The Zumoritan Mobile AAA Platform is a major redesign of the Phoenix Dynamix T-01 Velociraptor remotely operated tank. The most straightfoward differnces are the fact that it is manned, and that the turret has been redesigned. Also since this is designed to take on airborne threats, the armor on the top has been increased while the side and bottom armor has been decreased. In case a tank shows up a pair of TOW missiles will deal with it easily. For faster moving or higher flying targets, or just if there are alot of targets to engage, 4 ZAAM-1 SAM's are inclued as well. They are IR Heat Seeking Missiles which are smaller than the sidewinder but more powerfull than the stinger.
Weapons

[1] 7.6mm M240Z GPMG
[4] ZAAM-1 Anti-Aircraft Missiles (cross between a sitinger and sidewinder)
[2] ZTOW-3B Improved Anti-Tank Missiles
Engine Diesel Electric Hybrid Engine with small Gas Turbine Backup
Speed: 55mph (20mph on turbine)

[ Two things:

1) "AA," for "Anti-Aircraft," not "AAA."
2) TOW missiles are obsolete. Replace it with a Javelin or other such anti-tank missile system. ]

OOC: AAA = Anti-Aircraft Artillery, so it works here.

If you can't read my original post, it says "ZTOW-3B Improved Anti-Tank Missile" which is not the real life TOW-2 which I might add is not used as a shoulder launched system and is to this day used along side the Javelin man-portable anti-tank missile as a vehicle mounted missile on M-3 Bradely and HMMWVs

and as Chevy said AAA is Anti-Aircraft Artillery.

[ Stats for the missiles are...?

It's good to base things off of real life, but because a RL military uses it doesn't make it better. ;3

On the AAA point: noted. ]

ooc: When I read the title, I thought you'd developed a mobile American Auto Association platform.

TOW has nearly twice the range of the Javelin.

Javelin's only advantage is that it's fire and forget, while the TOW is wire guided.

Both of them will be put to shame when (if) the HATM gets fielded. TOW's range, Javelin's fire and forget, and more power than an Abrams sabot round. That's a nice missle.

[ That's a bigger advantage than you might think. Taking on two or more enemies at the speed your turret can turn--and given that this is supposed to turn very fast--is nice. So if this thing gets laid upon by tanks, it can help out in a fast, albeit light, support role of the tanks it's escorting. While I realize missiles travel fast, anything to be faster is always good. ]

seeing how there are only 2 missiles, its not going to be taking on more than two, is it?

The ability to launch a missle rapidly doesn't mean a whole lot when's outranged by any decent tank cannon and most Soviet model ATGMs, which the Javelin is. It is designed as a man-portable meduim ATGM, and it does that job well. The TOW is a long range, heavy weapon. Neither can do the other's job.

[ Support role. Key words. ;3

Well, I think this is supposed to support the anti-tank capabilities of regular tanks. Given that that really isn't an anti-aircraft platform's job, I dunno. Still, I'm the one talking, with two mortars, four autocannons, and anti-air missile launchers on a main battle tank.

Though maybe I shouldn't have said they were "obsolete." http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y273/blast_archives/Emotes/icon_ninja.gif ]

I really don't think you need AT missles on a air defense vehicle anyway.

PS: Check your intro thread, I made you an aid package offer.

The AT missiles are for emergency self-defense against tanks, APC's and other vehicles...

Zumorito has decided to take the AAA Platform off the market, since it is obviously too good for the rest of the world.
