Henry the Eighth had separated the Anglicans from Catholicism, this was known but it was James I (may change) who brought Eastern Orthodoxy to England, making it and the Anglicans the state churches of England. The Orthodox Church of England had its liturgy in English.
James I was named ''The Orthodox'' for his bringing of Orthodoxy. After him, other rulers ruled England, Oliver Cromwell interfereing with the Royal Line.
After Cromwell, Charles II took over, Charles II (who was an Orthodox Christian, although Anglicans did rule) strengthened England, as well as Anglicanism and Orthodoxy. Orthodoxy could be found in England's colonies, including America and Canada.
James II was a Catholic who went against the Protestant ruler, William III of England. Many rulers ruled over England, the Catholics, Protestants, Anglicans and Orthodox all getting equal rights.
The current monarch in the United Kingdom is James III, the UK is a constitutional monarchy.
