Space, it’s infinite. A creature could think he ruled so much, only, in a flash of realization, to see he was nothing, a speck on the fabric of reality, no, not even that, less. To some, however, this realization never comes, sometimes, an entire species can go on, its endless reign, and it can believe in its own importance. When one is presented, with a species such as this, terms begin to be thrown around, Zealot, Fanatic and idiot. But care must be taken. Fanatics are not always foolish, Zealots do not always follow evil.
There are those that are aware, there are many of them. But you, your lifespan will not give you the time to learn of all of them. So we shall focus on one.

“And now, Fate, we thank you for…” The voice of Fequirist Xorandora roared through the great complex. Those behind him, the congregation, saw his back, as he looked up to the great symbol, which looked like a star within a Ring. The congregation sat, today it was made up of the Hutnix, the local species. As with so many others, they had denied to join the fate, they had refused to give the creatures even a place to land.
The Warplates had come then, three of them, but it had been said. “There is no such thing as Overkill if it does not weaken your objective at another location”. Now, the Hutnix kneeled, and between them, the massive Tripeds moved. They where massive, 3 Meters tall. Three legs extended from their body, three toes where balanced on. The upper bodies where broad, and muscles stood out, two arms, with 3 Fingers, 2 thumbs, one on each side of the hand. And the Face looked on without wander, a snake like face, 4 eyes adorning. In their hands, they held long Rifles, taller then a human, and watched the creatures.
Crack! The sound struck across the room, one of the creatures fell in place, the main Nerve snapped. The creature dropped as the bonds that held it knew the signs of death, the energy field cutting off. The creatures near the fallen one had flinched. ~Pathetic~ thought Quorial Vortanjalix as he looked down on them from behind. He turned then, moving away as the Fequirist continued thanking for the life they had been given, and the Hutnix chanted in agreement. The Quorial’s face made an expression of happiness ~Do they truly believe? Or are they simply chanting to save themselves to life? It matters not, Fate will save them still~
He made a satisfied snort, before he turned and began to move down the steps, his feet making the same sound as a dog as it moves, a sort of patter. As he stepped down, the Hur’Thurii scurried into place beside him holding an Info-pad, holding it up to the 3 meter tall Quorial. The Quorial took the device, nodding to the creature and patting it on the head as it walked past, as one might treat a pet, although the creature seemed nothing short of thrilled for the recognition before it scurried off.
-Quorial Vortanjalix, do you receive me?- Came the crisp clear voice through the machine.
“I do, Klenvyn,” The reply came. “What news do you give me?”
-The Rouge’s main location has been found,- Came the excited reply. -We have him Quorial!-
“Finally, bring me up, all soldiers assigned to the Warplate are to be brought up as well.” There was a slight moment, before energy sparkled across the body, and the Quorial stood there no longer.

On the Bridge of the Warplate Xorbylos, a sphere appeared. Tiny at first, it grew to more then 3 meters across. Its surface was a mirror shine. In a moment, a slight Pop was heard, before the Quorial stood on the deck. Around him, the large Tripedals and the smaller Octpedals stood to attention. The Quorial nodded, and the men turned back to their tasks. The commander looked around for a moment before speaking.
“Tylisis,” he said, speaking to the A.I. Slaved to the ship. “Give me report on the location of the rouge.”
“Yes Quorial,” The Machine said, in a voice like ice. “The Rouge has gathered in the Belt, the Warplates Thyesis and Porisnat have just engaged, at this time the Rouge is stuck in system. There are 5 other Warplates, all ours.”
“Give me a tactical.” The Quorial said, and in a moment his view was a tactical display of the system. He could see the movement of various ships, and could see the battle unfold before his eyes. “You know what I want to do Tylisis?”
“Yes Quorial,” came the simple reply. Then, in a moment, the vessel was displaced onto the battlefield. The Xorbylos came into the belt. Before them, flashes of light, as the other 7 Warplates where engaging the massive vessel that was the rouge.
The commander watched the layout, Tylisis reacted upon the words his mind came upon. He watched, as outside layers of space ripped, before impacting upon the Rouges hull. As it struck, it reacted with the hull, and the armour burst apart in gouts of flame, the armour itself becoming the fuel to the explosion.
More of the great Warplates arrived, as did other vessels, Vortanjalix noted their arrival, their positions, and continued to open fire on the rouge. Then, a flash, and for a moment, he and his sensors where blind, and as the vision returned, he saw, 2 Warplates gone, the Rouge had hit with the Effectors, forced them to loose containment on their primary annihilation-plants. He considered it, then changed his form of attack. He shunned powers into the Effectors, four enemy vessels around the Rouge exploded, torn apart into atoms across the void.
“Quorial,” the voice imprinted upon his mind. “The Tyenaska is reporting the Star is fluctuating, as if the Rouge is edging it to Nova.”
“The Rouge wouldn’t do that, focus on those breachers!” the reply came, and the Point defence stuck the missiles. Several impacted, their shields cutting through and striking the armour, and exploding. The ship rocked as a crater formed in the hull of the massive vessel. Another fluctuation, and the sensors once more went blind as one of the smaller vessels moved at full speed into a Warplate.
But it was over. There where 42 Warplates in the system, The Rouge could fight 12, at most, its support vessels could take out maybe 6 if they tried. But that was best case, the more likely case was occurring now, the Rouge was gutted, and the support was rendered useless. The Rouge began to fall apart, struck by simply to much fire.
And then the machine was hit, Effectors struck it, simply erasing its Mind-state. It took less then a second. It was erased, destroyed, gone. Within a second, a life was snuffed out.
It wasn’t long before the system was marked. Several Colony Grade Fabricators arrived, colonials stood ready, and a Wormgate was ready to arrive in system. The system had been marked for colonization, it had material wealth, the destroyed ships left great material for fabrication. The Wormgate came in, a massive ring, allowing for quick transfer, without the Displacing issue which was not widely available.
The Wormgate activated, that’s when it happened. The star, it seemed to burst, energy flooded out, it rushed out with energy, it burns, it floods and it stretched outwards. The system was engulfed, the energy was not of the sun though, it smashed the faster then light barrier and ripped across the ships in system before they knew what had happened.

~What happened…~ the thought flooded through them. They where still in the system, but the system wasn’t where it was ment to. They in fact had no clue where they where, they didn’t understand, they didn’t know.
But they knew they couldn’t reach home. They where out here, alone, without a base, no, they had a base, here it was. This was where they would start.
Fate had given them this, fate had given them this galaxy, to begin anew.
