OCC: This is open to anyone

This is a mystery/horror rp taking place in the city of New Orleans. Something strange is happening. People are disappearing. None of them have connections with each other. They come from different backrounds. However, they are all female. Recently, a young woman named Jessica DeMille, daughter of a promanent citizen went missing. The police executed a long and close search for her. Sadly, she was never found. Two years later another girl goes missing but is found. Cuts covered her body, they were drawings and signs cut right into her flesh. These symbols belonged to an ancient cult. New Orleans is the home to ghosts and strange occurances. Tales of voodoo and vendettas. Has this ancient order risen from the ashes? What are their plans? A door to the supernatural world has been unlocked. A trail of suspense, danger, and horror await those who answer the challenge.

History: Jack is an ex-cop. A tragedy changed his life forever and he quit the force. He is divorced with one kid who lives with his ex-wife. He's become close friends with the bottle but managed to pull himself back up and runs a private detective agency. The parents of Jessica DeMille called upon him to help them in their search for their daughter.

Akre Toops (Born: Alexeyvic Yusef in 1928) joined the Red Army In 1944 he quickly rose in ranks due to his loyalty and skills towards Russia and for his bravery during the closing half of WWII, he was given a code name and began to experiment in the leading Soviet military equipment.

His first official mission under the code name Akre Sharashka in 1965 as a sabatuer destroying American helicopters, his role in the conflict increased til he was eventually taken back from the conflict by the Russians who then placed him Arabia to defend Egypt in the 6 day war, in 1967, he was pulled out when the Egyptian Air Force was destroyed.

He was lastly placed as a spy and assassin in New Orleans in 1971 but there he was left until the fall of the Soviet Union and after that time he hired out his services as a professional hitman, of course his appearance is much changed from his youth in the Soviet Union, he wears an eye patch and only wears his soviet uniform under his black trench coat, most of those who now know him simply believe him to be a rambling old coot.

History: Just a caucasion male that has been a homeless person his whole life, basically living the streets. He is well known amongst the street people for his friendly attitude, and for this, often ends up gaining a lot of information about certain events (mostly rumors).

He claims he ran away from home when he was a child, and has been living on the streets ever since, refusing to tell anyone his real name, but allowing people to call him "Raft".

If anyone needs to know of rumors, events, or basic information; Raft would be the best and most helpful place to find it if at all.

Bio: Andrew Cross was born in New York City. He moved to Virginia at the age of 17 where he currently lives now, his mother wanted him away from the gangs and other criminals around their old homes area in the South Bronx.

Cross is egar to crack this case and start to build a reputation for himself. In the past Cross served with the F.B.I emergency responce team, conducting raids on major drug dealers, aswell as assisting in the capture of terrorists in the Untied States.

He is very qualifyed for the job at hand, Cross pocesses many traits to help him work the case such as, an open mind, ambition, being a perfectionist and finally a strong willpower.

One thing about Cross, he believes only what he can see...he won't hear of no "supernatural" occurances.

Background information is great, if there is more i will need the complete case so i can work on it better. I require just names of people, parents,boyfriend,friends...so i can carry out the investigation properly with out fault in it.

He's not a sleeper, he's basically betrayed Russia cos he's angry for their having left him and now he's hiring himself out as a hitman, I wouldn't actually kill a major character this early on in the RP just wanted to make the whole thing a bit more interesting, hang on is this pre or post Katrina?

History: Allan is an ordinary seeming guy at first sight; above average height, well built, no remarkeable features, very short hair and an expensive Italian suit. But it's deeper than that, as Allan awoke on the 31st December 2010 in a hospital bed, in intensive care and no memories of his former self. He was told that debris from the hurricane had put him in a coma, and he was lucky to be alive. However, he is almost entirely sure that little to none of this is true.
Nowadays he has given up the search for who he was, and has begun the path to who he is. He looks to be in the late thirties, with a western-european look about him but also a distinct sense of the far north. He has climbed his way to the top of the food chain in New Orleans for weapons dealership and gun-running, and has become renown for his 'no compromise' business ideals and his attention to detail.
He has the best fake identification papers that money can buy, and has settled quite happily into his reputaion as 'Gun-man Menke'
Even when in his own home he will probably be armed, and he will always be dangerous, although he has calmed down drastically since a few very messy bar fights (one of which involved all three emergency services and two police helicopters) after his awakening.
He has no criminal record or any files proving that he entered or left the United States at any time.

I've been doing some thinking. How does a cult of satanist/witches work out? They would be sacrificing these women that disappear. They would use their magic and such. How about the satanists/witches being the human "front" for the vampire, who is the " power behind the scene"? The detectives, while investigating the disappearences, eventually discover that there is a deeper, more shadowy and sinister unseen being behind the murders.

I realize that this could get VERY complex, but it could work out well.

yes they will. when you find "the girl of your dreams", the one you thought you couldn't live without. trust me, the dream turns into a nightmare. you can very easily live without a full-time night woman. what can a wife do for you that a:

"Our Father,"

Father Miller was lighting the candles of the St. Louis Cathedral when he felt a wave of evil spread through his spirit. He light the candle and began to sing to himself. Preparing himself for the fight which was to come.

"Who art in heaven,"

He put on his crucifix, a willow cross, with a oak Jesus. It was a gift to him by a Carpathian monk, who had made it from the monastary's treasures, for his fight against the vampire Thanatos. It was on a silver chain, which he bought in the Vatican, where it, along with the crucifix, had been blessed by the Pope.

"Hallowed be thy name."

Opening a small drawer in the altar, he pulled out a small leather pouch, flilled with garlic, he tied this to his belt.

"Thy Kingdom come,"

Out of that same drawer, Father Miller took out a two pairs of brass knuckles, both emblazoned with crosses, which had been blessed by the Pope in Rome. Thanatos knew these well, for they had been used against him in Carpathia.

"Thy Will be done,"

The Priest dipped the brass knuckles in the holy water next to the altar. he then took some of the holy water and made the sign of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost on his chest.

"On earth as it is in heaven."

He went to the altar, and he pulled out a small thing of holy wine and bread.

"Give us this day out daily bread,"

He took the wine, and drank it, and then ate the bread, allowing the blood and flesh of the Christ to become one with him.

"And forgive us our trespasses,"

Father Miller pulled out his Bible from the drawer, and set it on the altar.

"As we forgive those who trespass against us."

Father miller turned to the twenty-third Psalm, and placed the red book mark in the page.

"And lead us not into temptation,"

Father Miller looked up at the cross hanging above the altar. Suddenly it changed, it was turned upside down. Just like Thanatos liked it.

"But deliver us from evil."

A Father Miller said these words, he concentrated, as the Spirit helped him turn the cross up right once again. After doing this, he fell to his knees facing up towards the cross, hoping that the Father would revive his strength.

"For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever and ever."

He stayed on his knees, as the power streamed from the cross into his soul, helping him to prepare for the fight with Thanatos. He got up off of his knees.

"Amen."

He turned around, and standing there was Thanatos.

"Hello, may the Lord bless you on this great evening of Pentecost."
