After examining our own Burkhard Heim drive designed to alter the speed of light using powerful electromagnetic fields, and the new tesseract generator provided by American Privateer we made some interesting discoveries. Apparently, it was possible to pass sidereal dimensions and universes using the tesseract drive.

First we lost some probes with tesseract drives, simply disappearing into these strange places.

We new it was possible to alter time and space. We began the building process. We built three small rings designed to generate tesseract energy combined with electromagnetic and graviphotonic 6 dimensional energy fields. Each one was armed with a switch to destruct if something went wrong.

We were going to experiment with the nature of reality to enter other parallel time lines and universes.

Hyperspatial energy absoption pilons fed the rings-- in hyperspace, particulate matter was much more energetic going at speeds many times that of light. With the right equipment it was possible to harness the radiation in certain areas to generate large amounts of energy.

Several ships monitored the rings, both warships and scientific ships.

We needed help in monitoring and adjusting the rings. Our theory and understanding of the process was incomplete. Theoretical and scientific help would be appreciated.

We looked at both extradimensional space and extradimensional time as being non-finite, there could possibly be an infinite number of parallel worlds as well as time lines at the same moment as our own. We would not be passing back in time, but across the parallel barriers of universes and time lines.

We are seeking partners and technical advice in this venture.

The rings began to pulse with light, the field energy turned an orangish color. Then they stopped rippling with a bluish light.

The scientists scanned the energy pattern. They had replicated the gate pattern energy of the ancients. It read as the same energy pattern as the eternals, but the matrix pattern was different. They had no destination. This was no wormhole or jump gate. What possible place could it lead. Nothing came through it, for all they new they could end up in a million feet of rock on the other side.

They were not projecting themselves to a far destination, but to a different sidereal universe or timeline something which the jump gates did not do.

They had the measure of the flux energy by cross patterns of the energy matrix. Sector 1, Timeline 5, Energy State 8 it read. But this could mean anything.

A star probe was released through the gate. It ended up on some bluish grass in the middle of a clearing. The probe engaged digging a deep furrow in the middle of a field. Then it stopped. The flying lizards chirped and whistled quietly. The probe stalled.

The gate watchers looked and waited for the probe to return. Something was wrong.

The engines engaged again pushing the probe deeper into the furrow. The probe was going nowhere. It shut down, then it released a planetary probe designed to wander around the surface of a planet.

The planetary probe took pictures and recorded the flying lizards, and purplish black trees. Blue bushes grew next to the trees.

Then it went back through the opening made by the gate.

The gate builders were bewildered. What was a planetary probe from our space probe doing coming through the gate.

The scientists were bewildered. They had thought, they had only moved two separations in timelines, apparently, they were further off than originally intended. This area should not have a world in it at all.

They went back over their observations. The energy matrix at least worked, it transferred things to other realities. This was a good first step.

They went back over the collected data. First there were observations from the city ship entering the Eternal's galactic wormhole gate. They had given the approximation of an energy pattern or wormhole to move things far distances. Strange gylphs surrounded that gate. They did not understand the glyphs well.

They also had what one would call a stargate. It was irretrievably broken. They had found it while digging on a strange alien world among some ruins their deep space probes had found. They had disassembled the machine completely, taking apart the machinery. They were strange crystalline things which stored and transferred information and energy. Some of the technology from the find had been used to build the test parallel gate.

Earlier they had picked up signals in their bell quantum tunneling ansible describing commerce in jumping far distances to other worlds. They avoided this fearing contact with dangerous advanced civilizations. There had been indications that the stargate builders had decimated the world where the stargate was found.

Some alien texts they had acquired described lost civilizations that had built, "henges" which allowed travelers with the right keys to move from world world. But there were no keys they had found as yet, to describe how one measured the differences between timelines, dimensions, and parallel worlds.

They were in a pure theoretical space. What they thought was the proper measure of where you ended up with different energy patterns between sideways parallels was wrong.

At least they had a world to explore. They needed to get the probe back before something discovered it. They sent in several tracked construction half-mechs to haul it home along with some recovery personnel in armored space suits. A small team of guards was sent there also. They had to do this quickly, trying to cover their tracks. A shuttle was waiting on the home side to take them back.

The had hidden at the Intrusion.

The Harii watched the Prey departing the system...ah a pop!?! So new planeswalker tribe had entered the infinite...a new Great Hunt? The tribe council will need to be informed. This barbarian tribe resembled the old fables of the Others...a most dangerous and agressive species these Others. The Harii had removed themselves from the Others planes centuries ago. They had given up on civilizing them.

Perhaps that was a mistake? It would appear the barbarians had become rather sophisticated and even more dangerous over the centuries. Yes, a Council was needed. The only question that remained was would a War Chief or a Peace Chief emerge to unite the Tribes of the Harii?

All traces were removed. They would seal the gate until they knew how to operate the interdimensional gates. This was unaccounted location. To leave this gate open would be folly. The Eternals spoke of demons.

First they would have to research the ancient records for old coordinate systems. If the gates would pass through distance, there must be locations through parallels and other planes. They must dig into the corners of the ancient records.

It was time to speak to the Eternals and their companion races.

We went first to the Mei Li in their world trees. Have you ever heard of these gates to other worlds. We have deciphered the way of opening the Eternals gates, but we do not truly understand it. When we entered the Eternals gates, they were watching for demons. Perhaps these demons reside on the other side in parallel earths and dimensions tell us of your stories. We look for a starting point on safe worlds.

We go back to the Final Encyclopedia, a compilation of all knowledge we have beeen able to collect and start to dig. People talk about disappearing into dimensional vortexes, elfland and other worlds. Perhaps there is a map somewhere of the other dimensions. We do not know.

There must be a key somewhere. We open the museum of found objects and search. A strange set of glyphs which maps the stars is found, but no glyphs for other dimensions, parallel earths, or parallel times. How is this?

Truth the Elders of the Enclave were concerned...the Seers had not forseen this Eddy...the Commonii had stumbled upon this Dangerous Ravine a few millenia early. The Melii very rarely lied to anyone. Nor did they make a habit of lying to their closer allies in many of these homelines. However, in most of the Homelines the secrets of dimensional sliding were not fully understood by the Commonii or other allied Houses for at least another two or three millenia.

This was a quickening...perhaps a dangerous one...for they had captured a whispered echo of an old Tribe...The Harii were very closely related to the Melii. Indeed many times they were confused as being one and the same...and indeed they shared many traits, physical and cultural...this would be troublesome. They opened the Holo-Comm to the Commonii Vessel.

So then the truth?

"Kinsmen of the House Commonii, we urge that you tread with care the path you have chosen. Be warned the ice is thin and the frozen seas deep and cold. You have troubled the ethers with your curiousity."

The Holo-Sage transformed into a Floppish and Rakish Cat in shiny orkish jack-boots, a chamelon skinsuit & cloak, and a simple yet exotic looking raiper. The Cat smiled and whispered a warning.

"Curiousity can indeed kill a cat!"

The cat slowly morphed into a leoniad of gaint proportions but remained well hidden in his cloak and well armed in his rapier.

"Best to have many big cats when exploring!

"The Enclave must research our old records. This will take time. We believe that there is a possible connection. Until we are sure we cannot say. For now, we can only offer you our suspicions. We will gift you a song that was once widely known on Holy Terra..."
