion aircraft," said Johnson during a press conference. "We just need to attract those buyers by offering military equipment as well."
There has been no response from the international community at this time.
